< Saame 131 >
1 Ko e Hiva ʻa Tevita maʻae ʻalu hake. ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ʻikai fielahi hoku loto, pe fieʻeiki hoku mata: pea ʻoku ʻikai te u kau ʻi he ngaahi meʻa lalahi, pe ʻi he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku māʻolunga hake ʻiate au.
Yahweh, I am not proud and I have not thought highly about (myself/the things that I have done). And I do not concern myself about things [that you have done] that are very big or very wonderful.
2 Ko e moʻoni kuo u fakafiemālieʻi mo fakanaʻanaʻaʻi au, ʻo hangē ko e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae mei heʻene faʻē: ʻoku tatau hoku laumālie mo e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae.
Instead, I am calm and peaceful, like a [small] child who lies quietly in its mother’s arms [SIM]. In the same way, I am peaceful.
3 Tuku ke ʻamanaki lelei ʻa ʻIsileli kia Sihova, mei he ʻaho ni pea taʻengata.
You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will do good things for you], now and forever!
