< Saame 102 >

1 Ko e Lotu ʻae mamahi ʻi hono lōmekina, pea ne lilingi ʻene mamahi ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova. ‌ʻE Sihova, fanongo ki heʻeku lotu, pea tuku ke aʻu atu ʻeku tangi kiate koe.
A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before the LORD. Hear my prayer, LORD! Let my cry come to you.
2 ‌ʻOua naʻa ke fufū ho fofonga ʻiate au ʻi he ʻaho ʻoku ou mamahi ai; fakatokangaʻi ho fofonga kiate au: ʻi he ʻaho ʻoku ou ui ai ke vave hoʻo talia au.
Don’t hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.
3 He kuo fakaʻosi hoku ngaahi ʻaho ʻo hangē ko e kohu, pea kuo vela hoku ngaahi hui ʻo hangē ko e veʻe tofunanga.
For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.
4 Kuo taaʻi hoku loto, pea kuo mae ʻo hangē ko e mohuku; ko ia kuo ngalo ai ʻiate au ke kai ʻeku mā.
My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.
5 Koeʻuhi ko e leʻo ʻo ʻeku toʻe, ko ia ʻoku piki ai hoku ngaahi hui ki hoku kili.
By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.
6 ‌ʻOku ou tatau mo e pelikani ʻoe toafa: ʻoku ou hangē ko e lulu ʻoe potu lala.
I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.
7 ‌ʻOku ou leʻo, pea u tatau mo e kihiʻi manupuna ʻoku tokotaha pē ʻi he tuʻahivi ʻoe fale.
I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.
8 ‌ʻOku manuki kiate au ʻa hoku ngaahi fili ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē; pea ko kinautolu ʻoku mata lili kiate au kuo nau fuakava ke angatuʻu kiate au.
My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.
9 He kuo u kai ʻae efuefu ʻo hangē ko e mā, mo huʻi ʻaki hoku inu ʻae loʻimata,
For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,
10 Koeʻuhi ko ho tuputāmaki mo ho houhau: he kuo ke hiki hake au, pea lī au ki lalo.
because of your indignation and your wrath; for you have taken me up and thrown me away.
11 ‌ʻOku tatau hoku ngaahi ʻaho mo e ʻata ʻoku mole atu; pea kuo u mae ʻo hangē ko e mohuku.
My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass.
But you, LORD, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations.
13 Te ke tuʻu hake, mo ke ʻaloʻofa ki Saione: he ko e ʻaho ke tokoni ia, ʻio, ko e ʻaho kuo tuʻutuʻuni kuo hoko mai.
You will arise and have mercy on Zion, for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.
14 He ʻoku fiemālie ʻa hoʻo kau tamaioʻeiki ʻi hono ngaahi maka, pea ʻoku nau ʻofa ki hono efu ʻoʻona.
For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust.
15 Ko ia ʻe manavahē ai ʻae hiteni ki he huafa ʻo Sihova, pea ko e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo māmani ki ho nāunau.
So the nations will fear the LORD’s name, all the kings of the earth your glory.
16 ‌ʻOka toe langa hake ʻe Sihova ʻa Saione, ʻe fakahā ia ʻi hono nāunau.
For the LORD has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.
He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.
This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise the LORD,
19 He kuo ʻafio hifo ia mei he māʻolunga ʻo hono faletapu; naʻe ʻafio ʻa Sihova mei he langi ki māmani;
for he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, the LORD saw the earth,
20 Ke ne fanongo ki he toʻe ʻoe pōpula; ke vete ʻakinautolu kuo tuʻutuʻuni ke mate;
to hear the groans of the prisoner, to free those who are condemned to death,
21 Ke fakahā ʻae huafa ʻo Sihova ʻi Saione, mo ʻene fakamālō ʻi Selūsalema;
that men may declare the LORD’s name in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem,
22 ‌ʻOka fakataha ʻae kakai, pea mo e ngaahi puleʻanga, ke tauhi ʻa Sihova.
when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.
24 Naʻaku pehē, ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ʻoua naʻa ʻave au ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo hoku ngaahi ʻaho: ko ho ngaahi taʻu ʻoku tolonga ki he toʻutangata kotoa pē.
I said, “My God, don’t take me away in the middle of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.
25 Naʻa ke ʻai ʻi he kamataʻanga ʻae tuʻunga ʻo māmani; pea koe ngaahi langi koe ngaue ia ʻa ho nima.
Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.
26 ‌ʻE ʻauha ia, ka ʻe pehē ai pe ʻa koe, ʻio, ʻe fakaʻaʻau kotoa pē ia ke motuʻa ʻo hangē ko e kofu; pea hangē ko e pulupulu te ke fatufatu ia, pea ʻe fakakehe ia:
They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.
27 Ka ʻe pehē ai pe ʻa koe, pea ʻe ʻikai hano ngataʻanga ʻo ho ngaahi taʻu.
But you are the same. Your years will have no end.
The children of your servants will continue. Their offspring will be established before you.”
