After the plague, the LORD spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

These are the families of the Reubenites; and those who were counted of them were forty-three thousand seven hundred thirty.

52 Pea naʻe folofola ʻa Sihova kia Mōsese, ʻo pehē,
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
53 “ʻE tufa ʻae fonua kiate kinautolu ni ko e tofiʻa, ʻo fakatatau ki hono lau ʻoe ngaahi hingoa.
“To these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54 Ke ke foaki ʻae tofiʻa lahi ki he kakai tokolahi, pea mo e tofiʻa siʻi ki he kakai tokosiʻi: ʻe foaki ʻa hono tofiʻa taki taha ʻo fakatatau mo kinautolu naʻe lau ʻiate ia.
To the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance. To everyone according to those who were counted of him shall his inheritance be given.
55 Ka neongo ia ʻe tufa ʻae fonua ʻi he talotalo: pea tenau maʻu ia ʻo fakatatau ki he hingoa ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai.
Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56 ‌ʻE fakatatau ki he talotalo ʻae tufaki ʻoe tofiʻa ki he tokolahi mo e tokosiʻi.”
According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.”
57 Pea ko kinautolu eni naʻe lau ʻoe kau Livai ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga: ʻIa Kesoni, ko e faʻahinga ʻoe kau Kesoni: ʻia Kohate, ko e faʻahinga ʻoe kau Kohate: ʻia Melali, ko e faʻahinga ʻoe kau Melali.
These are those who were counted of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, and the family of the Korahites. Kohath became the father of Amram.

The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. She bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60 Pea naʻe fanauʻi kia ʻElone ʻa Natapi, mo ʻApiu, mo ʻEliesa, mo ʻItama.
To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the LORD.
62 Pea ko kinautolu naʻe lau meiate kinautolu ko e toko ua mano mo e toko tolu afe, ko e kakai tangata kotoa pē mei hono taha māhina ʻo fai hake: he naʻe ʻikai lau ʻakinautolu ʻi he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi naʻe ʻikai foaki ha tofiʻa kiate kinautolu ʻi he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli.
Those who were counted of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not counted among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63 Ko kinautolu ni ia naʻe lau ʻe Mōsese mo ʻEliesa ko e taulaʻeiki, naʻa na lau ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻi he ngaahi tafangafanga tokalelei ʻo Moape ʻoku ofi ki Sioatani mo Seliko.
These are those who were counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who counted the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
64 Ka naʻe ʻikai ha tangata ʻiate kinautolu ni naʻe lau ʻe Mōsese mo ʻElone ko e taulaʻeiki, ʻi heʻena lau ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻi he toafa ʻo Sainai.
But among these there was not a man of them who were counted by Moses and Aaron the priest, who counted the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65 He naʻe folofola ʻa Sihova ʻiate kinautolu, Ko e moʻoni tenau mate ʻi he toafa. Pea naʻe ʻikai ha tangata ʻe toe ʻiate kinautolu, ka ko Kelepi ko e foha ʻo Sifune, mo Siosiua, ko e foha ʻo Nuni.
For the LORD had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” There was not a man left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
