1 Sonra Tanrı Nuh'u ve gemideki evcil ve yabanıl hayvanları anımsadı. Yeryüzünde bir rüzgar estirdi, sular alçalmaya başladı.
And God remembered Noah, and all the beasts, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.
2 Enginlerin kaynakları, göklerin kapakları kapandı. Yağmur dindi.
Also the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.
3 Sular yeryüzünden çekilmeye başladı. Yüz elli gün geçtikten sonra sular azaldı.
And the waters returned from off the earth continually. And after the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
4 Gemi yedinci ayın on yedinci günü Ararat dağlarına oturdu.
And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5 Sular onuncu aya kadar sürekli azaldı. Onuncu ayın birinde dağların doruğu göründü.
And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.
6 Kırk gün sonra Nuh yapmış olduğu geminin penceresini açtı.
And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.
7 Kuzgunu dışarı gönderdi. Kuzgun sular kuruyuncaya kadar dönmedi, uçup durdu.
And he sent forth a raven. And it went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8 Bunun üzerine Nuh suların yeryüzünden çekilip çekilmediğini anlamak için güvercini gönderdi.
And he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground.
9 Güvercin konacak bir yer bulamadı, çünkü her yer suyla kaplıydı. Gemiye, Nuh'un yanına döndü. Nuh uzanıp güvercini tuttu ve gemiye, yanına aldı.
But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot. And she returned to him to the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. And he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her in to him into the ark.
10 Yedi gün daha bekledi, sonra güvercini yine dışarı saldı.
And he stayed yet another seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.
11 Güvercin gagasında yeni kopmuş bir zeytin yaprağıyla akşamleyin geri döndü. O zaman Nuh suların yeryüzünden çekilmiş olduğunu anladı.
And the dove came in to him at evening. And, lo, in her mouth an olive leaf plucked off, so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
12 Yedi gün daha bekledikten sonra güvercini yine gönderdi. Bu kez güvercin geri dönmedi.
And he stayed yet seven other days, and sent forth the dove. And she did not return again to him any more.
13 Nuh altı yüz bir yaşındayken, birinci ayın birinde yeryüzündeki sular kurudu. Nuh geminin üstündeki kapağı kaldırınca toprağın kurumuş olduğunu gördü.
And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked. And, behold, the face of the ground was dried.
14 İkinci ayın yirmi yedinci günü toprak tümüyle kurumuştu.
And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.
15 Tanrı Nuh'a, “Karın, oğulların ve gelinlerinle birlikte gemiden çık” dedi,
And God spoke to Noah, saying,
Go forth from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.
17 “Kendinle birlikte bütün canlıları, kuşları, hayvanları, sürüngenleri de çıkar. Üresinler, verimli olsunlar, yeryüzünde çoğalsınlar.”
Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee of all flesh, both birds and cattle, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth, that they may breed abundantly on the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
18 Nuh karısı, oğulları ve gelinleriyle birlikte gemiden çıktı.
And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him.
19 Bütün hayvanlar, sürüngenler, kuşlar, yeryüzünde yaşayan her tür canlı da gemiyi terk etti.
Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves upon the earth, according to their families, went forth out of the ark.
20 Nuh RAB'be bir sunak yaptı. Orada bütün temiz sayılan hayvanlarla kuşlardan yakmalık sunular sundu.
And Noah built an altar to Jehovah, and took of every clean beast, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 Güzel kokudan hoşnut olan RAB içinden şöyle dedi: “İnsanlar yüzünden yeryüzünü bir daha lanetlemeyeceğim. Çünkü insan yüreğindeki eğilimler çocukluğundan beri kötüdür. Şimdi yaptığım gibi bütün canlıları bir daha yok etmeyeceğim.
And Jehovah smelled the sweet savor. And Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake, for that the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I again any more smite everything living, as I have done.
22 “Dünya durdukça Ekin ekmek, biçmek, Sıcak, soğuk, Yaz, kış, Gece, gündüz hep var olacaktır.”
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
A Dove is Sent Forth from the Ark
