< Saame 72 >

1 Ko e Saame maʻa Solomone. ‌ʻE ʻOtua, tuku ki he tuʻi ʻa hoʻo ngaahi fakamaau, mo hoʻo māʻoniʻoni ki he foha ʻoe tuʻi.
God, give your mishpat ·justice· to the King Messiah [Anointed one]; and your righteousness to the Son of David [Beloved] the King.
2 Te ne fakamaau hoʻo kakai ʻi he māʻoniʻoni, mo hoʻo kau masiva ʻaki ʻae fakamaau.
He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor afflicted ones with right judgments.
3 ‌ʻE ʻomi ʻe he ngaahi moʻunga ʻae melino ki he kakai, mo e māʻoniʻoni mei he ngaahi tafungofunga.
The mountains shall bring peace and prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
4 ‌ʻE fakamaau ʻe ia ʻae kakai mamahi, te ne fakamoʻui ʻae fānau ʻae masiva, pea te ne fesifesi ʻae fakamālohi.
He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.
5 Te nau manavahē kiate koe ʻi he lolotonga ʻae kei tuʻu ʻae laʻā, mo e māhina, ʻi he toʻutangata kotoa pē.
They shall fear you, the King Messiah [Anointed one], while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
6 ‌ʻE ʻalu hifo ia ʻo hangē ko e ʻuha ki he mohuku kuo tutuʻu: ʻo hangē ko e ʻuha tuʻu mo tō ʻoku fakaviviku ʻae fonua.
He will come down like rain on the cut grass of the earth, as showers that water the earth.
7 ‌ʻE tupu pē ʻae kau māʻoniʻoni ʻi hono ngaahi ʻaho; mo e melino lahi ʻaupito ʻi he kei tolonga ʻae māhina.
In his days, the upright shall be multiplied, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
8 ‌ʻE pule ʻe ia foki mei he tahi ki he tahi, pea mei he vaitafe ʻo aʻu ki he ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻo māmani.
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 ‌ʻE punou ʻi hono ʻao ʻakinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he toafa; pea ʻe ʻemo ʻae efu ʻe hono ngaahi fili.
Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.
10 ‌ʻE ʻomi ʻae ngaahi meʻaʻofa ʻe he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Tasisi pea mo e ngaahi motu: ʻe ʻatu ʻae ngaahi meʻa foaki ʻe he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Sipa mo Sepa.
The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 ‌ʻIo, ʻe punou ʻi hono ʻao ʻae ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē: ʻE tauhi ia ʻe he puleʻanga kotoa pē.
Yes, all kings shall hawa ·bow low, prostrate· before him. All nations shall serve him.
12 He te ne fakamoʻui ʻae masiva ʻi heʻene tangi; ʻae mamahi foki, mo ia ʻoku ʻikai hano tokoni.
For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.
13 Te ne fakamoʻui ʻae vaivai mo e masiva, ʻo fakamoʻui ʻae laumālie ʻoe kau masiva.
He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.
14 ‌ʻE huhuʻi ʻe ia honau laumālie mei he kākā mo e fakamālohi: pea ʻe mahuʻinga honau toto ʻi hono ʻao.
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.
15 Pea ʻe moʻui pe ia, pea ʻe foaki kiate ia ʻae koula ʻo Sipa: ʻE fai maʻuaipē ʻae lotu koeʻuhi ko ia; pea ʻe fakamālō kiate ia ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē,
They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long.
16 Pea ʻe ʻi ai ʻae falukunga ʻoe uite ʻi he fonua ʻi he tumutumu ʻoe ngaahi moʻunga, ʻe ngaueue hono fua ʻo ia ʻo hangē ko Lepanoni: pea ko kinautolu ʻi he kolo ʻe tupu pe ʻo hangē ko e mohuku ʻoe fonua.
There shall be an abundance of corn throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field outside the city.
17 ‌ʻE tuʻumaʻu hono huafa ʻo taʻengata, ʻe tolonga maʻuaipē hono huafa ʻo hangē ko e laʻā: pea ʻe monūʻia ʻae kakai ʻiate ia: ʻe ui ia ko e monūʻia ʻe he puleʻanga kotoa pē.
His name endures forever. His name existed before the creation of the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
18 Fakafetaʻi kia Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻaia tokotaha pe ʻoku fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakaofo.
Praise be to Adonai God, the God of Israel [God prevails], who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Pea fakafetaʻi maʻuaipē ki hono huafa ongoongolelei ʻo taʻengata: pea tuku ke pito ʻa māmani kotoa pē ʻi hono nāunau; ʻEmeni, mo ʻEmeni.
Blessed be his kavod ·weighty glorious· name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his kavod ·weighty glory·! Amen v'Amen ·So be it and So be it·.
20 Kuo ngata ʻae ngaahi lotu ʻa Tevita ko e foha ʻo Sese.
This ends the prayers by David [Beloved], the son of Jesse [My husband].
