Saame 8
1 Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he Kitita, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. ʻE Sihova ko homau ʻEiki, ʻoku lelei lahi ho huafa ʻi māmani kotoa pē! Kuo ke fokotuʻu ho nāunau ʻi ʻolunga ʻi he ngaahi langi.
To the choirmaster on the Gittith a psalm of David. O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth [the one] who set! splendor your above the heavens.
2 Kuo ke tuʻutuʻuni mei he ngutu ʻoe kau valevale mo e kei huhu ʻae mālohi, ko e meʻa ʻi ho ngaahi fili, koeʻuhi ke ke pule ke fakalongo pē ʻae fili mo e fakafāsifasi.
From [the] mouth of children - and suckling-children you have established strength on account of opposers your to put an end to an enemy and an avenger.
3 ʻO kau ka fakakaukau ki ho ngaahi langi, ko e ngāue ʻo ho louhiʻi nima, ko e māhina mo e ngaahi fetuʻu, ʻaia naʻa ke fokotuʻu;
If I will see heavens your [the] works fingers your [the] moon and [the] stars which you have established.
4 Ko e hā ʻae tangata ʻoku ke tokanga ai kiate ia? Pe ko e foha ʻae tangata, ʻoku ke ʻaʻahi ai kiate ia?
What? [is] humankind that you will remember him and a son of humankind that you will pay attention to him.
5 He kuo ke ngaohi ia ke māʻulalo siʻi ʻi he ngaahi ʻāngelo, pea kuo ke tatāʻaki ia ʻae nāunau mo e ongoongolelei.
And you have made lack him little from God and honor and majesty you crown him.
6 Naʻa ke fakanofo ia ke ne pule ki he ngaahi ngāue ʻa ho nima; kuo ke tuku ʻae meʻa kotoa pē ki hono lalo vaʻe:
You make rule him over [the] works of hands your everything you have put under feet his.
7 ʻAe fanga sipi kotoa pē mo e fanga pulu, ʻio, mo e ngaahi manu ʻoe fonua;
Sheep and cattle all of them and also [the] animals of [the] field.
8 Ko e manupuna ʻoe ʻatā, mo e ika ʻoe tahi, mo e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku ʻalu ʻi he ngaahi ʻaluʻanga ʻi he tahi.
[the] bird[s] of [the] heavens And [the] fish of the sea [that which] passes through [the] paths of [the] seas.
9 ʻE Sihova ko homau ʻEiki, ʻoku lelei lahi ho huafa ʻi māmani kotoa pē!
O Yahweh lord our how! majestic [is] name your in all the earth.
