< Saame 147 >

1 Mou fakamālō kia Sihova: he ʻoku lelei ke hiva fakamālō ki hotau ʻOtua; he ʻoku mālie ia; pea ʻoku ngali ʻae fakamālō.
Praise ye Yah, For it is good, to make melody to our GOD, —For it is delightful, seemly is praise!
2 ‌ʻOku langa hake ʻe Sihova ʻa Selūsalema: ʻoku ne tānaki fakataha ʻae kau ʻIsileli naʻe fakahēʻi
Yahweh, is building Jerusalem, The outcasts of Israel, will he gather together.
3 ‌ʻOku ne fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu ʻoku loto mafesi, ʻo ne nonoʻo honau ngaahi lavea.
He is healing the broken in heart, —and binding up their hurts.
4 ‌ʻOku ne tala hono lau ʻoe ngaahi fetuʻu; ʻoku ne ui ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻi honau ngaahi hingoa.
Counting the number of the stars, To all of them—names, he giveth.
5 Ko hotau ʻEiki ʻoku lahi ia, pea lahi hono mālohi: ko ʻene ʻilo ʻoku taʻengata.
Great is our Lord, and of abounding strength, And, his knowledge, cannot be expressed.
6 ‌ʻOku hiki hake ʻe Sihova ʻae angamalū: ʻoku lī ʻe ia ʻae angahala ki he kelekele.
Yahweh, relieveth the humbled! casting the lawless down to the earth.
7 Hiva kia Sihova ʻaki ʻae fakafetaʻi; hiva fakamālō ʻi he haʻape ki hotau ʻOtua:
Respond to Yahweh with thanksgiving, Make melody to our God with the lyre.
8 ‌ʻAia ʻoku ne ʻufiʻufi ʻaki ʻae langi ʻae ngaahi ʻao, ʻoku ne teuteu ʻae ʻuha ki he kelekele, mo ne fakatupu ʻae mohuku ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga.
Who covereth the heavens with clouds, preparing rain for the earth, who causeth the mountains to sprout grass:
9 ‌ʻOku ne foaki ki he manu ʻene meʻakai, pea ki he fanga leveni iiki ʻaia ʻoku tangi.
Giving, to the beast, its food, to the young ravens, when they cry.
10 ‌ʻOku ʻikai fiefia ia ʻi he mālohi ʻoe hoosi: ʻoku ʻikai fiefia ia ʻi he kau vaʻe ʻoe tangata.
Not in the strength of the horse, doth he delight, Not in the legs of a man, hath he pleasure:
11 ‌ʻOku fiefia ʻa Sihova ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku nau manavahē kiate ia, ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku nau ʻamanaki ki heʻene ʻaloʻofa.
Yahweh, hath pleasure, in them who revere him, in them who wait for his lovingkindness.
12 Fakamālō kia Sihova, ʻE Selūsalema; fakamālō ki ho ʻOtua, ʻE Saione.
Laud thou, O Jerusalem, Yahweh, Praise thy God, O Zion:
13 He kuo ne fakamālohi ʻae ngaahi songo ʻo ho ngaahi matapā; kuo ne tāpuakiʻi hoʻo fānau ʻi loto ʻiate koe.
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates, He hath blessed thy children in thy midst:
14 ‌ʻOku fakatupu ʻe ia ʻae melino ʻi ho ngaahi potu, pea ʻoku ne fakamahu ʻaki koe ʻae uite ʻoku fungani lelei.
Who maketh thy boundaries to be peace, With the marrow of wheat, doth he satisfy thee:
15 ‌ʻOku ne tuku atu ʻene fekau ki māmani: ʻoku vave ʻaupito ʻae lele atu ʻo ʻene folofola,
Who sendeth his utterance to the earth, How swiftly, runneth his word!
16 ‌ʻOku ne foaki ʻae ʻuha hinehina ʻo hangē ko e fulufuluʻi sipi: ʻoku ne tūtuuʻi ʻae hahau kuo fefeka ʻo hangē ko e efuefu.
Who giveth snow like wool, Hoar-frost—like ashes, he scattereth:
17 ‌ʻOku ne laku atu ʻae ʻuha maka ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi momoʻi meʻa siʻi: ko hai ʻe faʻa kātaki hono momoko?
Casting forth his ice like crumbs, Before his cold, who can stand?
18 ‌ʻOku ne fekau atu ʻene folofola, pea ʻoku vai ai ia: ʻoku ne pule ke angi ʻene matangi, pea ʻoku tafe atu ʻae ngaahi vai.
He sendeth forth his word and melteth them, He causeth his wind to blow, the waters, stream along:
19 ‌ʻOku ne fakahā ʻene folofola kia Sēkope, ʻa ʻene ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni mo ʻene ngaahi fakamaau ki ʻIsileli.
Declaring his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his regulations, unto Israel.
20 Naʻe ʻikai te ne fai pehē ki ha puleʻanga ʻe taha: pea ko ʻene ngaahi fakamaau, naʻe ʻikai tenau ʻilo ki ai. Mou fakamālō kia Sihova.
He hath not dealt so with any nation, and, his regulations, he maketh not known to them. Praise ye Yah!
