1 Mesih bizi özgür olalım diye özgür kıldı. Bunun için dayanın. Bir daha kölelik boyunduruğuna girmeyin.
Stand firm, therefore, in the freedom with which Christ has made us free, and be not held fast again in the yoke of bondage.
2 Bakın, ben Pavlus size diyorum ki, sünnet olursanız Mesih'in size hiç yararı olmaz.
Behold, I Paul say to you, that if you be circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.
3 Sünnet edilen her adamı bir daha uyarıyorum: Kutsal Yasa'nın tümünü yerine getirmek zorundadır.
I testify indeed again to every man that is circumcised, that he is bound to do the whole law.
4 Yasa aracılığıyla aklanmaya çalışan sizler Mesih'ten ayrıldınız, Tanrı'nın lütfundan uzak düştünüz.
You that are justified by law, have withdrawn from Christ: you have fallen from grace.
5 Ama biz aklanmanın verdiği umudun gerçekleşmesini Ruh'a dayanarak, imanla bekliyoruz.
For we, through the Spirit which we obtain by faith, wait for the hope of righteousness.
6 Mesih İsa'da ne sünnetliliğin ne de sünnetsizliğin yararı vardır; yararlı olan, sevgiyle etkisini gösteren imandır.
For, in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith that works by love.
7 İyi koşuyordunuz. Sizi gerçeğe uymaktan kim alıkoydu?
You were running well; who kept you back from obedience to the truth?
8 Buna kanmanız sizi çağıranın isteği değildir.
This readiness to be persuaded is not from him that calls you.

A little leaven leavens the whole mass.
10 Başka türlü düşünmeyeceğinize ilişkin Rab'de size güvenim var. Ama aklınızı karıştıran kim olursa olsun, cezasını çekecektir.
I have confidence in you through the Lord, that you will cultivate no other disposition: but he that troubles you, who ever he may be, shall bear his condemnation.
11 Bana gelince, kardeşler, eğer hâlâ sünneti savunuyor olsaydım, bugüne dek baskı görür müydüm? Öyle olsaydı, çarmıh engeli ortadan kalkardı.
But, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why am I yet persecuted? Then, the offense of the cross has ceased.
12 Aklınızı çelenler keşke kendilerini hadım etseler!
that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!
13 Kardeşler, siz özgür olmaya çağrıldınız. Ancak özgürlük benlik için fırsat olmasın. Birbirinize sevgiyle hizmet edin.
For you have been called to freedom, brethren: only use not your freedom as an occasion for the flesh, but become servants to one another, through love.
14 Bütün Kutsal Yasa tek bir sözde özetlenmiştir: “Komşunu kendin gibi seveceksin.”
For all the law is fulfilled in one commandment, in this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
15 Ama birbirinizi ısırıp yiyorsanız, dikkat edin, birbirinizi yok etmeyesiniz!
But if you bite and devour one another, take heed lest you be utterly destroyed by one another.
16 Şunu demek istiyorum: Kutsal Ruh'un yönetiminde yaşayın. O zaman benliğin tutkularını asla yerine getirmezsiniz.
I say this: Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.
17 Çünkü benlik Ruh'a, Ruh da benliğe aykırı olanı arzular. Bunlar birbirine karşıttır; sonuç olarak, istediğinizi yapamıyorsunuz.
For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the desire of the Spirit is against flesh; and these are opposed, the one to the other, so that you can not do what you would.
18 Ruh'un yönetimindeyseniz, Yasa'ya bağımlı değilsiniz.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19 Benliğin işleri bellidir. Bunlar fuhuş, pislik, sefahat, putperestlik, büyücülük, düşmanlık, çekişme, kıskançlık, öfke, bencil tutkular, ayrılıklar, bölünmeler, çekememezlik, sarhoşluk, çılgın eğlenceler ve benzeri şeylerdir. Sizi daha önce uyardığım gibi yine uyarıyorum, böyle davrananlar Tanrı Egemenliği'ni miras alamayacaklar.
Now the works of the flesh are well known, and they are these―lewdness, uncleanness, wantonness,
idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strifes, jealousies, anger, party-spirit, divisions, sects,
envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; with respect to which, I tell you now, as I also told you in times past, that those who practice such things shall riot inherit the kingdom of God.
22 Ruh'un ürünüyse sevgi, sevinç, esenlik, sabır, şefkat, iyilik, bağlılık, yumuşak huyluluk ve özdenetimdir. Bu tür nitelikleri yasaklayan yasa yoktur.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness,
meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
24 Mesih İsa'ya ait olanlar, benliği, tutku ve arzularıyla birlikte çarmıha germişlerdir.
Now those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 Ruh sayesinde yaşıyorsak, Ruh'un izinde yürüyelim.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Boş yere övünen, birbirine meydan okuyan, birbirini kıskanan kişiler olmayalım.
Let us not be vain-glorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
