< Saame 65 >
1 Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame mo e Hiva ʻa Tevita. ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoku tatali ʻae fakamālō kiate koe ʻi Saione: pea ʻe fai kiate koe ʻae fuakava.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm. A Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
2 ʻA koe ʻoku ke ongoʻi ʻae lotu, ʻe aʻu atu kiate koe ʻae kakai kotoa pē.
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
3 ʻOku mālohi kiate au ʻae ngaahi hia: pea ko ʻemau ngaahi talangataʻa te ke fakamaʻa ia ke ʻosi.
Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
4 ʻOku monūʻia ia ʻaia ʻoku ke fili, mo ke fakaofi ia kiate koe, koeʻuhi ke ne nofo ʻi ho lotoʻā: temau fiemālie ʻi he lelei ʻo ho fale, ʻio, ʻo ho faletapu māʻoniʻoni.
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach [unto thee], that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, the holy place of thy temple.
5 ʻE ʻOtua ko homau fakamoʻui, te ke talia ʻakimautolu ʻi he ngaahi meʻa fakamanavahē ʻi he māʻoniʻoni; ʻa koe ko e ʻamanaki leleiʻanga ʻoe ngaahi ngataʻanga kotoa pē ʻo māmani, pea mo kinautolu ʻoku mamaʻo atu ʻi he tahi:
By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation; thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
6 ʻAia ʻoku ne fokotuʻumaʻu ʻae ngaahi moʻunga ʻi hono mālohi; kuo nonoʻo ʻaki ʻae māfimafi:
Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded about with might:
7 ʻAia ʻoku ne lolomi ʻae longoaʻa ʻoe ngaahi tahi, ko e longoaʻa ʻoe ngaahi peau, mo e maveuveu ʻoe kakai.
Which stilleth the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.
8 Pea ʻoku manavahē ʻi ho ngaahi fakaʻilonga ʻakinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he ngaahi potu mamaʻo: ʻoku ke fakafiefiaʻi ʻae ngaahi ʻaluʻanga ʻoe pongipongi mo e efiafi.
They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
9 ʻOku ke ʻaʻahi ki he fonua, ʻo fakaviviku ia: ʻoku ke fakakoloa lahi ʻaki ia ʻae vaitafe ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku pito ʻi he vai: ʻoku ke teuʻi ʻenau meʻakai, hili hoʻo tokonaki pehē ki ai.
Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, thou greatly enrichest it; the river of God is full of water: thou providest them corn, when thou hast so prepared the earth.
10 ʻOku ke fakaviviku lahi hono tafungofunga ʻo ia: ʻoku ke pule ke tō ʻae ʻuha ki hono ngaahi keli: ʻoku ke fakamolū ʻaki ia ʻae ʻuha tuʻu mo tō: ʻoku ke tāpuaki hono tupu ʻo ia.
Thou waterest her furrows abundantly; thou settlest the ridges thereof: thou makest it soft with showers; thou blessest the springing thereof.
11 ʻOku ke tatā ʻaki ʻae taʻu ʻa hoʻo angalelei; pea ʻoku ngangana mei ho ngaahi hala ʻae momona.
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
12 ʻOku ngangana ia ki he ngaahi potu mohuku ʻoe toafa: pea fiefia ʻae ngaahi tafungofunga ʻi he potu kotoa pē.
They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the hills are girded with joy.
13 Kuo fakakofuʻaki ʻae fanga sipi ʻae ngaahi potu mohuku; pea kuo ʻufiʻufi foki ʻae ngaahi luo ʻaki ʻae uite; ʻoku nau kalanga ʻi he fiefia, ʻoku nau hiva foki.
The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
