< Saame 112 >
1 Mou fakamālō kia Sihova. ʻOku monūʻia ʻae tangata ʻoku ne manavahē kia Sihova, mo ne fiefia lahi ʻi heʻene ngaahi fekau.
Praise Yahweh. Blessed is the man who obeys Yahweh, who greatly delights in his commandments.
2 ʻE mālohi hono hako ʻi māmani: ko e toʻutangata ʻoe angatonu tenau monūʻia.
His descendants will be powerful on earth; the descendants of the godly man will be blessed.
3 ʻE ʻi hono fale ʻae koloa mo e nāunau: pea ʻoku tolonga ʻo taʻengata ʻa ʻene angatonu.
Wealth and riches are in his house; his righteousness will endure forever.
4 ʻOku tupu ʻae maama ki he angatonu ʻi he poʻuli: ʻoku angaʻofa ia, pea fonu ʻi he manavaʻofa, pea māʻoniʻoni.
Light shines in the darkness for the godly person; he is gracious, merciful, and just.
5 ʻOku fakahā ʻe he tangata angalelei ʻae ʻofa, pea ʻoku faʻa ʻatu: te ne pule ki heʻene meʻa ʻi he poto.
It goes well for the man who deals graciously and lends money, who conducts his affairs with honesty.
6 Ko e moʻoni ʻe ʻikai ueʻi ia ʻo lauikuonga: ʻe taʻengata ʻae fakamanatu ki he kakai māʻoniʻoni.
For he will never be moved; the righteous person will be remembered forever.
7 ʻE ʻikai te ne manavahē ki he ongoongo kovi: kuo maʻu hono loto ʻi he falala kia Sihova.
He does not fear bad news; he is confident, trusting in Yahweh.
8 Kuo fokotuʻumaʻu ʻa hono loto: ʻe ʻikai te ne manavahē, ka ʻe mamata ia ki hono ngaahi fili.
His heart is tranquil, without fear, until he looks in triumph over his adversaries.
9 Kuo tufa ʻe ia, kuo ne foaki ki he masiva; ʻoku tolonga ʻo taʻengata ʻa ʻene angatonu; ʻe hiki hake hono nifo ʻi he ongolelei.
He generously gives to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; he will be exalted with honor.
10 ʻE mamata ki ai ʻae angahala, pea tenau mamahi: ʻe fengaiʻitaki hono nifo, pea ʻe mole atu ia: ʻe ʻauha ʻae holi ʻae angahala.
The wicked person will see this and be angry; he will grind his teeth in rage and he will melt away; the desire of the wicked people will perish.
