Yeşaya 5
1 Sevgilimin bağı için yaktığı ezgiyi sevgilim için okuyayım: Toprağı verimli bir tepede Sevgilimin bir bağı vardı.
Let me sing for my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved had a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
2 Toprağı belleyip taşları ayıkladı, Seçme asmalar dikip orta yere bir gözcü kulesi yaptı. Üzüm sıkmak için bir çukur kazdı Ve bağının üzüm vermesini bekledi. Ama bağ yabanıl üzüm verdi.
and he made a trench about it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also hewed out a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
3 Sevgilim diyor ki, “Ey Yeruşalim'de yaşayanlar ve Yahuda halkı, lütfen benimle bağım arasında hakem olun!
And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
4 Bağım için yapmadığım ne kaldı? Ben üzüm vermesini beklerken niçin yabanıl üzüm verdi?
What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
5 Şimdi bağıma ne yapacağımı size söyleyeyim: Çitini söküp atacağım, varsın yiyip bitirsinler; duvarını yıkacağım, varsın çiğnesinler.
And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; I will break down the fence thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
6 Viraneye çevireceğim onu; budanmayacak, çapalanmayacak; dikenli çalılar bitecek her yanında. Üzerine yağmur yağdırmasınlar diye bulutlara buyruk vereceğim.”
and I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor hoed; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
7 Her Şeye Egemen RAB'bin bağı İsrail halkı, Hoşlandığı fidan da Yahuda halkıdır. RAB adalet bekledi, Zorbalık gördü; Doğruluk bekledi, Feryatlar duydu.
For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
8 Evlerine ev, tarlalarına tarla katanların vay haline! Oturacak yer kalmadı, Ülkede bir tek siz oturuyorsunuz.
Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no room, and ye be made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!
9 Her Şeye Egemen RAB'bin şöyle ant içtiğini duydum: “Büyük ve gösterişli çok sayıda ev ıssız kalacak, İçinde oturan olmayacak.
In mine ears [saith] the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.
10 Çünkü on dönümlük bağ ancak bir bat şarap, Bir homer tohum ancak bir efa tahıl üretecek.”
For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield [but] an ephah.
11 Sabah erkenden kalkıp içki peşinden koşanların, gece geç vakte kadar şarap içip kızışanların vay haline!
Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!
12 Onların şölenlerinde lir, çenk, tef ve kaval çalınır, şarap içilir. Ama RAB'bin yaptıklarına dikkat etmez, ellerinin yapıtına aldırmazlar.
And the harp and the lute, the tabret and the pipe, and wine, are [in] their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.
13 Halkım bilgisizliği yüzünden sürgün edilecek; saygın kişileri kıtlıktan ölecek, kalabalıklar susuzluktan kırılacak.
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, for lack of knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude are parched with thirst.
14 Bu yüzden doymak bilmeyen ölüler diyarı ağzını ardına kadar açtı; Yeruşalim'in soyluları, sıradan insanları ve gürültülü bir şekilde eğlenenleri oraya inecek. (Sheol h7585)
Therefore hell hath enlarged her desire, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth among them, descend [into it]. (Sheol h7585)
15 Hepsi alçaltılacak; dize getirilecek, küstah bakışları alçaltılacak.
And the mean man is bowed down, and the great man is humbled, and the eyes of the lofty are humbled:
16 Ama Her Şeye Egemen RAB adaletinden ötürü yüceltilecek. Kutsal Tanrı doğruluğuyla kutsal olduğunu gösterecek.
but the LORD of hosts is exalted in judgment, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.
17 Kuzular kendi otlaklarındaymış gibi otlayacak, zenginlerin ıssız kalan konutlarını yabancılar ele geçirecek.
Then shall the lambs feed as in their pasture, and the waste places of the fat ones shall wanderers eat.
18 Suçu yalanla örülmüş iplerle, günahı araba urganıyla çekenlerin vay haline!
Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
19 Diyorlar ki, “Tanrı elini çabuk tutup işini hızlandırsın da görelim. İsrail'in Kutsalı tasarladığını yapsın da görelim.”
that say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
20 Kötüye iyi, iyiye kötü diyenlerin, karanlığı ışık, ışığı karanlık yerine koyanların, acıya tatlı, tatlıya acı diyenlerin vay haline!
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Kendilerini bilge görenlerin, akıllı sananların vay haline!
Woe unto them that are wise their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Şarap içmekte sınır tanımayanların, içkileri karıştırıp içmekten çekinmeyenlerin, rüşvet uğruna kötüyü haklı çıkaranların, haklıların hakkını elinden alanların vay haline!
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
which justify the wicked for a reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Alev alev yanan ateş, samanı nasıl yiyip bitirirse, kuru ot alevin içinde nasıl birden tutuşup yok olursa, onlar da kökten çürüyüp gidecek, çiçekleri toz gibi havaya savrulacak. Çünkü Her Şeye Egemen RAB'bin yasasını reddettiler, İsrail'in Kutsalı'nın sözlerini küçümsediler.
Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Bu yüzden RAB'bin halkına karşı öfkesi alevlendi, elini kaldırıp onları vurdu. Dağlar titriyor, cesetler çöp gibi sokaklara serildi. Bütün bunlara karşın RAB'bin öfkesi dinmedi, eli hâlâ kalkmış durumda.
Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them, and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
26 RAB uzaktaki ulusları bir sancak işaretiyle, dünyanın en uzağındakileri ıslık sesiyle çağıracak; hızla, hemen gelecekler.
And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss for them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
27 Aralarında yorulan, sendeleyen olmayacak; uyuklamayacak, uyumayacaklar. Gevşek kemer, kopuk çarık bağı olmayacak.
None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28 Okları sivri, yayları kuruludur. Atlarının toynakları çakmaktaşı, arabalarının tekerlekleri kasırga gibidir.
whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
29 Askerleri dişi aslan gibi, genç aslanlar gibi kükrüyor, homurdanarak avlarını kapıp götürüyorlar. Kimse avlarını pençelerinden kurtaramıyor.
their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and carry it away safe, and there shall be none to deliver.
30 O gün İsrail'e karşı denizin gürleyişi gibi gürleyecekler. Karaya bakan biri karanlık ve sıkıntı görecek. Işık karanlık bulutlarla kaplanacak.
And they shall roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness [and] distress, and the light is darkened in the clouds thereof.
