1 Ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. Tuku kia Sihova, ʻekimoutolu ko e ngaahi foha ʻoe mālohi, tuku kia Sihova ʻae nāunau mo e māfimafi.
You angels in heaven, praise Yahweh! Praise him because he is very glorious and powerful.
2 Tuku kia Sihova ʻae fakaʻapaʻapa ʻoku taau mo hono huafa; hū kia Sihova ʻi he teunga matamatalelei ʻoe māʻoniʻoni.
Proclaim that (he/his name) is glorious; bow down before Yahweh in his holy [temple].
3 Ko e leʻo ʻo Sihova ʻoku ʻi ʻolunga ʻi he ngaahi vai: ʻoku mana ʻe he ʻOtua ʻoe nāunau: ʻoku ʻi ʻolunga ʻi he ngaahi vai lahi ʻa Sihova.
Yahweh’s voice is heard above the oceans; Yahweh, the glorious God, thunders. His voice thunders over the huge oceans [DOU].
4 Ko e leʻo ʻo Sihova ʻoku fonu ʻi he mālohi; ʻoku fonu ʻae leʻo ʻo Sihova ʻi he nāunau.
His voice is powerful and majestic.
5 ‌ʻOku fesiʻi ʻe he leʻo ʻo Sihova ʻae ngaahi sita. ʻio, ʻoku fesiʻi ʻe Sihova ʻae ngaahi sita ʻo Lepanoni.
The sound of Yahweh’s voice breaks great cedar trees, the cedars that grow in Lebanon.
6 ‌ʻOku ngaohi ʻe ia ke nau hopohopo ʻo hangē ko e ʻuhikiʻi pulu; ʻa Lepanoni mo Silione ʻo hangē ko e ʻuhikiʻi liimi.
He causes [the mountains in] Lebanon to jump like calves jump, and causes Hermon [Mountain] to jump like a young bull jumps.
7 ‌ʻOku vahevahe ʻe he leʻo ʻo Sihova ʻae ngaahi ulo ʻoe afi.
Yahweh’s voice causes lightning to flash.
8 ‌ʻOku lulu ʻe he leʻo ʻo Sihova ʻae toafa; ʻoku lulululu ʻe Sihova ʻae toafa ʻo Ketesi.
His voice causes the desert to shake; he shakes Kadesh Desert [in the southern part of Judah].
9 ‌ʻOku fakafanauʻi ʻe he leʻo ʻo Sihova ʻae fanga hainiti, pea ne fakahā ʻae ngaahi vao ʻakau: pea ʻi hono faletapu ʻoku lea taki taha kotoa pē ki hono nāunau.
Yahweh’s voice shakes the huge oak trees and strips the leaves from the trees while the people in the temple shout, “Praise [God]!”
10 ‌ʻOku nofo ʻa Sihova ki he vai lahi; ʻio, ʻoku nofo ʻa Sihova ko e Tuʻi ʻo taʻengata.
Yahweh ruled over the flood [that covered the earth]; he is our King who will rule forever.
11 ‌ʻE foaki ʻe Sihova ʻae mālohi ki hono kakai; ʻe tāpuaki ʻe Sihova ʻa hono kakai ʻaki ʻae melino.
Yahweh enables his people to be strong, and he blesses them by causing things to go well for them.
