Saame 20

1 Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. Ke ongoʻi koe ʻe Sihova ʻi he ʻaho ʻoe mamahi; ke maluʻi koe ʻe he huafa ʻoe ʻOtua ʻo Sēkope;

To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;

2 ‌ʻO fekau hoʻo tokoni mei he faletapu, mo fakamālohi koe mei Saione;

May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

3 ‌ʻO manatuʻi hoʻo meʻa foaki kotoa pē, pea finangalo lelei ki hoʻo feilaulau tutu; (Sila)

Remember all thine oblations, and accept thy burnt-offering; (Selah)

4 Pea foaki kiate koe ʻo hangē ko ho loto, ʻo fakahoko ʻaia ʻoku ke fakakaukau ki ai.

Grant thee according to thy heart, and fulfil all thy counsels.

5 Te mau fiefia ʻi hoʻo fakamoʻui, pea ʻi he huafa ʻo homau ʻOtua te mau fokotuʻu ʻemau ngaahi fuka: ke tuku kiate koe ʻe Sihova ʻa hoʻo ngaahi kole kotoa pē.

We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we set up our banners. Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions!

6 Pea ko eni, ʻoku ou ʻilo ʻoku fakamoʻui ʻe Sihova ʻa ʻene pani; te ne ongoʻi ia mei hono potu toputapu māʻoniʻoni ʻaki ʻae mālohi fakamoʻui ʻo hono nima toʻomataʻu.

Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; he answereth him from the heavens of his holiness, with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 ‌ʻOku falala ʻae niʻihi ki he ngaahi saliote, mo e niʻihi ki he fanga hoosi: ka te tau manatuʻi ʻae huafa ʻo Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua.

Some make mention of chariots, and some of horses, but we of the name of Jehovah our God.

8 Kuo lī ki lalo ʻo tō ʻakinautolu: ka kuo tau tuʻuhake, ʻo tuʻu ki ʻolunga.

They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen and stand upright.

9 ‌ʻE Sihova, ke ke fakamoʻui ʻae tuʻi ke ke ongoʻi ʻakimautolu ʻi heʻemau ui atu.

Save, Jehovah! Let the king answer us in the day we call.
