< Saame 77 >
1 Ki he Takimuʻa ko Situtuni, ko e Saame ʻa ʻAsafi. Naʻa ku tangi ki he ʻOtua ʻaki hoku leʻo; ʻio, ki he ʻOtua ʻaki hoku leʻo pea ne tokanga kiate au.
To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. I cried to God with my voice, [even] to God with my voice; and he gave ear to me.
2 ʻI he ʻaho ʻo ʻeku mamahi naʻaku kumi ki he ʻEiki: naʻe aʻu pe ʻeku mamahi ʻi he poʻuli, pea ʻikai tuku: naʻe liʻaki ʻe hoku laumālie ʻae fakafiemālie.
In the day of my trouble I sought the LORD: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.
3 Naʻaku manatu ki he ʻOtua, pea u mamahi ai: naʻaku fakalaulauloto, pea naʻe lōmekina hoku laumālie. (Sila)
I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. (Selah)
4 ʻOku ke pule ke ʻā hoku mata: ʻoku lahi ʻeku mamahi, ko ia ʻoku ʻikai ai te u faʻa lea.
Thou holdest my eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5 Naʻaku fakamanatu ki he ngaahi ʻaho ʻi muʻa, ki he ngaahi taʻu ʻi he ngaahi kuonga ʻi muʻa.
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 ʻOku ou fakamanatu, ki heʻeku hiva ʻi he poʻuli: ʻoku ou fakakaukau mo hoku loto: pea naʻe ʻeke lahi ʻa hoku laumālie.
I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with my own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.
7 “ʻE liʻaki maʻuaipē ʻe Sihova? Pea ʻe ʻikai te ne toe finangalo ʻofa mai?
Will the LORD cast off for ever? and will he be favorable no more?
8 Kuo mole ʻaupito ʻo taʻengata ʻa ʻene ʻaloʻofa? Pe kuo taʻehoko ʻene talaʻofa ki he toʻutangata mo e toʻutangata?
Is his mercy wholly gone for ever? doth [his] promise fail for evermore?
9 Kuo ngalo ʻi he ʻOtua ke fai ʻofa? Kuo ne tāpuni ʻi he houhau ʻa ʻene ngaahi ʻaloʻofa ongongofua?” (Sila)
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? (Selah)
10 Pea ne u pehē, “Ko ʻeku vaivai eni ka te u manatu ki he ngaahi taʻu ʻoe nima toʻomataʻu ʻoe Fungani Māʻolunga.”
And I said, This [is] my infirmity: [but I will remember] the years of the right hand of the Most High.
11 Te u manatu ki he ngaahi ngāue ʻa Sihova: ko e moʻoni te u manatu ki hoʻo ngaahi mana ʻi muʻa.
I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
12 Te u fakalaulauloto foki ki hoʻo ngāue kotoa pē, ʻo talanoa ki hoʻo ngaahi faianga.
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
13 ʻE ʻOtua, ko ho hala ʻoku ʻi he faletapu: ko hai ha ʻOtua ʻoku lahi ʻo hangē ko hotau ʻOtua!
Thy way, O God, [is] in the sanctuary: who [is so] great a God as [our] God!
14 Ko koe ko e ʻOtua ʻoku fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakaofo: kuo ke fakahā ho mālohi ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe kakai.
Thou [art] the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
15 Naʻa ke huhuʻi ʻaki ho nima ʻa ho kakai, ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Sēkope mo Siosefa. (Sila)
Thou hast with [thy] arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Naʻe mamata kiate koe ʻae ngaahi vai, ʻE ʻOtua, naʻe mamata kiate koe ʻae ngaahi vai; pea naʻa nau manavahē: naʻe ngaueue foki ʻae ngaahi loloto.
The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were disturbed.
17 Naʻe lilingi ʻae vai ʻe he ngaahi ʻao: naʻe fakaʻuʻulu mei he langi ʻae longoaʻa: pea naʻe puna foki hoʻo ngaahi ngahau ki he mamaʻo.
The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thy arrows also went abroad.
18 Naʻe ʻi he langi ʻae leʻo ʻo hoʻo mana: naʻe fakamaama ʻaki ʻa māmani ʻae ngaahi ʻuhila: naʻe tetetete mo ngalulu ʻae fonua.
The voice of thy thunder [was] in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.
19 Ko ho hala ʻoku ʻi he tahi, mo ho hāʻeleʻanga ʻoku ʻi he vai lahi, pea ʻoku ʻikai ʻilonga ʻa ho ngaahi ʻaluʻanga.
Thy way [is] in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
20 Naʻa ke tataki atu ho kakai ʻo hangē ko e fanga sipi ʻi he nima ʻo Mōsese mo ʻElone.
Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
