< Saame 65 >

1 Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame mo e Hiva ʻa Tevita. ‌ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoku tatali ʻae fakamālō kiate koe ʻi Saione: pea ʻe fai kiate koe ʻae fuakava.
Unto the end. A Psalm of David. A Canticle of Jeremiah and Ezekiel to the people of the captivity, when they began to go into exile. O God, a hymn adorns you in Zion, and a vow will be repaid to you in Jerusalem.
2 ‌ʻA koe ʻoku ke ongoʻi ʻae lotu, ʻe aʻu atu kiate koe ʻae kakai kotoa pē.
Hear my prayer: all flesh will come to you.
3 ‌ʻOku mālohi kiate au ʻae ngaahi hia: pea ko ʻemau ngaahi talangataʻa te ke fakamaʻa ia ke ʻosi.
Words of iniquity have prevailed over us. And you will pardon our impieties.
4 ‌ʻOku monūʻia ia ʻaia ʻoku ke fili, mo ke fakaofi ia kiate koe, koeʻuhi ke ne nofo ʻi ho lotoʻā: temau fiemālie ʻi he lelei ʻo ho fale, ʻio, ʻo ho faletapu māʻoniʻoni.
Blessed is he whom you have chosen and taken up. He will dwell in your courts. We will be filled with the good things of your house. Holy is your temple:
5 ‌ʻE ʻOtua ko homau fakamoʻui, te ke talia ʻakimautolu ʻi he ngaahi meʻa fakamanavahē ʻi he māʻoniʻoni; ʻa koe ko e ʻamanaki leleiʻanga ʻoe ngaahi ngataʻanga kotoa pē ʻo māmani, pea mo kinautolu ʻoku mamaʻo atu ʻi he tahi:
wonderful in equity. Hear us, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of a sea far away.
6 ‌ʻAia ʻoku ne fokotuʻumaʻu ʻae ngaahi moʻunga ʻi hono mālohi; kuo nonoʻo ʻaki ʻae māfimafi:
You prepare the mountains in your virtue, wrapped with power.
7 ‌ʻAia ʻoku ne lolomi ʻae longoaʻa ʻoe ngaahi tahi, ko e longoaʻa ʻoe ngaahi peau, mo e maveuveu ʻoe kakai.
You stir up the depths of the sea, the noise of its waves. The nations will be troubled,
8 Pea ʻoku manavahē ʻi ho ngaahi fakaʻilonga ʻakinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he ngaahi potu mamaʻo: ʻoku ke fakafiefiaʻi ʻae ngaahi ʻaluʻanga ʻoe pongipongi mo e efiafi.
and those who dwell at the limits will be afraid, before your signs. You will make the passing of morning and evening enjoyable.
9 ‌ʻOku ke ʻaʻahi ki he fonua, ʻo fakaviviku ia: ʻoku ke fakakoloa lahi ʻaki ia ʻae vaitafe ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku pito ʻi he vai: ʻoku ke teuʻi ʻenau meʻakai, hili hoʻo tokonaki pehē ki ai.
You have visited the earth, and you have saturated it. You have enriched it in so many ways. The river of God has been filled with water. You have prepared their food. For thus is its preparation.
10 ‌ʻOku ke fakaviviku lahi hono tafungofunga ʻo ia: ʻoku ke pule ke tō ʻae ʻuha ki hono ngaahi keli: ʻoku ke fakamolū ʻaki ia ʻae ʻuha tuʻu mo tō: ʻoku ke tāpuaki hono tupu ʻo ia.
Drench its streams, multiply its fruits; it will spring up and rejoice in its showers.
11 ‌ʻOku ke tatā ʻaki ʻae taʻu ʻa hoʻo angalelei; pea ʻoku ngangana mei ho ngaahi hala ʻae momona.
You will bless the crown of the year with your kindness, and your fields will be filled with abundance.
12 ‌ʻOku ngangana ia ki he ngaahi potu mohuku ʻoe toafa: pea fiefia ʻae ngaahi tafungofunga ʻi he potu kotoa pē.
The beauty of the desert will fatten, and the hills will be wrapped with exultation.
13 Kuo fakakofuʻaki ʻae fanga sipi ʻae ngaahi potu mohuku; pea kuo ʻufiʻufi foki ʻae ngaahi luo ʻaki ʻae uite; ʻoku nau kalanga ʻi he fiefia, ʻoku nau hiva foki.
The rams of the sheep have been clothed, and the valleys will abound with grain. They will cry out; yes, they will even utter a hymn.
