< Saame 130 >
1 Ko e Hiva ʻae ʻalu hake. ʻE Sihova, naʻaku tangi kiate koe mei he ngaahi moana.
A Song of degrees. Out of the depths do I call upon thee, Jehovah.
2 ʻE ʻEiki, ke ke ongoʻi hoku leʻo: fakatokangaʻi ho fofonga ki he leʻo ʻo ʻeku ngaahi lotu tāumaʻu.
Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
3 Kapau te ke fakaʻilonga, ʻE Sihova, ʻae ngaahi hia, ʻE ʻEiki, ko hai ʻe faʻa tuʻu?
If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand?
4 Ka ʻoku ʻiate koe ʻae fakamolemole, koeʻuhi ke manavahē ai kiate koe.
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 ʻOku ou tatali kia Sihova, ʻoku tatali ʻa hoku laumālie, pea ʻoku ou ʻamanaki lelei ki heʻene folofola.
I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6 ʻOku tatali ʻa hoku laumālie kia Sihova ʻo lahi hake ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku nau leʻo ki he pongipongi: ʻoku ou pehē, ʻo lahi hake ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku nau leʻo ki he pongipongi.
My soul [waiteth] for the Lord more than the watchers [wait] for the morning, [more than] the watchers for the morning.
7 Ke ʻamanaki ʻa ʻIsileli kia Sihova: he ʻoku ʻia Sihova ʻae ʻaloʻofa, pea ʻoku ʻiate ia ʻae huhuʻi lahi.
Let Israel hope in Jehovah, because with Jehovah there is loving-kindness, and with him is plenteous redemption;
8 Pea te ne huhuʻi ʻa ʻIsileli mei heʻene ngaahi hia kotoa pē.
And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
