1 Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he ʻAilete-Sahala, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. ‌ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ko e hā kuo ke liʻaki ai au? Ko e hā ʻoku ke mamaʻo ai mei he tokoni kiate au, pea mei he ngaahi lea ʻo ʻeku tangi?

O God my I call out by day and not you answer and night and not repose [belongs] to me.
3 Ka ʻoku ke māʻoniʻoni, ʻa koe ʻoku ke maʻu ʻae ngaahi fakafetaʻi ʻo ʻIsileli.
And you [are] holy sitting [the] praises of Israel.
4 Naʻe falala ʻa ʻemau ngaahi tamai kiate koe: naʻa nau falala, pea naʻa ke fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu.
In you they trusted ancestors our they trusted and you delivered them.
5 Naʻa nau tangi kiate koe, pea naʻe fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu: naʻa nau falala kiate koe, pea naʻe ʻikai te nau mā.
To you they cried out and they were delivered in you they trusted and not they were ashamed.
6 Ka ko e kelemutu au, ka ʻoku ʻikai ko e tangata: ko e manukiʻanga ʻoe tangata, ko e fehiʻanekina ʻe he kakai.
And I [am] a worm and not a man a reproach of humankind and despised of a people.
7 Ko kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku mamata kiate au ʻoku nau kata manuki kiate au: ʻoku nau fakalili honau ngutu, mo kalokalo ʻae ʻulu, mo nau pehē,
All [those who] see me they mock me they make a separation with a lip they shake a head.
8 “Naʻa ne falala kia Sihova ke ne fakamoʻui ia: tuku ke ne fakamoʻui ia, he naʻa ne fiemālie ʻiate ia.”
Roll to Yahweh let him rescue him let him deliver him for he delights in him.
9 Ka ko koe ia naʻe toʻo au mei he manāva ʻo ʻeku faʻē: naʻa ke fakaʻamanakiʻi au ʻi heʻeku kei ʻi he huhu ʻo ʻeku faʻē.

16 He kuo kāpui au ʻe he fanga kulī: kuo ʻāʻi au ʻe he fakataha ʻoe ngaahi angakovi: naʻa nau hokaʻi hoku nima mo hoku vaʻe.

For not he has despised and not he has detested [the] affliction of an afflicted [person] and not he has hidden face his from him and when cried for help he to him he heard.
