< Fakahā 21 >
1 Pea ne u mamata ki he langi foʻou mo e fonua foʻou: he kuo mole atu ʻae ʻuluaki langi mo e ʻuluaki fonua: pea naʻe ʻikai kei ʻi ai ha tahi.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away: and the sea was no more.
2 Pea ko au Sione, ne u mamata ki he kolo māʻoniʻoni, ko Selūsalema foʻou, ʻoku ʻalu hifo mei he ʻOtua ʻi he langi, kuo teuteu ʻo hangē ha taʻahine kuo teu ki hono ʻeiki taʻane.
And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven, from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 Pea ne u fanongo ki he leʻo lahi mei he langi, ʻoku pehē, “Vakai, ko e fale fehikitaki ʻoe ʻOtua ʻoku ʻi he kakai, pea ʻe nofo ia mo kinautolu; pea te nau hoko ko hono kakai, pea ʻe ʻiate kinautolu ʻae ʻOtua, ko honau ʻOtua.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them: and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them, their God.
4 Pea ʻe holoholo ʻe he ʻOtua ʻae loʻimata kotoa pē mei honau mata; pea ʻe ʻikai kei ai ha mate, pe ha ongosia, pe ha tangi, pea ʻe ʻikai kei ai ha mamahi: he kuo mole atu ʻae ngaahi meʻa muʻa.”
And he will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death; neither shall there be any more sorrow, nor crying, nor pain; for the former things have passed away.
5 Pea ko ia naʻe nofo ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki naʻe pehē ʻe ia, “Vakai, ʻoku ou fakafoʻou ʻae ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē.” Pea ne pehē mai kiate au, “Tohi: he ʻoku moʻoni mo totonu ʻae ngaahi lea ni.”
And he that sat upon the throne said: Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me: Write, for these words are true and faithful.
6 Pea ne pehē mai kiate au, “Kuo fai ia. Ko au ko e ʻAlifa mo ʻOmeka, ko e kamataʻanga mo e ngataʻanga. Te u foaki taʻetotongi mei he matavai moʻui kiate ia ʻoku fieinu.
And he said to me: It is done; I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him that thirsts, I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 Ko ia ia ʻe ikuna, ʻe maʻu ʻe ia ʻae ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē; pea teu hoko ko hono ʻOtua, pea ʻe hoko ia ko hoku foha.
He that overcomes, shall inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 Ka ko e loto foʻi, mo e taʻetui, mo e fakalielia, mo e kau fakapō, mo e kau feʻauaki, mo e kau fiemana, mo e kau tauhi tamapua, mo e loi kotoa pē, ko honau tofiʻa ʻoku ʻi he ano ʻoku vela ʻi he afi mo e sulifa: ʻaia ko e mate ʻangaua.” (Limnē Pyr )
But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the detestable, and murderers and lewd persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Limnē Pyr )
9 Pea ko e tokotaha ʻi he ʻāngelo ʻe toko fitu, ʻakinautolu naʻe ʻi ai ʻae hina ʻe fitu kuo fonu ʻi he malaʻia fakamui ʻe fitu, naʻe haʻu kiate au, ʻo lea mai kiate au, mo pehē, “Haʻu ki heni, te u fakahā kiate koe ʻae taʻahine, ko e uaifi ʻoe Lami.”
And there came one of the seven angels that had the seven cups full of the seven last plagues; and he talked with me, saying: Come hither, and I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
10 Pea naʻe ʻāvea au ʻi he laumālie ki ha moʻunga lahi mo māʻolunga ʻo ne fakahā kiate au ʻae kolo lahi ko ia, ʻae Selūsalema māʻoniʻoni, ʻoku ʻalu hifo mei loto langi mei he ʻOtua,
And he carried me away in spirit to a mountain, great and high, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
11 Kuo ʻi ai ʻae nāunau ʻoe ʻOtua: pea ko hono maama naʻe tatau mo e maka koloa mahuʻinga lahi ʻaupito, ʻio, ʻe hangē ko e maka ko e sasipa, ʻoku ʻāsinisini ʻo hangē ko e kalisitala;
having the glory of God: that which gave it light was like a most costly stone, like jasper-stone, brilliant as crystal.
It had a wall, great and high; and it had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel;
13 Naʻe tolu ʻae matapā ki he potu hahake; naʻe tolu ʻae matapā ki he potu tokelau; naʻe tolu ʻae matapā ki he potu tonga; naʻe tolu ʻae matapā ki he potu lulunga.
on the east, three gates; on the north, three gates; on the south, three gates; and on the west, three gates.
And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 Pea ko ia naʻa ne talanoa mai kiate au, naʻa ne maʻu ʻae vaʻa kaho koula, ke fuofua ʻaki ʻae kolo, mo hono ngaahi matapā, mo hono ʻā.
And he that talked with me had a measure, a golden reed, that he might measure the city, and its gates, and its wall.
16 Pea ʻoku tapa fā tatau pe ʻae kolo, pea ʻoku tatau hono lōloa mo hono māukupu: pea ne fuofua ʻaki ʻae vaʻa kaho ʻae kolo, ko e maile ʻe taha afe mo e nimangeau. Ko hono lōloa mo hono māukupu mo hono māʻolunga ʻoku tatau pe.
And the city lies square: and its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs: the length, and the breadth, and the hight of it are equal.
17 Pea naʻe fuofua ʻae ʻā, ko e kiupite ʻe teau ma fāngofulu ma fā, ʻi he fuofua ʻoe tangata, ʻa ia, ko e ʻāngelo.
And he measured the wall of it, a hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
18 Pea naʻe langa ʻaki ʻa hono ʻā ʻae sasipa: pea ko e kolo ko e koula haohaoa, ʻo hangē ha sioʻata ʻāsinisini.
And the wall of it was built of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
19 Pea ko e ngaahi tuʻunga ʻoe ʻā ʻoe kolo, naʻe sipa; ko hono ua, ko e safaia; ko hono tolu, ko e kalisitone; ko hono fā, ko e ʻemalata;
And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every costly stone: the first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;
20 Ko hono nima, ko e satoniki; ko hono ono, ko e satio; ko hono fitu, ko e kalisolaite; ko hono valu, ko e pelili; ko hono hiva, ko e topasi ko hono hongofulu, ko e kelaisapaso ko hono hongofulu ma taha, ko e sasini; ko hono hongofulu ma ua, ko e ʻametisi.
the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, crysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, hyacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
22 Pea naʻe ʻikai te u mamata ʻi ai ki ha fale tapu: he ko hono fale tapu ʻoʻona ʻae ʻEiki ko e ʻOtua Māfimafi pea mo e Lami.
And I saw no temple in it: for the Lord God the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple.
23 Pea naʻe ʻikai ʻaonga ʻae laʻā ki he kolo, pe ko e māhina, ke ulo ʻi ai: he ʻoku fakamaama ia 'e he naunau 'oe 'Otua, pea ko e Lami, ko hono maama ia 'o'ona.
And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God gave it light, and the lamp of it is the Lamb.
24 Pea ko e ngaahi pule'anga 'o kinautolu 'e fakamo'ui te nau 'a'eva 'i hono maama: pea 'oku 'omi ki ai 'e he ngaahi tu'i 'o māmani ʻa honau nāunau mo e fakaʻapaʻapa.
And the nations shall walk by the light of it; and the kings of the earth bring their glory and their honor into it.
25 Pea ʻe ʻikai tāpuni ʻa hono ngaahi matapā ʻi he ʻaho; he koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai ʻi ai ha pō.
And its gates shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 Pea te nau ʻomi ki ai ʻae nāunau mo e fakaʻapaʻapa ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga.
And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
27 Pea ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito hū ki ai ha meʻa ʻoku fakaʻuli, pe fai fakalielia, pe loi: ka ko kinautolu pe ʻoku tohi ʻi he tohi ʻoe moʻui ʻae Lami.
And there shall not enter it any thing unclean, or that does what is detestable, or that makes a lie: but those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
