Yasa'Nin Tekrari 30
1 “Bütün bu olaylar –önünüze serdiğim kutsama ve lanetler– başınıza geldiğinde, Tanrınız RAB'bin sizi dağıttığı uluslar arasında bunları anımsayacaksınız.
And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou reflectest on them in thy heart among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,
2 Bugün size ilettiğim buyruklar uyarınca siz ve çocuklarınız Tanrınız RAB'be döner, bütün yüreğinizle, bütün canınızla O'na uyarsanız,
So that thou returnest unto the Lord thy God, and hearkenest unto his voice according to all that I command this day, thou and thy children, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul:
3 Tanrınız RAB size acıyacak, sizi sürgünden geri getirecek. Sizi dağıttığı ulusların arasından yeniden toplayacak.
That then the Lord thy God will restore thy captivity, and have mercy upon thee; and he will again gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
4 Dünyanın öbür ucuna sürülmüş olsanız bile, Tanrınız RAB sizleri toplayıp geri getirecek.
If thy outcasts be at the outmost parts of heaven, from there will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from there will he fetch thee:
5 Sizi atalarınızın mülk edindiği ülkeye ulaştıracak. Orayı miras alacaksınız. Tanrınız RAB üzerinize iyilik getirecek ve sizi atalarınızdan daha çok çoğaltacak.
And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6 Sizin ve çocuklarınızın yüreğini değiştirecek. Öyle ki, O'nu bütün yüreğinizle, bütün canınızla sevesiniz ve yaşayasınız.
And the Lord thy God will circumcise thy heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, in order that thou mayest live.
7 Tanrınız RAB bütün bu lanetleri sizden nefret edenlerin, size baskı yapan düşmanlarınızın üzerine yağdıracak.
And the Lord thy God will put all these denunciations upon thy enemies, and on those that hate thee, who have persecuted thee.
8 Siz yine RAB'bin sözüne kulak verecek, bugün size ilettiğim buyrukların hepsine uyacaksınız.
And thou wilt return and hearken unto the voice of the Lord, and thou wilt do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
9 Tanrınız RAB el attığınız her işte sizi başarılı kılacak; çok sayıda çocuğunuz olacak, hayvanlarınızın yavruları, toprağınızın ürünü bol olacak. RAB atalarınızdan nasıl hoşnut kaldıysa, sizden de öyle hoşnut kalacak ve sizi başarılı kılacak.
And the Lord thy God will make thee pre-eminent in every work of thy hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good; for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers;
10 Yeter ki, Tanrınız RAB'bin sözünü dinleyin, bu Yasa Kitabı'nda yazılı buyruklarına, kurallarına uyun ve bütün yüreğinizle, bütün canınızla O'na dönün.
If thou wilt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law; if thou wilt return unto the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.
11 “Bugün size ilettiğim bu buyruk ne tutamayacağınız kadar zor, ne de ulaşamayacağınız kadar uzaktır.
For this commandment which I command thee this day, is not hidden from thee, nor is it far off.
12 O göklerde değil ki, ‘Kim bizim için göğe çıkacak? Kim yerine getirmemiz için onu alıp yayacak?’ diyesiniz.
It is not in heaven; that thou shouldst say, Who will go up for us to heaven, and fetch it down unto us, and cause us to hear it, that we may do it?
13 Denizin ötesinde değil ki, ‘Kim bizim için denizin ötesine gidecek? Kim yerine getirmemiz için onu alıp yayacak?’ diyesiniz.
Neither is it beyond the sea; that thou shouldst say, Who will go over the sea for us, and fetch it unto us, and cause us to hear it, that we may do it!
14 Tanrı sözü size çok yakındır; uymanız için ağzınızda ve yüreğinizdedir.
But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
15 “İşte bugün önünüze yaşamla iyiliği, ölümle kötülüğü koyuyorum.
See, I have set before thee this day life and the good, death and the evil;
16 Bugün size Tanrınız RAB'bi sevmeyi, yollarında yürümeyi, buyruklarına, kurallarına, ilkelerine uymayı buyuruyorum. Öyle ki, yaşayasınız, çoğalasınız ve mülk edinmek için gideceğiniz ülkede Tanrınız RAB tarafından kutsanasınız.
In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances; that thou mayest live and multiply; and that the Lord thy God may bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 “Eğer yoldan döner, kulak vermezseniz, ayartılır, başka ilahlara eğilip taparsanız,
But if thy heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hearken, and thou sufferest thyself to be drawn away, and thou bowest down to other gods, and servest them:
18 bugün size kesinlikle yok olacağınızı bildiriyorum. Şeria Irmağı'ndan geçip mülk edinmek için gideceğiniz ülkede uzun yaşamayacaksınız.
I announce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish; ye shall not remain many days upon the land, whither thou passest over the Jordan to go thither to possess it.
19 “Önünüze yaşamla ölümü, kutsamayla laneti koyduğuma bugün yeri göğü size karşı tanık gösteriyorum. Yaşamı seçin ki, siz de çocuklarınız da yaşayasınız.
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose thou life, in order that thou mayest live, both thou and thy seed;
20 Tanrınız RAB'bi sevin, sözüne uyup O'na bağlanın. RAB yaşamınızdır; kendilerine vereceğine ilişkin atalarınız İbrahim'e, İshak'a, Yakup'a söz verdiği ülkede uzun yaşamanızı sağlayacaktır.”
To love the Lord thy God, to hearken to his voice, and to cleave unto him; for he is thy life, and the length of thy days; that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give unto them.
