< Sakalaia 12 >
1 ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, ko e tala mamafa, ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova ki ʻIsileli, ko ia ia ʻoku folahi atu ʻae ngaahi langi, mo ne ʻai ʻae tuʻunga ʻo māmani, pea ne ngaohi ʻe ia ʻae laumālie ʻoe tangata ʻi loto ʻiate ia.
The burden of the word of the Lord upon Israel. Thus saith the Lord, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundations of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man in him:
2 “Vakai, te u ngaohi ʻa Selūsalema, ko e ipu fakailifia, ki he kakai kotoa pē ʻoku takatakai ʻiate ia, ʻoka nau ka kāpui ʻa Selūsalema, mo Siuta foki.
Behold I will make Jerusalem a lintel of surfeiting to all the people round about: and Juda also shall be in the siege against Jerusalem.
3 Pea ʻi he ʻaho ko ia te u ngaohi ʻa Selūsalema, ko e maka fakamāfasia ki he kakai kotoa pē: ko kinautolu kotoa pē te nau fua ia, te nau makafokafo ai, neongo ha tānaki fakataha ʻae kakai kotoa pē ʻo māmani ke tauʻi ia.”
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone to all people: all that shall lift it up shall be rent and torn, and all the kingdoms of the earth shall be gathered together against her.
4 ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, “ʻI he ʻaho ko ia te u tā ʻaki ʻae fakailifia, ʻae hoosi kotoa pē, pea tā ʻaki ʻae faha, ʻaia ʻoku heka ki ai: te u fakaʻā hoku mata ki he fale ʻo Siuta, pea taaʻi ke kui ʻae hoosi kotoa pē ʻae kakai.
In that day, saith the Lord, I will strike every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open my eyes upon the house of Juda, and will strike every horse of the nations with blindness.
5 Pea ʻe pehē ʻe he kau pule ʻi Siuta ʻi honau loto, ‘ʻE mālohi ʻae kakai ʻo Selūsalema, koeʻuhi ko Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko honau ʻOtua.’”
And the governors of Juda shall say in their heart: Let the inhabitants of Jerusalem be strengthened for me in the Lord of hosts, their God.
6 “ʻI he ʻaho ko ia te u ngaohi ʻae kau pule ʻi Siuta, ke tatau mo e ʻaiʻanga afi ʻi he loto fefie, pea hangē ko e tūhulu vela ʻi he ū koane; he tenau fakaʻauha takatakai ʻae kakai ʻi he nima toʻomataʻu, pea mo e toʻohema: pea ʻe toe kakai ʻa Selūsalema ʻi hono potu pe ʻoʻona, ʻio, ʻi Selūsalema.
In that day I will make the governors of Juda like a furnace of fire amongst wood, and as a firebrand amongst hay: and they shall devour all the people round about, to the right hand, and to the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place in Jerusalem.
7 ʻE fuofua fakamoʻui ʻe Sihova ʻae ngaahi fale fehikitaki ʻo Siuta, koeʻuhi ke ʻoua naʻa vikiviki mai kia Siuta ʻae nāunau ʻoe fale ʻo Tevita, mo e nāunau ʻoe kakai ʻo Selūsalema.
And the Lord shall save the tabernacles of Juda, as in the beginning: that the house of David, and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, may not boast and magnify themselves against Juda.
8 ʻI he ʻaho ko ia ʻe maluʻi ʻe Sihova ʻae kakai ʻo Selūsalema; pea ko ia ʻoku vaivai ʻiate kinautolu ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ʻe hangē ia ko Tevita; pea hangē ko e ʻOtua ʻae fale ʻo Tevita, ʻo hangē ko e ʻāngelo ʻa Sihova ʻi honau ʻao.
In that day shall the Lord protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and he that hath offended among them in that day shall be as David: and the house of David, as that of God, as an angel of the Lord in their sight.
9 “Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, te u kumi ke fakaʻauha ʻae puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻoku haʻu ke tauʻi ʻa Selūsalema.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
And I will pour out upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace, and of prayers: and they shall look upon me, whom they have pierced: and they shall mourn for him as one mourneth for an only son, and they shall grieve over him, as the manner is to grieve for the death of the firstborn.
11 ʻE ai ʻae tangilāulau lahi ʻi Selūsalema, ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ʻo hangē ko e tangilāulau ʻa Hatatilimoni ʻi he teleʻa ko Mekitoni.
In that day there shall be a great lamentation in Jerusalem like the lamentation of Adadremmon in the plain of Mageddon.
12 Pea ʻe tangi ʻae fonua, pea fai taki taha ʻe he faʻahinga; ko e faʻahinga ʻoe fale ʻo Tevita maʻana, pea mo honau ngaahi uaifi maʻanautolu; ko e faʻahinga ʻoe fale ʻo Natani maʻana, pea mo honau ngaahi uaifi maʻanautolu;
And the land shall mourn: families and families apart: the families of the house of David apart, and their women apart:
13 Ko e faʻahinga ʻoe fale ʻo Livai maʻana, pea mo honau ngaahi uaifi maʻanautolu; ko e faʻahinga ʻo Simei maʻana, pea mo honau ngaahi uaifi maʻanautolu;
The families of the house of Nathan apart, and their women apart: the families of the house of Levi apart, and their women apart: the families of Semei apart, and their women apart.
14 Pea mo e ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoku toe, ko e taki taha maʻana ʻi hono faʻahinga, pea mo honau ngaahi uaifi maʻanautolu.
All the rest of the families, families and families apart, and their women apart.
