1 Vay başına Siyon'daki kaygısızların, Samiriye Dağı'nda kendilerini güvende sananların, İsrail halkının başvurduğu Önder ulusun tanınmış insanlarının!

2 Kalne Kenti'ne gidin de görün, Oradan büyük Hama'ya geçin, Filistliler'in Gat Kenti'ne inin, Sizin bu krallıklarınızdan daha mı iyiler? Toprakları sizinkinden daha mı geniş?

5 Çenk eşliğinde türkü söyleyenler, Davut gibi beste yapanlar,
and ye syngen at vois of sautree. As Dauid thei gessiden hem for to haue instrumentis of song, and drynken wyn in viols;
6 Tas tas şarap içenler, Yağların en güzelini sürünenler, Yusuf'un yıkımına kederlenmeyenler!
