< Saame 34 >
1 Ko e Saame ʻa Tevita, ʻi heʻene liliu ʻene tōʻonga ʻi he ʻao ʻo ʻApimeleki; ʻaia naʻa ne kapusi ia, pea ʻalu ia ʻo hao. Te u fakafetaʻi kia Sihova ʻi he kuonga kotoa pē: ʻe tuʻumaʻu pe ʻene fakafetaʻi ʻi hoku ngutu.
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 ʻE vikiviki hoku laumālie ʻia Sihova: ʻe fanongo ki ai ʻae kakai angavaivai, pea fiefia ai.
My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 Ketau fai mo au ke hapai hake ʻa Sihova, pea ketau fakaongoongolelei fakataha hono huafa.
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Naʻaku kumi kia Sihova, pea ne ongoʻi au, ʻo ne fakamoʻui au mei heʻeku manavahē kotoa pē.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Naʻa nau vakai kiate ia, pea māmangia ai: pea naʻe ʻikai mā ai honau mata.
They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 Naʻe tangi ʻae tangata masiva ni, pea naʻe ongoʻi ia ʻe Sihova, ʻo ne fakamoʻui ia mei heʻene mamahi kotoa pē.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 ʻOku nofo ʻae ʻāngelo ʻa Sihova ʻo takatakai ʻakinautolu ʻoku manavahē kiate ia, ʻo ne fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu.
The angel of the LORD camps round about them that fear him, and delivers them.
8 Mou kamata ʻo vakai ʻoku lelei ʻa Sihova: ʻoku monūʻia ʻae tangata ko ia ʻoku falala kiate ia.
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.
9 Ke manavahē kia Sihova, ʻakimoutolu ko ʻene kau māʻoniʻoni: he ʻoku ʻikai ha masiva kiate kinautolu ʻoku manavahē kiate ia.
O fear the LORD, all of you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him.
10 ʻOku masiva ʻae fanga laione mui, mo fiekaia: ka ko kinautolu ʻoku kumi kia Sihova ʻe ʻikai te nau masiva ʻi ha meʻa lelei ʻe taha.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
11 Haʻu, ʻakimoutolu ko e fānau, ʻo fanongo kiate au: te u ako kiate kimoutolu ʻae manavahē kia Sihova.
Come, all of you children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 Ko hai ha tangata ʻoku holi ke moʻui, ʻo manako ki he ngaahi ʻaho lahi, koeʻuhi ke ne mamata ai ki he lelei?
What man is he that desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Taʻofi ho ʻelelo mei he kovi, mo ho loungutu mei he lea kākā.
Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
14 Afe mei he kovi, mo ke fai lelei; kumi ki he melino, pea tuli ki ai.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 ʻOku ʻafio maʻu ʻae fofonga ʻo Sihova ki he kakai māʻoniʻoni, pea ʻoku ongoʻi ʻe hono telinga ʻenau tangi.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 ʻOku houhau ʻae fofonga ʻo Sihova kiate kinautolu ʻoku fai kovi, ke motuhi honau fakamanatuʻi mei māmani.
The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 ʻOku tangi ʻae māʻoniʻoni, pea ongoʻi ʻe Sihova, ʻo ne fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu mei heʻenau ngaahi mamahi kotoa pē.
The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 ʻOku ofi ʻa Sihova kiate kinautolu ʻoku loto mafesi; ʻoku ne fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu ʻoku laumālie mafōfoa.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 ʻOku lahi ʻae ngaahi mamahi ʻoe māʻoniʻoni: ka ʻoku fakamoʻui ia mei ai kotoa pē ʻe Sihova.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.
20 ʻOku ne tauhi hono ngaahi hui kotoa pē: ʻe ʻikai mafesi ha taha.
He keeps all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21 ʻE fakapoongi ʻe he kovi ʻae kau angahala: pea ko kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa ki he kau māʻoniʻoni te nau malaʻia.
Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 ʻOku huhuʻi ʻe Sihova ʻae laumālie ʻo ʻene kau tamaioʻeiki: pea ʻe ʻikai malaʻia ha tokotaha ʻokinautolu ʻoku falala kiate ia.
The LORD redeems the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
