1 Yizın çocar, şoqa geeb mə'əllimar mooxhecen. Şok'le ats'an, şi, mə'əllimaaşe geed yı'q'ı'n hı'sab qeles.
Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
2 Yişde gırgıng'vee gellesde işbışee bınah haa'a. Şavaayiy cuvab eyheng'a bınah hidyaa'a, mana mu'mun, cussecar vuc xıle aqqas əxəna insan vor.
For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle his entire body as well.
3 Balkanaaşe şi eyhen he'ecenva, şi mançine ghalyaqa g'antarağa qa'a. Mançile qiyğab şi mana şas vukkanne suralqa alivk'ar haa'a.
Behold, we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they will obey us, and we guide their entire bodies.
4 İlyaake, nimee xədın gamı ixheeyid, nimee ç'ak'ın mıtsbı e'eeyid, man ar ulyorzulyung'vee k'ınne ruluka, cus ıkkanne suralqa he'ekka.
Or take ships for example, though they are so large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot directs.
5 Mizenıd həməxüd ha'a, tanan sa k'ınin sura ixheeyid, çincab vuc geeb xəbna xhinne haagva. İlyaakende, sa k'ınne ts'ünqün bıkırın ç'alagcad gyoxhxhan ha'a.
In the same way, the tongue is a small member, yet it makes great boasts. Consider how great a forest a little fire kindles.
6 Mizib ts'acab vobna. Miz canane əzaabışde əree nekke qopkuvalla deşin əzaa vod. Mançin insan bıkırra əqə'əna. Mana cehinnyamıke g'ooxha, qiyğab mançin ı'mı'rcab gyooxhan ha'a. (Geenna g1067)
And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is placed among our members as a world of unrighteousness, staining the entire body, setting the course of life on fire, and itself being set on fire by hell. (Geenna g1067)
7 Gırgıncad həyvanar, şit'yar, hadağvan həyvanar, deryaheedın həyvanar, manbı insanaaşisse saq'vana'as əxənbı.
Every species of beast, bird, reptile, and sea creature can be tamed and has been tamed by man,
8 Miz saq'vana'asmee insanaaşine neng'ussecab vəəxə deş. Miz avqas dyooxhena balyaa vob, mana gyabat'ane zəhərıka gyavts'u vob.
but no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Şi mane mizeka yişda Rəbb, Dekkır axtı qa'ana, insanaaşisıb bed-düə haa'ana. Nya'a, gırgın insanar Allahee Cuk akaraba dişde ipxhın?
With it we bless God our Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in God's likeness.
10 Sa ghalençecab şukurub, bed-düəəyib qığəəna. Yizın çocar, məxüd ixhes ıkkan deş.
Out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, this ought not to be so.
11 Sa xhyan ı'lqəəne cigeençe, sayangada yuguniy q'ap'ın xhyan ılqeç'ennexhe?
Does a spring pour out fresh water and bitter water from the same opening?
12 Yizın çocar, inciliyne yivesse zeytun, tayangısseb inciliy aleylyaa'as vəəxəyee? Həməxdıd, sa xhyan ı'lqəəne cigeençe sayangada, yuguniy q'ap'ın xhyan ı'lqəən deşxhe.
Can a fig tree, my brothers, produce olives, or a grapevine figs? In the same way, no spring can produce both salt water and fresh water.
13 Vuşde yı'q'nee, k'orana ək'elynanayiy k'oran ats'alynana vornane? Vuceecar vuc axtı qidy'ı, hasre mang'vee, vucee haa'ane yugne ı'mreeka, vucee hı'iyn yugun işbı k'orane ək'elika hı'ıva hagvecen.
Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show that his works are done with the gentleness that comes from wisdom.
14 De'eş, şu vuşdacab haa'axhe, vuşde yik'eeyib paxılıyvalla vobxhe, şucab şu axtıba vukmekka, şu məxüd hor ha'a.
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast or deny the truth.
15 Məxbına k'orana ək'el xəənçe qabına deş vob, mana ine dyunyeyne, insanna, şeyt'anıkena vob.
This is not the wisdom that comes down from above; rather, it is earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.
16 Nyaabiy insanaaşe conacab haa'a, paxılıyvallab vob, maa'ad alikkı-gikkiy, geed pisvalybı eyxhe.
For where there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice.
17 Xəənçena k'orana ək'el alyapt'ına insan yik' məttına, siç'dekvana, g'üvənana, mizelqa qaraylena, yik' gyotxhanna, yugun işbı ha'ana, neng'uncad sura ıqdyaqqana, aq'vasın hidya'ana vorna.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easily entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, and unhypocritical.
18 İnsanaaşin uğoodıybıyiy duşmaniyvallabı ç'əv haa'anbı yugna toxum oozıynbışik akar. Məxbınbışe qiyğad qopkuvalin şagav sa'a.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
