< Saame 45 >
1 Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he Sosanimi, ko e akonaki ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kola, ko e Hiva ki he ngaahi ʻofa. ʻOku mapuna hake ʻi hoku loto ʻae meʻa lelei: te u lea ki he meʻa kuo u ngaohi ki he tuʻi: ko hoku ʻelelo ko e peni ki he tohi vave.
To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made concerning the king: my tongue [is] the pen of a ready writer.
2 ʻOku ke fakaʻofoʻofa lahi ʻi he ngaahi fānau ʻae tangata: kuo lilingi ʻae ʻofa ki ho loungutu: ko ia kuo fakamonūʻia ai koe ʻe he ʻOtua ʻo lauikuonga.
Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3 ʻE Fungani Māfimafi ke ke nonoʻo hoʻo heletā ki ho tuʻatenga, ʻi ho nāunau mo ho mālohi.
Gird thy sword upon [thy] thigh, O [most] mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 Pea ʻi hoʻo māfimafi ke ke hāʻele monūʻia, ko e meʻa ʻi he moʻoni mo e angavaivai mo e māʻoniʻoni; pea ʻe ako kiate koe ʻe ho nima toʻomataʻu ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakailifia.
And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness [and] righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 ʻOku māsila hoʻo ngaahi ngahau ʻi he loto ʻoe ngaahi fili ʻoe tuʻi; ʻoku tō ki lalo ʻae kakai ʻiate koe.
Thy arrows [are] sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; [by which] the people fall under thee.
6 ʻE ʻOtua, ko ho nofoʻanga ʻoku lauikuonga pea taʻengata: ko e tokotoko ʻo ho puleʻanga ko e tokotoko māʻoniʻoni ia.
Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: the scepter of thy kingdom [is] a scepter of justice.
7 ʻOku ke ʻofa ki he māʻoniʻoni, pea fehiʻa ki he angahala: ko ia ko e ʻOtua ko ho ʻOtua, kuo ne tākai ʻaki koe ʻae lolo ʻoe fiefia ʻo lahi hake ʻi ho kāinga.
Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 ʻOku namu mula, mo ʻalosi, mo kāsia, ʻa ho ngaahi kofu kotoa pē, mei he ngaahi fale lei, ʻaia kuo nau fakafiefiaʻi koe.
All thy garments [smell] of myrrh, and aloes, [and] cassia, out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made thee glad.
9 Naʻe ʻi hoʻo kau fefine ongolelei ʻae ngaahi ʻofefine ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi: naʻe tuʻu ʻae tuʻi fefine ʻi ho nima toʻomataʻu ʻi he koula mei Ofeli.
Kings daughters [were] among thy honorable women: upon thy right hand stood the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Fakafanongo, ʻE ʻofefine, pea tokanga, ʻo fakatokangaʻi ho telinga; fakangaloʻi foki hoʻo kakai ʻaʻau, mo e fale ʻo hoʻo tamai;
Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thy ear; forget also thy own people, and thy father's house;
11 Ko ia ʻe manako lahi ai ʻae tuʻi ki ho hoihoifua: he ko ho ʻEiki ia; pea ke hū kiate ia.
So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he [is] thy lord; and worship thou him.
12 Pea ʻe ʻi ai ʻae ʻofefine ʻo Taia mo e meʻaʻofa; ko e kau koloaʻia ʻi he kakai te nau kumi lahi ki hoʻo ʻofa.
And the daughter of Tyre [shall be there] with a gift; [even] the rich among the people shall entreat thy favor.
13 Ko e ʻofefine ʻoe tuʻi ʻoku lelei lahi ʻi loto; ko hono ngaahi kofu kuo lalanga ʻaki ʻae koula.
The king's daughter [is] all glorious within: her clothing [is] of wrought gold.
14 ʻE ʻomi ia ki he tuʻi ʻi he kofu ʻoku matamatalelei hono tuitui: ko e kau tāupoʻou ko hono kaumeʻa ʻaia ʻoku muimui kiate ia ʻe omi ʻakinautolu kiate koe.
She shall be brought to the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought to thee.
15 ʻE omi ʻakinautolu ʻi he fiefia mo e nekeneka: te nau hū ki he fale ʻoe tuʻi.
With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
16 ʻE fetongi hoʻo ngaahi tamai ʻe hoʻo fānau, ʻaia te ke fakanofo ko e ngaahi ʻeiki ʻi māmani kotoa pē.
Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
17 Te u fai ke manatuʻi ʻa ho huafa ʻi he toʻutangata kotoa pē: ko ia ʻe fakafetaʻi ʻae kakai kiate koe ʻo lauikuonga pea taʻengata.
I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
