1 Ko ia ko kitautolu ʻoku mālohi ʻoku totonu ke tau kātaki ʻae ngaahi vaivai ʻoe vaivai, pea ʻoua naʻa fakafiemālie kiate kitautolu pē.
And we ought—we who are strong—to bear the weaknesses of the powerless, and not to please ourselves;
2 Ke tau taki taha fakafiemālie kotoa pē ki hono kaungāʻapi, ke lelei ai mo langa hake ai ia.
for let each one of us please the neighbor for good, for edification,
3 He naʻe ʻikai fakafiemālie ʻa Kalaisi ʻe ia; kae hangē ko ia kuo tohi, “Ko e ngaahi manuki ʻanautolu naʻe manukiʻi koe, naʻe tō kiate au.”
for even the Christ did not please Himself, but according as it has been written: “The reproaches of those reproaching You fell on Me”;
4 He ko e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē naʻe tohi ʻi muʻa, naʻe tohi ko hotau akonaki, koeʻuhi ko e meʻa ʻi he faʻa kātaki mo e fakafiemālie ʻoe ngaahi tohi, ketau maʻu ai ʻae ʻamanaki lelei.
for as many things as were written before, for our instruction were written before, that through the endurance, and the exhortation of the Writings, we might have the hope.
5 Pea ko eni, ke tuku kiate kimoutolu ʻe he ʻOtua ʻoe faʻa kātaki mo e fiemālie, ke mou felototatauʻaki pē kiate kimoutolu ʻo tatau mo Kalaisi Sisu:
And may the God of the endurance, and of the exhortation, give to you to have the same mind toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,
6 Koeʻuhi ke mou loto taha pē, mo ngutu taha pē, ʻi he fakamālō ki he ʻOtua, ʻio, ko e Tamai ʻa hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi.
that with one accord—with one mouth—you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ;
for this reason receive one another, according as also the Christ received us, to the glory of God.
And I say Jesus Christ to have become a servant of circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises to the fathers,
9 Pea koeʻuhi ke fakamālō ki he ʻOtua ʻae ngaahi Senitaile koeʻuhi ko ʻene ʻaloʻofa; ʻo hangē ko ia kuo tohi, “Ko e meʻa ko ia te u fakaongolelei ai koe ʻi he ngaahi Senitaile, ʻo hiva ki ho huafa.”
and the nations for kindness to glorify God, according as it has been written: “Because of this I will confess to You among nations, and to Your Name I will sing praise”;
10 Pea toe pehē ʻe ia, “Ke fiefia ʻakimoutolu ʻae ngaahi Senitaile, fakataha mo hono kakai.”
and again it says, “Rejoice you nations, with His people”;
11 Pea toe pehē, “Fakafetaʻi ki he ʻEiki ʻakimoutolu ʻae ngaahi Senitaile kotoa pē: fakaongolelei ia, ʻakimoutolu ʻae kakai kotoa pē.”
and again, “Praise the LORD, all you nations; and laud Him, all you peoples”;
and again, Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, and He who is rising to rule nations—on Him will nations hope”;
13 Pea ko eni, [ʻofa ]ke fakafonu ʻakimoutolu ʻe he ʻOtua ʻoe ʻamanaki lelei, ʻaki ʻae fiefia mo e melino ʻi he tui, koeʻuhi ke mou mohu ʻamanaki lelei, ʻi he mālohi ʻoe Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni.
and the God of the hope will fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, for your abounding in the hope in power of the Holy Spirit.
14 Pea ko au foki, ʻoku ou ʻilo pau kiate kimoutolu, ko hoku kāinga, kuo fonu ʻakimoutolu foki ʻi he angalelei, kuo fakapito ʻakimoutolu ʻi he ʻilo kotoa pē, mo e mafai foki ke fetokoniʻaki ʻakimoutolu.
And I am persuaded, my brothers—I myself also—concerning you, that you yourselves also are full of goodness, having been filled with all knowledge, also able to admonish one another;
15 Ka kuo u tohi mālohi atu nai kiate kimoutolu, ʻe kāinga, koeʻuhi ke fakamanatuʻi ʻakimoutolu, ko e meʻa ʻi he ʻofa ʻaia kuo foaki kiate au ʻe he ʻOtua,
and the more boldly I wrote to you, brothers, in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me by God,
16 Koeʻuhi ke u hoko ai ko e faifekau ʻa Sisu Kalaisi ki he kakai Senitaile, ʻo tauhi ʻae ongoongolelei ʻae ʻOtua, koeʻuhi ke ʻaonga hono feilaulau ʻaki ʻoe ngaahi Senitaile, kuo fakamāʻoniʻoniʻi ʻe he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni.
for my being a servant of Jesus Christ to the nations, acting as priest in the good news of God, that the offering up of the nations may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17 Ko ia ʻoku ou maʻu ʻaia ke u fakamālō ai ʻia Sisu Kalaisi, ʻi he ngaahi meʻa ko ia ʻoku kau ki he ʻOtua.
I have, then, a boasting in Christ Jesus, in the things pertaining to God,
18 He ʻoku ʻikai te u faʻa lea ki he ngaahi meʻa ko ia naʻe ʻikai fai ʻe Kalaisi ʻiate au, ke fakatalangofua ʻae ngaahi Senitaile, ʻi he lea mo e ngāue,
for I will not dare to speak anything of the things that Christ did not work through me, to obedience of nations, by word and deed,
19 ‌ʻI he ngaahi mana lahi mo fakaofo, ʻi he mālohi ʻoe Laumālie ʻoe ʻOtua; pea kuo ʻaonga ʻeku malangaʻaki ʻae ongoongolelei ʻa Kalaisi, ʻo fai mei Selūsalema, ʻo fakatakamilo ʻo aʻu ki Ililekomi.
in power of signs and wonders, in power of the Spirit of God; so that I, from Jerusalem, and in a circle as far as Illyricum, have fully preached the good news of the Christ;
20 ‌ʻIo, naʻe pehē ʻeku feinga ke malangaʻaki ʻae ongoongolelei, ʻikai ʻi he potu kuo huaʻaki ai ʻa kalaisi, telia naʻaku fokotuʻu ʻoha tangata kehe.
and so counting it honor to proclaim good news, not where Christ was named—that on another’s foundation I might not build—
but according as it has been written: “To whom it was not told concerning Him, they will see; and they who have not heard, will understand.”
22 Ko ia ko e meʻa ko ia foki kuo lahi ʻene taʻofi au, pea kuo ʻikai ai te u ʻalu atu kiate kimoutolu.
For this reason, also, I was hindered many times from coming to you,
23 Ka ko eni, ʻoku ʻikai kei toe haʻaku potu ʻi he ngaahi fonua ni, pea ʻi heʻeku holi lahi ʻi he ngaahi taʻu lahi ke u ʻalu atu kiate kimoutolu;
and now, no longer having place in these parts, and having a longing to come to you for many years,
24 ‌ʻOka hoko hoku fononga, pea ke mou moimoiʻi au ʻi hoku fononga, ʻoka hili ʻeku maʻu ʻae fiemālie siʻi ʻiate kimoutolu.
when I may go on to Spain I will come to you, for I hope in going through, to see you, and by you to be set forward there, if of you first, in part, I will be filled.
25 Ka ko eni, ʻoku ou ʻalu ki Selūsalema, ke tokoni ki he kāinga māʻoniʻoni.
And now, I go on to Jerusalem, ministering to the holy ones;
26 He naʻe lelei kiate kinautolu ʻo Masitōnia mo ʻAkeia ke fai ʻae tānaki koloa maʻae kāinga māʻoniʻoni ʻoku masiva ʻi Selūsalema.
for it pleased Macedonia and Achaia well to make a certain contribution for the poor of the holy ones who [are] in Jerusalem;
27 Kuo nau fai loto lelei eni; pea ko honau kau fai totongi totonu ʻakinautolu. He kapau kuo fakakau ʻae Senitaile ke maʻu ʻenau ngaahi meʻa fakalaumālie, ko ʻenau ngāue totonu ia ke tokoni ʻaki ʻakinautolu ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakamaama.
for it pleased well, and their debtors they are, for if the nations participated in their spiritual things, they ought also, in the fleshly things, to minister to them.
This, then, having finished, and having sealed to them this fruit, I will return through you, to Spain;
29 Pea ʻoku ou ʻilo, ʻo kau ka aʻu atu kiate kimoutolu, te u ʻalu atu ʻi hono fonu ʻoe tāpuaki ʻoe ongoongolelei ʻo Kalaisi.
and I have known that coming to you—in the fullness of the blessing of the good news of Christ I will come.
30 Pea ko eni, ʻoku ou kole kiate kimoutolu, ʻe kāinga, koeʻuhi ko hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi, pea koeʻuhi ko e ʻofa ʻoe Laumālie, ke mou fekuki mo au ʻi hoʻomou ngaahi lotu ki he ʻOtua koeʻuhi ko au;
And I call on you, brothers, through our Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in the prayers for me to God,
31 Koeʻuhi ke fakahaofi au meiate kinautolu ʻi Siutea ʻoku talangataʻa; pea koeʻuhi ko ʻeku ngāue ki Selūsalema, ke ʻaonga ia ki he kāinga māʻoniʻoni;
that I may be delivered from those not believing in Judea, and that my ministry, that [is] for Jerusalem, may become acceptable to the holy ones;
32 Pea koeʻuhi ke u aʻu atu kiate kimoutolu ʻi he fiefia ʻi he finangalo ʻoe ʻOtua, pea ke fakafiemālieʻi au mo kimoutolu.
that in joy I may come to you, through the will of God, and may be refreshed with you,
33 Pea ko eni, ke ʻiate kimoutolu kotoa pē ʻae ʻOtua ʻoe melino. ʻEmeni
and the God of peace [be] with you all. Amen.
