< Saame 121 >

1 Ko e Hiva ʻae ʻalu hake. Te u hanga hake hoku mata ki he ngaahi moʻunga, ʻaia ʻoku haʻu mei ai hoku tokoni.
A song of degrees. I will lift mine eyes vnto the mountaines, from whence mine helpe shall come.
2 ‌ʻOku haʻu hoku tokoni meia Sihova, ʻaia ne ne ngaohi ʻae langi mo māmani.
Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.
3 ‌ʻE ʻikai tuku ʻe ia ke hiki ho vaʻe: ko ia ʻoku ne tauhi koe ʻe ʻikai tulemohe ia.
He wil not suffer thy foote to slippe: for he that keepeth thee, will not slumber.
4 Vakai, ko ia ʻoku ne tauhi ʻa ʻIsileli ʻe ʻikai te ne tulemohe pe mohe.
Beholde, he that keepeth Israel, wil neither slumber nor sleepe.
5 Ko Sihova ko ho tauhi: ko Sihova ko ho fakamalu ia ʻi ho nima toʻomataʻu.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.
6 ‌ʻE ʻikai taaʻi koe ʻe he laʻā ʻi he ʻaho, pe ʻe he māhina ʻi he pō.
The sunne shall not smite thee by day, nor the moone by night.
7 ‌ʻE fakahaofi koe ʻe Sihova mei he kovi kotoa pē: te ne fakamoʻui ho laumālie.
The Lord shall preserue thee from all euil: he shall keepe thy soule.
8 ‌ʻE tauhi ʻe Sihova hoʻo ʻalu kituʻa mo hoʻo liu mai mei he ʻaho ni, pea taʻengata.
The Lord shall preserue thy going out, and thy comming in from henceforth and for euer.
