1 Ko e Saame ʻoe fakamālō ʻa Tevita. Te u fakahikihiki koe, ko hoku ʻOtua, ko e tuʻi; pea te u fakafetaʻi ki ho huafa ʻo lauikuonga pea taʻengata.
My God and King, I will proclaim that you are very great/glorious; I will praise you [MTY] now and forever.
2 Te u fakafetaʻi kiate koe ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē; pea te u fakamālō ki ho huafa ʻo lauikuonga pea taʻengata.
Every day I will praise you; [Yes], I will praise you [MTY] forever.
3 ‌ʻOku lahi ʻa Sihova, pea ʻoku ngali ke faʻa fakamālō kiate ia; pea ko hono lahi ʻoku taʻefaʻaʻiloʻi.
Yahweh you are great, and (you ought to be praised/people should praise you) very much; [we] cannot fully realize how great you are.
4 ‌ʻE fakamālō ʻae toʻutangata ʻe taha ki hoʻo ngaahi ngāue ʻo aʻu ki he taha, pea tenau fakahā hoʻo ngaahi ngāue lahi.
Parents should tell their children the things that you have done; they should tell their children about your mighty deeds.
5 Te u lea ki hono ongoongolelei lahi ʻo hoʻo ʻafio, pea mo hoʻo ngaahi ngāue fakaofo.
They should tell them that you are very glorious and majestic [DOU], and I will (meditate on/think about) [all] your wonderful deeds.
6 Pea ʻe lea [ʻae ]kakai ki hono mālohi ʻo hoʻo ngaahi ngāue fakailifia: pea te u fakahā hoʻo māfimafi.
People will speak about your powerful and awesome deeds, and I will proclaim that you are [very] great.
7 Tenau faʻa fakahā ʻae fakamanatu ʻo hoʻo ʻulungāanga lelei lahi, pea tenau hiva ʻaki hoʻo māʻoniʻoni.
People will remember and proclaim that you are very good [to us], and they will sing joyfully that you [always act] justly/fairly.
8 ‌ʻOku angalelei ʻa Sihova, pea fonu ʻi he manavaʻofa; ʻoku tōʻohi hono houhau, pea ʻoku lahi ʻa ʻene ʻaloʻofa.
Yahweh, you [are] kind and merciful [to us]; you do not quickly become angry; you faithfully love [us] very much.
9 ‌ʻOku angalelei ʻa Sihova ki he kakai kotoa pē: pea ʻoku kāpui ʻene ngāue kotoa pē ʻe heʻene ngaahi ʻaloʻofa ongongofua.
Yahweh, you are good to everyone, and you are merciful to everything that you have made.
10 ‌ʻE Sihova, ʻe fakamālō kiate koe ʻa hoʻo ngaahi ngāue kotoa pē; pea ʻe fakafetaʻi kiate koe ʻa hoʻo kakai māʻoniʻoni.
Yahweh, [all] the creatures that you [made] will thank you, and all your people will praise you.
11 Tenau lea ki he nāunau ʻo ho puleʻanga, pea talanoa ki hoʻo māfimafi;
They will tell [others] that you rule gloriously as [our] king and that you are [very] powerful.
12 Ke fakaʻilo ki he ngaahi foha ʻoe tangata ʻene ngaahi ngāue lahi, pea mo e ongoongolelei lahi ʻo hono puleʻanga.
[They will do that] in order that everyone will know about your powerful deeds and that you rule [over us] gloriously.
13 Ko ho puleʻanga ko e puleʻanga taʻengata, pea ko hoʻo pule ʻoku tolonga ia ʻi he ngaahi toʻutangata kotoa pē.
You will never stop being king; you [will] rule (throughout all generations/forever). Yahweh, you faithfully do all that you have promised to do, and all that you do, you do mercifully.
14 ‌ʻOku poupou hake ʻe Sihova ʻakinautolu kotoa pē kuo hinga, pea ʻoku ne fokotuʻu ʻakinautolu kotoa pē kuo mapelu ki lalo.
Yahweh, you help all those who are discouraged and you lift up all those who (stumble and fall down/are distressed).
15 ‌ʻOku hanga ʻae ngaahi mata kotoa pē kiate koe; pea ʻoku ke foaki ʻenau meʻakai ʻi he feituʻulaʻā totonu.
All of the creatures that you made expect that you [will provide food for them], and you give them food when they need it.
16 ‌ʻOku ke mafola ho nima, mo fakamākona ʻae holi ʻae meʻa moʻui kotoa pē.
You give food to all living creatures generously [IDM], and you cause them to (be satisfied/have all the food that they need).
17 ‌ʻOku angatonu ʻa Sihova ʻi hono hala kotoa pē, pea māʻoniʻoni ʻi heʻene ngaahi ngāue kotoa pē.
Everything that Yahweh does, he does justly/fairly, and all that he does, he does mercifully.
18 ‌ʻOku ofi ʻa Sihova kiate kinautolu kotoa pē kuo ui ki heʻene ʻafio, kiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku nau ui kiate ia ʻi he moʻoni.
Yahweh (comes near to/is ready to help) all those who call out to him, to those who call to him sincerely.
19 Te ne fai ki he holi ʻanautolu ʻoku manavahē kiate ia: ʻe fanongo foki ia ki heʻenau tangi, pea te ne fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu.
To all those who revere him, he gives them what they need. He hears them when they cry out to him, and saves/rescues them.
20 ‌ʻOku fakamoʻui ʻe Sihova ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku nau ʻofa kiate ia: ka ko e angakovi kotoa pē te ne fakaʻauha.
Yahweh protects all those who love him, but he will get rid of all the wicked [people].
21 ‌ʻE lea ʻaki ʻe hoku ngutu ʻae fakamālō kia Sihova: pea tuku ke fakafetaʻi ʻae kakano kotoa pē ki hono huafa māʻoniʻoni ʻo lauikuonga pea taʻengata.
I [SYN] will always praise Yahweh; [He is] holy; and I wish/hope that everyone will praise him [MTY] forever.
