1 Ko e ngaahi fononga eni ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, ʻakinautolu naʻe ʻalu atu ʻi he fonua ko ʻIsipite mo ʻenau ngaahi matatau ʻi he nima ʻo Mōsese mo ʻElone.
These are the journeys of the sons of Israel when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2 Pea naʻe tohi ʻe Mōsese ʻenau fononga atu ʻo fakatatau ki heʻenau ngaahi fononga ʻi he fekau ʻa Sihova: pea ko e ngaahi fononga eni ʻo hangē ko ʻenau ʻalu atu.
And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah. And these are their journeys according to their goings out.
3 Pea naʻa nau fononga mei Lamisisi ʻi he ʻuluaki māhina, ʻi hono hongofulu ma nima ʻoe ʻaho ʻi he ʻuluaki māhina; ʻi he pongipongi hake ʻi he hili ʻae laka atu, pea naʻe ʻalu atu ai ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli mo e nima māʻolunga ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kakai ʻIsipite kotoa pē.
And they journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the morrow after the Passover the sons of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians,
4 He naʻe tanu ʻe he kakai ʻIsipite ʻenau ʻuluaki tama kotoa pē, ʻakinautolu naʻe taaʻi ʻe Sihova ʻiate kinautolu: pea naʻe hoko foki meia Sihova ʻae tautea ki honau ngaahi ʻotua.
while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom Jehovah had smitten among them; upon their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.
5 Pea naʻe hiki ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli mei Lamisisi ʻonau nofo ʻi Sukote.
And the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.
6 Pea naʻa nau hiki atu mei Sukote ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻEtami, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he mata toafa.
And they journeyed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
7 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻEtami, ʻonau toe foki ki Piheloti, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he ʻao ʻo Peali-sefoni: pea nau ʻapitanga ʻi he ʻao ʻo Mikitoli.
And they journeyed from Etham, and turned back to Pihahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon, and they encamped before Migdol.
8 Pea nau hiki atu mei he potu ʻo Piheloti, ʻonau ʻalu atu ʻi loto tahi ki he toafa, pea naʻa nau fononga ʻi he ʻaho ʻe tolu ʻi he toafa ʻo ʻEtami, ʻonau nofo ʻi Mala.
And they journeyed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness. And they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.
9 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Mala, ʻonau haʻu ki ʻElimi: pea naʻe ʻi ʻElimi ʻae matavai moʻui ʻe hongofulu ma ua, mo e ʻakau ko e ponga ʻe fitungofulu; pea naʻa nau ʻapitanga ʻi ai.
And they journeyed from Marah, and came to Elim. And in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there.
10 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻElimi, ʻonau nofo ofi ki he Tahi Kulokula.
And they journeyed from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.
11 Pea naʻa nau hiki atu mei he Tahi Kulokula, ʻonau nofo ʻi he toafa ʻo Sini.
And they journeyed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
12 Pea naʻa nau fononga atu mei he toafa ʻo Sini, ʻonau nofo ʻi Tofika.
And they journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.
13 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Tofika, ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻAlusi.
And they journeyed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.
14 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻAlusi, ʻonau nofo ʻi Lefitimi, ka naʻe ʻikai ha vai ʻi ai ke inu ai ʻae kakai.
And they journeyed from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.
15 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Lefitimi, ʻonau nofo ʻi he toafa ʻo Sainai.
And they journeyed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.
16 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei he toafa ʻo Sainai, ʻonau nofo ʻi Kipiloti-Hateva.
And they journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah.
17 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Kipiloti-Hateva, ʻonau nofo ʻi Heseloti.
And they journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Hazeroth.
18 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Heseloti, ʻonau nofo ʻi Litima.
And they journeyed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.
19 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Litima, ʻonau nofo ʻi Limoni-Pelesi.
And they journeyed from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon-perez.
20 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Limoni-Pelesi, ʻo nau nofo ʻi Lipina.
And they journeyed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.
21 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Lipina, ʻo nau nofo ʻi Lisa.
And they journeyed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.
22 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Lisa, ʻonau nofo ʻi Kelata.
And they journeyed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.
23 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Kelata, ʻonau nofo ʻi he moʻunga ko Sefa.
And they journeyed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shepher.
24 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei he moʻunga ko Sefa, ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻAlata.
And they journeyed from mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah.
25 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻAlata, ʻonau nofo ʻi Makiloti.
And they journeyed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.
26 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Makiloti, ʻonau nofo ʻi Tehati.
And they journeyed from Makheloth, and encamped in Tahath.
27 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Tehati, ʻonau nofo ʻi Tala.
And they journeyed from Tahath, and encamped in Terah.
28 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Tala, ʻonau nofo ʻi Mitika.
And they journeyed from Terah, and encamped in Mithkah.
29 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Mitika, ʻonau nofo ʻi Hasimona.
And they journeyed from Mithkah, and encamped in Hashmonah.
30 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Hasimona, ʻonau nofo ʻi Moseloti.
And they journeyed from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth.
31 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Moseloti, ʻonau nofo ʻi Pinei-Sekani.
And they journeyed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-jaakan.
32 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Pinei-sekani, ʻonau nofo ʻi Hoa-Hakitikati.
And they journeyed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped in Hor-haggidgad.
33 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Hoa-hakitikati, ʻonau nofo ʻi Sotipati.
And they journeyed from Hor-haggidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.
34 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Sotipati, ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻApilona.
And they journeyed from Jotbathah, and encamped in Abronah.
35 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻApilona, ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻEsioni-Kepa.
And they journeyed from Abronah, and encamped in Ezion-geber.
36 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻEsioni-Kepa, ʻonau nofo ʻi he toafa ʻo Sini, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi Ketesi.
And they journeyed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin (the same is Kadesh).
37 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Ketesi, ʻonau nofo ʻi he moʻunga ko Hoa, ʻi he mata fonua ʻo ʻItomi.
And they journeyed from Kadesh, and encamped at mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
38 Pea naʻe ʻalu hake ʻa ʻElone ko e taulaʻeiki ʻi he fekau ʻa Sihova ki he moʻunga ko Hoa, pea ne pekia ai, ʻi hono fāngofulu ʻoe taʻu ʻoe haʻu ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli mei he fonua ko ʻIsipite, ʻi hono nima ʻoe māhina ʻi hono ʻuluaki ʻaho.
(And Aaron the priest went up onto mount Hor at the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the sons of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.
39 Pea naʻe kakato ʻae taʻu ʻe teau ma uofulu ma tolu kia ʻElone ʻi heʻene pekia ʻi he moʻunga ko Hoa.
And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died in mount Hor.
40 Pea ko e tuʻi ko ʻAlati ʻoe kakai Kēnani, ʻaia naʻe nofo ʻi he potu tonga ʻi he fonua ko Kēnani, naʻe fanongo ia ʻoku haʻu ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli.
And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the sons of Israel.)
41 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei he moʻunga ko Hoa, ʻonau nofo ʻi Salimona.
And they journeyed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.
42 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Salimona, ʻonau nofo ʻi Pinoni.
And they journeyed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.
43 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Pinoni, ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻOpoti.
And they journeyed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.
44 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻOpoti, ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻIsi-ʻApalimi, ʻi he ʻao ʻo Moape.
And they journeyed from Oboth, and encamped in Iye-abarim, in the border of Moab.
45 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻImi, ʻonau nofo ʻi Tiponi-Kata.
And they journeyed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.
46 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei Tiponi-Kata, ʻonau nofo ʻi ʻAlimoni-Tipilatemi.
And they journeyed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.
47 Pea naʻa nau hiki mei ʻAlimoni-Tipilatemi, ʻonau nofo ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻApalimi, ʻi he ʻao ʻo Nipo.
And they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48 Pea naʻa nau hiki atu mei he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻApalimi, ʻonau nofo ʻi he ngaahi toafa ʻo Moape ʻo ofi ki Sioatani [pea ofi ki ]Seliko.
And they journeyed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
49 Pea naʻa nau nofo ʻo ofi ki Sioatani, mei Pete-Sesimoti ʻo aʻu ki ʻEpeli-Sitimi ʻi he ngaahi toafa ʻo Moape.
And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even to Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.
50 Pea naʻe folofola ʻa Sihova kia Mōsese ʻi he ngaahi toafa ʻo Moape ʻo ofi ki Sioatani, mo Seliko, ʻo pehē,
And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
51 “Lea ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, mo ke pehē kiate kinautolu, ʻOka mou ka aʻa ʻi Sioatani ki he fonua ko Kēnani;
Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
52 Te mou toki kapusi ʻi homou ʻao ʻae kakai kotoa pē ʻoku nofo ʻi he fonua, pea maumauʻi honau ngaahi fakatātā, mo fakaʻauha honau ngaahi tamapua fakatātā ukamea pea mātuʻaki holoki hifo honau ngaahi potu māʻolunga kotoa pē:
then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places.
53 Pea te mou kapusi ʻae kakai ʻi he fonua, pea mou nofo ai: he kuo u foaki kiate kimoutolu ʻae fonua ke mou maʻu.
And ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell in it, for to you I have given the land to possess it.
54 Pea te mou tufa ʻae fonua ʻi he talotalo ʻae ngaahi tofiʻa ki homou ngaahi faʻahinga: pea ki he tokolahi ke mou tuku honau tofiʻa ke lahi, pea ki he tokosiʻi te mou tuku honau tofiʻa ke siʻi: ʻe ʻi he tangata taki taha, ʻae tofiʻa ʻoe potu kuo ne maʻu ʻi he talotalo, te mou maʻu ia ʻo fakatatau ki he ngaahi faʻahinga ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi tamai
And ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families. To the more ye shall give more inheritance, and to the few thou shall give less inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. Ye shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.
55 Pea kapau ʻe ʻikai te mou kapusi ʻae kakai ʻoe fonua ʻi homou ʻao; ʻe toki hoko ʻo pehē, ko kinautolu ʻoku mou tuku ke toe ʻiate kinautolu, te nau hoko ko e talatala ki homou mata, mo e ngaahi ʻakau talatala ki homou vakavaka, pea tenau fakafiuʻi ʻakimoutolu ʻi he fonua ʻoku mou nofo ai.
But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those that ye let remain of them shall be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land in which ye dwell.
56 Pea ʻe hoko mo ʻeni foki, te u fai kiate kimoutolu, ʻo hangē ko ia ne u tokanga ke fai kiate kinautolu.”
And it shall come to pass, that, as I thought to do to them, so I will do to you.
