Daniel 9
1 Medli Ahaşveroş oğlu Darius Kildan Kralı oldu. Krallığının birinci yılında ben Daniel, RAB'bin Peygamber Yeremya'ya bildirdiği sayının –Yeruşalim'in ıssız kalacağı yılların sayısının– yetmiş olduğunu Kutsal Yazılar'dan anladım.
In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans,
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years of which the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.
3 Bunun üzerine yüzümü Rab Tanrı'ya çevirdim. Duayla, yakarışla, oruçla O'na yalvardım; çul kuşanıp külde oturdum.
And I set my face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
4 RAB Tanrım'a dua edip günahlarımızı itiraf ettim. Şöyle dedim: “Ya Rab, kendisini sevenlerle, buyruklarına uyanlarla yaptığı antlaşmaya bağlı kalan yüce ve görkemli Tanrı!
And I prayed to Jehovah my God, and made confession, and said, Oh, Lord, the great and fearful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,
5 Buyruklarından, ilkelerinden ayrılıp günah, suç işledik, kötülük yaptık, başkaldırdık.
we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from thy precepts and from thine ordinances,
6 Senin adına krallarımıza, önderlerimize, atalarımıza, ülkedeki bütün halka seslenen kulların peygamberleri dinlemedik.
nor have we hearkened to thy servants the prophets, who spoke in thy name to our kings, our rulers, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 “Sen adaletlisin, ya Rab! Sadakatsizliğimiz yüzünden bizi uzak yakın ülkelere sürdün. Oralarda yaşayan biz Yahudiler, Yeruşalim halkı, İsrailliler bugün utanç içindeyiz.
O Lord, righteousness belongs to thee, but to us confusion of face, as at this day, to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near, and who are far off, through all the countries where thou have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 Evet, ya RAB, bizler, krallarımız, önderlerimiz, atalarımız sana karşı işlediğimiz günah yüzünden utanç içindeyiz.
O Lord, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9 Sana karşı geldiğimiz halde, sen acıyan, bağışlayan Tanrımız Rab'sin.
To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him,
10 Tanrımız RAB'bin sözüne kulak vermedik, kulları peygamberler aracılığıyla bize verdiği yasalara uymadık.
nor have we obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Bütün İsrail halkı yasanı çiğnedi, sırtını sana dönüp seni dinlemek istemedi. “Bu yüzden Tanrı kulu Musa'nın Yasası'nda yazılan lanet başımıza yağdı, içilen ant yerine geldi. Çünkü sana karşı günah işledik.
Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even turning aside, that they should not obey thy voice. Therefore the curse has been poured out upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God. For we have sinned against him.
12 Üzerimize büyük yıkım getirerek bizim ve bizi yöneten önderlerimiz için söylediğin sözleri yerine getirdin. Yeruşalim'in başına gelen, göğün altındaki başka hiçbir kentin başına gelmemiştir.
And he has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil, for under the whole heaven has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem.
13 Musa'nın Yasası'nda yazıldığı gibi, bütün bu yıkımlar başımıza geldi. Buna karşın, ey Tanrımız RAB, suçumuzdan dönüp senin gerçeklerine yönelerek lütfunu dilemedik.
As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come upon us. Yet we have not entreated the favor of Jehovah our God, that we should turn from our iniquities, and have discernment in thy truth.
14 RAB üzerimize yıkım göndermekten caymadı. Çünkü Tanrımız RAB yaptığı her şeyde adildir. Bizse O'nun sözüne kulak vermedik.
Therefore Jehovah has watched over the evil, and brought it upon us, for Jehovah our God is righteous in all his works which he does, and we have not obeyed his voice.
15 “Ey Tanrımız Rab, sen halkını Mısır'dan güçlü elinle çıkardın ve bugün olduğu gibi ün kazandın. Bizse günah işledik, kötülük yaptık.
And now, O Lord our God, who has brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and has gotten thee renown, as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 Ya Rab, doğru işlerin uyarınca kentin Yeruşalim'den, kutsal dağından öfkeni, kızgınlığını kaldırmanı dilerim. Günahlarımız ve atalarımızın suçları yüzünden Yeruşalim de halkın da çevremizdekilerin tümüne alay konusu oldu.
O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, let thine anger and thy wrath, I pray thee, be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain. Because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people have become a reproach to all who are round about us.
17 “Şimdi, ey Tanrımız, kulunun duasını, yakarışını işit. Adın uğruna, ya Rab, yüzünü viran tapınağına çevir.
Now therefore, O our God, hearken to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18 Ey Tanrım, kulak ver ve işit! Gözlerini aç, senin olan viran kenti gör. Doğruluğumuzdan değil, senin büyük merhametinden ötürü dilekte bulunuyoruz.
O my God, incline thine ear, and hear. Open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name. For we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies' sake.
19 Ya Rab, dinle! Ya Rab, bağışla! İşit ve davran, ya Rab! Ey Tanrım, adının hatırı için gecikme! Çünkü kent ve halk senindir.”
O Lord, hear. O Lord, forgive. O Lord, hearken and do. Defer not, for thine own sake, O my God, because thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
20 Ben daha konuşup dua ederken, günahımı ve halkım İsrail'in günahını açıkça kabul edip Tanrım'ın kutsal dağı için Tanrım RAB'be dilekte bulunurken,
And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God,
21 daha dua ediyorken, önceden görümde gördüğüm adam –Cebrail– akşam sunusu saatinde hızla uçarak yanıma geldi.
yea, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
22 “Daniel, sana anlayış vermek için geldim” diye açıkladı,
And he instructed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I have now come forth to give thee wisdom and understanding.
23 “Sen Tanrı'ya yalvarmaya başlar başlamaz, duan yanıtlandı; bunu bildirmeye geldim. Çünkü sen çok sevilen birisin. Bu nedenle sözün anlamını kavra ve görümü anla:
At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment went forth, and I have come to tell thee, for thou are greatly beloved. Therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision.
24 “Başkaldırıyı ortadan kaldırmak, günaha son vermek, suçu bağışlatmak, sonsuza dek kalıcı doğruluğu sağlamak, görüm ve peygamberliği mühürlemek, En Kutsal'ı meshetmek için senin halkına ve kutsal kentine yetmiş hafta kadar zaman saptanmıştır.
Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.
25 “Şunu bil ve anla: Yeruşalim'i yeniden kurmak için buyruğun verilmesinden, meshedilmiş olan önderin gelişine dek yedi hafta geçecek. Altmış iki hafta içinde Yeruşalim yeniden sokaklarla, hendeklerle kurulacak. Ancak bu sıkıntılı zamanlarda olacak.
Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the anointed one, the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublesome times.
26 Bu altmış iki hafta sonunda meshedilmiş olan öldürülecek ve onu destekleyen olmayacak. Gelecek önderin halkı, kenti ve kutsal yeri yerle bir edecek. Sonu tufanla olacak: Savaş sona dek sürecek. Yıkımların da olacağı kararlaştırıldı.
And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one shall be cut off, and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, and the end of it shall be with a flood. And even to the end shall be war; desolations are determined.
27 Gelecek önder birçoklarıyla bir haftalık sağlam bir antlaşma yapacak. Haftanın yarısı geçince, kurbanı da sunuyu da kaldıracak. Kararlaştırılan yıkım başına gelinceye dek yok edici önder tapınağın üst bölümüne yıkıcı iğrenç şeyler yerleştirecek.”
And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end, and that determined, wrath shall be poured out upon the desolate.
