< Saame 76 >
1 Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he Nekina, ko e Saame pe ko e Hiva ʻa ʻAsafi. ʻOku ʻilo ʻae ʻOtua ʻi Siuta: ʻOku lahi hono huafa ʻi ʻIsileli.
Unto the end, in praises, a psalm for Asaph: a canticle to the Assyrians. In Judea God is known: his name is great in Israel.
2 ʻOku ʻi Selemi foki hono fale fehikitaki, mo hono ʻafioʻanga ʻi Saione.
And his place is in peace: and his abode in Sion:
3 Naʻe fesifesi ʻe ia ʻi ai ʻae ngaahi ngahau ʻoe kaufana, ʻae fakaū, mo e heletā, mo e tau. (Sila)
There hath he broken the powers of bows, the shield, the sword, and the battie.
4 ʻOku ke nāunauʻia mo lelei lahi hake ʻa koe ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻoe fakamālohi.
Thou enlightenest wonderfully from the everlasting hills.
5 Kuo ikuna ʻae kau loto mālohi, kuo nau mohe ʻi heʻenau mohe: pea ʻoku ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻi he kau tangata mālohi ʻoku ʻilo honau nima.
All the foolish of heart were troubled. They have slept their sleep; and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.
6 ʻE ʻOtua ʻo Sēkope, ʻi hoʻo tautea kuo ke lī fakatouʻosi pē ʻae saliote mo e hoosi ki he mohe ʻoe mate.
At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, they have all slumbered that mounted on horseback.
7 Ko koe, ʻio, ko koe, ko e manavahēʻia: pea ko hai ʻe faʻa tuʻu ʻi ho ʻao ʻoka ke ka houhau?
Thou art terrible, and who shall resist thee? from that time thy wrath.
8 Naʻa ke fakaongoʻi ʻae fakamaau mei he langi; naʻe manavahē ai ʻa māmani, ʻo tuʻu taʻengaue,
Thou hast caused judgment to be heard from heaven: the earth trembled and was still,
9 ʻI he tuʻu hake ʻae ʻOtua ki he fakamaau, ke fakamoʻui ʻae kau angavaivai kotoa pē ʻo māmani. (Sila)
When God arose in judgment, to save all the meek of the earth.
10 Ko e moʻoni ʻe fakaongolelei koe ʻe he ʻita ʻae tangata: pea ko hono toe ʻoe ʻita te ke lolomi.
For the thought of man shall give praise to thee: and the remainders of the thought shall keep holiday to thee.
11 Mou fuakava, ʻo fai ia kia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua: tuku ke ʻomi ʻae ngaahi meʻaʻofa kiate ia ʻoku totonu ke manavahē ki ai, ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku nofo ʻo takatakai ia.
Vow ye, and pay to the Lord your God: all you that are round about him bring presents. To him that is terrible,
12 ʻE motuhi ʻe ia ʻae loto lahi ʻoe houʻeiki: ʻoku fakailifia ia ki he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo māmani.
Even to him who taketh away the spirit of princes: to the terrible with the kings of the earth.
