< Saame 105 >
1 Mou ʻatu ʻae fakafetaʻi kia Sihova; ui ki hono huafa: fakahā ʻene ngaahi ngāue ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kakai.
Give thanks to YHWH. Call on his name. Make his deeds known among the peoples.
2 Hiva kiate ia, hiva ʻaki ʻae ngaahi saame kiate ia: mou talanoa ʻaki ʻene ngaahi ngāue fakaofo kotoa pē.
Sing to him, sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.
3 Mou vikiviki ʻi hono huafa māʻoniʻoni: tuku ke fiefia ʻae loto ʻokinautolu ʻoku nau kumi kia Sihova.
Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek YHWH rejoice.
4 Kumi kia Sihova, mo hono mālohi: kumi maʻuaipē ki hono fofonga.
Seek YHWH and his strength. Seek his face forever more.
5 Manatu ki heʻene ngaahi ngāue fakaofo ʻaia kuo ne fai; ʻa ʻene ngaahi mana, mo e ngaahi fakamaau ʻa hono fofonga;
Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
6 ʻAkimoutolu ʻae hako ʻo ʻEpalahame ko ʻene tamaioʻeiki, ʻakimoutolu ʻae fānau ʻa Sēkope ʻaia kuo ne fili.
you offspring of Abraham, his servant, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7 Ko ia, ko Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua, ʻoku ʻi māmani kotoa pē ʻa ʻene ngaahi fakamaau.
He is YHWH, our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
8 Kuo manatu ʻe ia ki heʻene fuakava ʻo lauikuonga, ko e folofola ʻaia naʻa ne fekau ki he toʻutangata ʻe taha afe.
He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
9 ʻA e fuakava ʻaia naʻa ne fai mo ʻEpalahame, pea mo ʻene fuakava kia ʻAisake;
the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac,
10 Pea ne fokotuʻumaʻu ia kia Sēkope ko e fono, pea kia ʻIsileli ko e fuakava taʻengata:
and confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
11 ʻO ne pehē, “Te u foaki kiate koe ʻae fonua ko Kēnani, ko e fuofua ʻo homou tofiʻa:”
saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;"
12 ʻI he lolotonga naʻe tokosiʻi pe honau kau tangata; ʻio, ko e tokosiʻi ʻaupito, mo e kau muli ʻi ai.
when they were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.
13 Lolotonga ʻa ʻenau ʻalu mei he faʻahinga ʻe taha ki ha faʻahinga kehe, pea mei he puleʻanga ʻe taha ki he kakai kehe;
They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
14 Naʻe ʻikai tuku ʻe ia ke fai kovi ʻe ha tangata ʻe taha kiate kinautolu: ʻio, naʻa ne valoki ʻae ngaahi tuʻi koeʻuhi ko kinautolu;
He allowed no one to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes,
15 ʻO ne pehē, “ʻOua naʻa ala kiate ia kuo u pani, pea ʻoua naʻa fai kovi ki heʻeku kau palōfita.”
"Do not touch my anointed ones. Do my prophets no harm."
16 Pea naʻa ne ui foki ke hoko ʻae honge ki he fonua: naʻa ne fesiʻi ʻae tokotoko kotoa pē ʻoe mā,
He called for a famine on the land. He destroyed the food supplies.
17 Naʻa ne fekau ʻae tangata ke muʻomuʻa ʻiate kinautolu, ʻio, ko Siosefa ʻaia naʻe fakatau ke tamaioʻeiki:
He sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.
18 Pea naʻa nau fakamamahiʻi hono vaʻe ʻaki ʻae ngaahi haʻi: naʻe tuia ia ʻe he ukamea:
They bruised his feet with shackles. His neck was locked in irons,
19 ʻO aʻu ki he ʻaho naʻe hoko ai ʻene lea: naʻe ʻahiʻahiʻi ia ʻe he folofola ʻa Sihova.
until the time that his word happened, and YHWH's word proved him true.
20 Naʻe fekau ʻe he tuʻi ke vete ia; ʻio, ʻe he pule ʻoe kakai, pea naʻa ne tukuange ia ke tauʻatāina pe.
The king sent and freed him; even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.
21 Naʻa ne fakanofo ia ko e ʻeiki ʻo hono fale, mo e pule ʻo ʻene koloa kotoa pē:
He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all of his possessions;
22 Ke haʻisia hono ngaahi ʻeiki ko ʻene faʻiteliha; mo akonakiʻi ʻa ʻene kau mātuʻa ʻi he poto.
to discipline his princes at his pleasure, and to teach his elders wisdom.
23 Naʻe haʻu foki ʻa ʻIsileli ki ʻIsipite pea naʻe ʻāunofo ʻa Sēkope ʻi he fonua ʻo Hami.
Israel also came into Egypt. Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 Pea naʻa ne fakatupu ʻo tokolahi ʻaupito ʻa hono kakai; pea ne ngaohi ʻakinautolu kenau mālohi hake ʻi honau ngaahi fili.
He increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.
25 Naʻa ne liliu honau loto kenau fehiʻa ki hono kakai, kenau fai kākā ki heʻene kau tamaioʻeiki.
He turned their heart to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.
26 Naʻa ne fekau atu ʻa Mōsese ko ʻene tamaioʻeiki; mo ʻElone ʻaia naʻa ne fili.
He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 Naʻa ne fakahā hono ngaahi fakaʻilonga ʻiate kinautolu, mo e ngaahi meʻa mana ʻi he fonua ʻo Hami.
They performed miracles among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28 Naʻe fekau ʻe ia ki he fakapoʻuli, pea ngaohi ia ko e poʻuli; pea naʻe ʻikai angatuʻu ʻakinautolu ki heʻene folofola.
He sent darkness, and made it dark, but they rebelled against his words.
29 Naʻa ne liliu honau ngaahi vai ko e toto, mo tāmateʻi ʻenau ika.
He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish.
30 Naʻe tupu ʻi honau fonua ʻae fanga poto ʻo lahi ʻaupito, ʻi he ngaahi loki ʻo honau ngaahi tuʻi.
Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings.
31 Naʻe folofola ia, pea naʻe haʻu ʻae ngaahi lango kehekehe, mo e fanga kutu ʻi honau fonua.
He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and gnats in all their territory.
32 Naʻa ne ʻomi ʻae ʻuha maka kiate kinautolu ko e fetongi ʻoe ʻuha, mo e afi ʻoku ulo ʻi honau fonua.
He gave them hail for rain, flaming fire in their land.
33 Naʻa ne taaʻi foki ʻenau ngaahi vaine, mo ʻenau ngaahi ʻakau ko e fiki; pea fesiʻi ʻae ngaahi ʻakau ʻo honau fonua.
He struck their vines and also their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.
34 Naʻa ne folofola, pea naʻe haʻu ai ʻae fanga heʻe, mo e ngaahi ʻunufe ʻoku taʻefaʻalaua.
He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, without number,
35 Pea naʻa nau kai ke ʻosi ʻae ngaahi ʻakau kotoa pē ʻi honau fonua, pea nau fakaʻauha ʻae fua ʻo ʻenau ngoue.
ate up every plant in their land; and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 Naʻa ne taaʻi foki ʻae ʻuluaki fānau kotoa pē ʻi honau fonua, ko e fungani ʻo ʻenau mālohi kotoa pē.
He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood.
37 Naʻa ne ʻomi foki ʻakinautolu mo e siliva mo e koula: pea naʻe ʻikai ai ha tokotaha naʻe vaivai ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga.
And he brought them out with silver and gold, and there was no one among their tribes who stumbled.
38 Naʻe fiefia ʻa ʻIsipite ʻi heʻenau ʻalu hē naʻe tō kiate kinautolu ʻae manavahē koeʻuhi ko kinautolu.
Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen on them.
39 Naʻa ne fofola ʻae ʻao ko e fakamalu pea mo e afi ke fakamaama ʻi he pō.
He spread a cloud for a covering, fire to give light in the night.
40 Naʻe kole ʻe he kakai, pea naʻa ne ʻomi ʻae fanga manupuna, mo ne fakamākona ʻaki ʻakinautolu ʻae mā ʻoe langi.
They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of the sky.
41 Naʻa ne fakaava ʻae maka, pea ʻoho mai ʻae ngaahi vai; pea naʻe tafe ia ʻi he ngaahi potu mōmoa ʻo hangē ko e vaitafe.
He opened the rock, and waters gushed out. They ran as a river in the dry places.
42 He naʻa ne manatu ki heʻene talaʻofa māʻoniʻoni, mo ʻEpalahame ko ʻene tamaioʻeiki.
For he remembered his holy word, and Abraham, his servant.
43 Pea ne ʻomi hono kakai ʻi he fiefia, mo kinautolu kuo ne fili ʻi he nekeneka:
He brought forth his people with joy, his chosen with singing.
44 Pea ne foaki kiate kinautolu ʻae ngaahi fonua ʻoe hiteni, pea naʻa nau maʻu ʻae ngāue ʻae kakai
He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession,
45 Koeʻuhi kenau tokanga ki heʻene ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni, mo tauhi ʻene ngaahi fekau. Mou fakamālō kia Sihova.
that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise JAH.
