< Ts'etta ıxhaynbı 4 >
1 Aadam xhunaşşe Həvayka g'alirxhu, mana vuxhne ayxu Gabil uxu. Həvee eyhen: «Rəbbike zı insan pay xhinne alyart'u».
Now Adam had marital relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man from God."
2 Qiyğa məng'ee Gabilna çoc Habil uxooxa. Habil vəq'əbı uxhiyxhanna eyxhe, Gabilir ç'iye ezana.
Again she gave birth, to Cain's brother Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 Sabara vaxt ılğevç'uyle qiyğa Gabilee Rəbbis ç'iyeyl alyadıynçike nugbar adayle.
As time passed, it happened that Cain brought an offering to God from the fruit of the ground.
4 Habileyid ts'etta syurunee ıxhayne nekke yugne vəq'əbışike adayle. Rəbbee Habilir, Habile adıynbıd q'abıl ha'anbı.
And Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. And God looked favorably on Abel and his offering,
5 Gabilir, Gabilee adıynbıd Rəbbee q'abıl ha'a deş. Mançil-alla Gabil it'umra qəllamişxha aq'va gyavaxana'a.
but he did not look favorably on Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry, and the expression on his face fell.
6 Rəbbee Gabilik'le uvhuyn: – Nya'a qəllamişxha? Nya'a aq'va gyavaxanı'ı?
God said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?
7 Nya'a yugna iş haa'axhee, Zı q'abıl hidyaa'aye? Yugna iş hidyaa'axhee, bınahın akkayne ögee gugu hav'u ğu gozet ha'a. Mançin xuruş valqa vod, ğu mançis xəbvalla haa'as vukkan.
If you do well, will it not be lifted up? If you do not do well, sin lies in wait at the door. It desires to control you, but you must rule over it."
8 Qiyğa Gabilee Habilik'le eyhen: – Qora çoleeqa vüqqəs. Maa'ad Gabilee çoculqa xıl g'ot'ul, mana gek'ana.
Cain said to Abel, his brother, "Let's go into the field." It happened when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and killed him.
9 Qiyğa Rəbbee Gabilike qidghın hı'iyn: – Çoc Habil nyaane? Mang'vee eyhen: – Ats'a deş, nya'a zı çocuna g'aravulyne vor?
Then God said to Cain, "Where is Abel, your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"
10 Rəbbee eyhen: – Ğu hı'iyn hucoon?! Çocune eban ç'iyençe Zalqa ona'a.
And God said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground.
11 Mane nyuq'vnen yiğne xıleke k'yapk'ınna çocuna eb hööğəs ghal aaqı. Mançil-allab ğu ine nyuq'vnel bed-düə alyabat'a.
Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.
12 G'iyniyke şaqa ğu nimee yugda ç'iye ezeeyid, mançin vas ıkkanəxüdın kar heles deş. Ğu ciga deşda g'e'eşşuna xhinne ixhes.
From now on, when you till the ground, it won't yield its strength to you. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth."
13 Gabilee Rəbbik'le eyhen: – Yizda cazaa ts'ıts'a'asınçıleb hexxaba vob.
Cain said to God, "My punishment is greater than I can bear.
14 Haane, Ğu zı g'iyna ç'iyeyne aq'valer g'e'eşşena. Valer dyügulyxha, zı ciga deşda ixhes. Şavneyiy ögiylqa qığeç'u, mang'veyir zı gik'asda.
Look, you have driven me out this day from the surface of the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth. It will happen that whoever finds me will kill me."
15 Rəbbee mang'uk'le eyhen: – De'eş. Şavaye Gabil g'ik'u, mang'uke yighılle g'atna qəl qiğaahas. Rəbbee Gabililqa işara giyxhe, mana qızaxıng've gimeek'acenva.
And God said to him, "Not so. Whoever kills Cain vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." And God appointed a sign for Cain, lest any finding him should strike him.
16 Gabil Rəbbike ark'ın Eden bağne şargıl – Nod eyhene cigayl axva giyğal.
So Cain went out from the presence of God and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
Cain had marital relations with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to Enoch. He built a city and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch.
To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad became the father of Mehayiel, and Mehayiel became the father of Methushael, and Methushael became the father of Lamech.
Lamech took two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
Adah gave birth to Jabal, who was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.
His brother's name was Jubal, who was the father of all who play the harp and flute.
Zillah also gave birth to Tubal Cain, who heated metal and shaped instruments of bronze and iron. Tubal Cain's sister was Naamah.
Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice. You wives of Lamech, listen to my speech, for I have slain a man for wounding me, a young man for bruising me.
If Cain will be avenged seven times, truly Lamech seventy-seven times."
Adam had marital relations with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, saying, "For God has appointed me another child instead of Abel, for Cain killed him."
And a son was also born to Seth, and he named him Enosh. This one began to call on the name of God.
