1 Pea naʻe folofola ʻa Sihova kia Mōsese, ʻo pehē,
Yahweh said to Moses/me,
2 Fekau ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, pea ke pehē kiate kinautolu, “ʻOka mou ka hoko ki he fonua ko Kēnani; (koe fonua ia ʻe tō kiate kimoutolu ko e tofiʻa, ʻio, ko e fonua ko Kēnani mo e ngaahi ngataʻanga fonua ʻo ia: )
“Tell this to the Israeli people: You will soon enter Canaan land, and it will become yours. These will be the borders of the land:
3 Pea ko homou ngataʻanga ki he potu tonga ʻe mei he toafa ʻo Sini ʻo fai atu ki he mata fonua ʻo ʻItomi, pea ko homou ngataʻanga ki he potu tonga ʻe ngata mei he matātahi ʻoe tahi māsima ki hahake:
On the south you will receive part of the Zin Desert, near the border of the Edom [region]. On the east side, the border will start at the south end of the Dead Sea.
4 Pea ko e ʻalunga ʻo homou ngataʻanga ʻe ngata mei he potu tonga ki he hakeʻanga ʻo ʻAkilapime, ʻo fai atu ki Sini: pea ʻe mole atu ia ki he potu tonga ki Ketesi-pania, ʻo fai atu ki he kolo ko ʻAta, ʻo aʻu atu ki ʻAsimoni:
It will extend to a little south of the Scorpion Pass, and extend [west] through [the] Zin [Desert] and south of Kadesh-Barnea. From there it will extend to Hazar Addar and from there to Azmon.
5 Pea ko hono ngataʻanga ʻe fai atu mei ʻAsimoni ʻo aʻu ki he vaitafe ʻo ʻIsipite pea ko hono ngataʻanga ʻe mole atu ki he tahi.
From Azmon it will extend [west] to the dry riverbed [at the border] of Egypt and then to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
6 Pea koeʻuhi ko hono ngataʻanga ki lulunga, ʻe hoko ʻae tahi lahi ko homou ngataʻanga: ko homou ngataʻanga ia ki lulunga.
The border on the west will be the Mediterranean Sea.
7 Pea ko eni ʻa homou ngataʻanga ki tokelau: te mou fua atu maʻamoutolu mei he tahi lahi ki he moʻunga ko Hoa:
The border on the north will start from the Mediterranean Sea and extend [east] to Hor Mountain.
8 Mei he moʻunga ko Hoa te mou fakaʻilongaʻi homou ngataʻanga ki he hūʻanga ki Hemati; pea ʻe mole atu ʻa hono ngataʻanga ʻo aʻu ki Sitati:
From there it will extend to Lebo-Hamath and then to Zedad.
9 Pea ʻe mole atu hono ngataʻanga ki Sifiloni, pea ʻe ʻalu atu ia ʻo aʻu ki he kolo ko ʻEnani: ko eni homou ngataʻanga ki tokelau.
From there the border will extend to Ziphron, and it will end at Hazar-Enan.
10 Pea te mou fakaʻilongaʻi homou ngataʻanga ki hahake mei he kolo ko ʻEnani ki Sifami:
The border on the east will start at Hazar-Enan and extend [south] to Shepham.
11 Pea ʻe ʻalu hifo hono ngataʻanga mei Sifami ki Lipila, ʻi he potu hahake ʻo ʻAine; pea ʻe ʻalu hifo hono ngataʻanga ʻo aʻu ki he tafaʻaki ʻoe tahi ko Kineleti ki hahake:
From there it will extend east of Ain to Riblah and then along the hills that are east of Galilee Lake.
12 Pea ʻe ʻalu hifo hono ngataʻanga ki Sioatani, pea ʻe mole atu ia ki he tahi māsima: ʻe hoko eni ko homou fonua mo hono ngataʻanga fakatakamilo ʻo ia.
Then the border will extend south along the Jordan [River] and end at the Dead Sea. Those will be the borders around your country.”
13 Pea naʻe fekau ʻe Mōsese ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, ʻo pehē, Ko eni ʻae fonua ʻaia te mou maʻu ʻi he talotalo, ʻaia kuo fekau ʻe Sihova ke foaki ki he faʻahinga ʻe hiva, pea ki hono vaeua ʻoe faʻahinga:
So Moses/I [told all that] to the Israeli people. Then he/I said to them, “That is the land that you will receive. You must throw (lots/stones that have been marked) to decide which area will go to each of the nine and a half tribes, because Yahweh has commanded that it should be divided among them.
14 He ko e faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Lupeni ʻo fakatatau ki he fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai, mo e faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Kata ʻo fakatatau ki he fale ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai, kuo nau maʻu honau tofiʻa; pea ko hono vaeua ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase kuo nau maʻu honau tofiʻa:
The tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe of Manasseh have already received the land in which they will live.
15 Ko e faʻahinga ʻe ua mo hono vaeua ʻoe faʻahinga kuo nau maʻu honau tofiʻa ʻi he kauvai ki heni ʻo Sioatani ki hahake, ʻo hanga ki he hopoʻangalaʻā.”
They have received land on the east side of the Jordan [River], across from Jericho.”
16 Pea naʻe folofola ʻa Sihova kia Mōsese, ʻo pehē,
Then Yahweh said to Moses/me,
17 “Ko e ngaahi hingoa eni ʻoe kau tangata tenau tufa ʻae fonua kiate kimoutolu: ko ʻEliesa ko e taulaʻeiki, mo Siosiua ko e foha ʻo Nuni.
“These are the men who will divide the land: First, Eleazar and Joshua.
18 Pea te mou fili mai ha ʻeiki taki tokotaha ʻi he ngaahi faʻahinga kotoa pē, kenau tufa ʻae fonua ko e ngaahi tofiʻa.”
But one leader [from each of the twelve tribes will help them divide the land].

24 Pea ko e ʻeiki ʻoe faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIfalemi, ko Kimueli ko e foha ʻo Sifitani.
25 Pea ko e ʻeiki ʻoe faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Sepuloni, ko ʻIlisafani ko e foha ʻo Panaki.
26 Pea ko e ʻeiki ʻoe faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsaka, ko Paletili ko e foha ʻo ʻAsana.
