< Saame 24 >
1 Ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. ʻOku ʻo Sihova ʻae fonua kotoa pē, mo hono mahu ʻo ia; ʻa māmani, mo kinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi ai.
“Of David a psalm.” Unto the Lord belongeth the earth with what filleth it, the world and they that dwell therein;
2 He kuo ne fokotuʻu ia ki he ngaahi tahi, mo fakatuʻumaʻu ia ki he ngaahi vai lahi.
For upon seas hath he founded it, and upon rivers hath he established it.
3 Ko hai ʻe ʻalu hake ki he moʻunga ʻo Sihova? Pe ko hai ʻe tuʻu ʻi hono potu māʻoniʻoni?
Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? and who shall be able to stand in his holy place?
4 Ko ia ʻoku nima maʻa, mo loto māʻoniʻoni; ʻaia naʻe ʻikai te ne hiki hono laumālie ki he meʻa vaʻinga, pe fuakava ʻi he kākā.
He that is of clean hands, and pure of heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, and hath not sworn deceitfully:
5 Te ne maʻu ʻe ia ʻae tāpuaki meia Sihova, mo e māʻoniʻoni mei he ʻOtua ʻo ʻene moʻui.
He shall bear away blessing from the Lord, and [the reward of] righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 Ko e toʻutangata eni ʻokinautolu ʻoku kumi kiate ia, ʻakinautolu ʻoku kumi ki ho fofonga, ʻE ʻOtua ʻo Sēkope. (Sila)
This is the generation of those that adore him, that seek thy presence, [the sons of] Jacob. (Selah)
7 Hiki hake homou ʻulu, ʻae ngaahi matapā; pea ke hiki ke māʻolunga, ʻakimoutolu ʻae ngaahi matapā taʻengata; pea ʻe hāʻele mai ʻae Tuʻi ʻoe nāunau.
Raise your heads, O ye gates; and be raised wide, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!
8 Ko hai ʻae Tuʻi ni ʻoe nāunau? Ko Sihova ʻoku mālohi mo māfimafi, ko Sihova ʻoku mālohi ʻi he tau.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Hiki hake homou ʻulu, ʻae ngaahi matapā; ʻio, hiki ki ʻolunga, ʻae ngaahi matapā taʻengata; pea ʻe hāʻele mai ʻae Tuʻi ʻoe nāunau.
Raise your heads, O ye gates; and raise [them] up, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!
10 Ko hai ʻae Tuʻi ni ʻoe nāunau? Ko Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko ia ia ko e Tuʻi ʻoe nāunau. (Sila)
Who is then this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)
