< Saame 82 >
1 Ko e Saame ʻa ʻAsafi. ʻOku ʻafio ʻae ʻOtua ʻi he fakataha ʻoe kau mālohi; ʻoku ne fakamaau ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe ngaahi ʻotua.
A Psalm by Asaph. God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods.
2 “ʻE fēfē hono fuoloa mo hoʻomou fakamaau taʻetotonu, pea filifilimānako ki he kakai angahala?” (Sila)
“How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?” (Selah)
3 “Fakamaau ʻae paea mo e tamai mate: fai angatonu ki he mamahi mo e masiva.
“Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
4 Fakahaofi ʻae masiva mo e paea: fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu mei he nima ʻoe kau angahala.”
Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”
5 ʻOku ʻikai te nau ʻilo, pea ʻoku ʻikai te nau fie ʻilo; ʻoku nau ʻalu pē ʻi he poʻuli: kuo ueʻi ʻae ngaahi tuʻunga kotoa pē ʻo māmani.
They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 Naʻaku pehē, “Ko e ngaahi ʻotua ʻakimoutolu; pea ko e fānau ʻae Fungani Māʻolunga ʻakimoutolu kotoa pē.
I said, “You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High.
7 Ka temou mate ʻo hangē ko e kau tangata, pea tō ʻo hangē ko e tokotaha ʻoe houʻeiki.”
Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”
8 Tuʻu hake, ʻE ʻOtua, fakamaau ʻa māmani: he te ke maʻu ʻae puleʻanga kotoa pē.
Arise, God, judge the earth, for you inherit all of the nations.
