1 Ko au Siute, ko e tamaioʻeiki ʻa Sisu Kalaisi, mo e tokoua ʻo Semisi, kiate kinautolu kuo fakamāʻoniʻoniʻi ʻe he ʻOtua ko e Tamai, pea kuo fakamoʻui ʻe Sisu Kalaisi, ko e uiuiʻi:
Jude, bondman of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to the called ones beloved in God [the] Father and preserved in Jesus Christ:
2 Ke tupulekina pe kiate kimoutolu ʻae ʻofa mataʻataʻatā pe, mo e melino, mo e ʻofa.
Mercy to you, and peace, and love be multiplied.
3 ʻE kāinga ʻofeina, ʻi heʻeku fai fakatoʻotoʻo ʻaupito ke tohi atu kiate kimoutolu ki he fakamoʻui lahi, naʻe totonu ke u tohi kiate kimoutolu, mo enginaki ke mou fekuki fakamātoato koeʻuhi ko e tui naʻe ʻatu ʻi muʻa ki he kāinga māʻoniʻoni.
Beloved, using all diligence to write to you of our common salvation, I have been obliged to write to you exhorting [you] to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.
4 He ʻoku ai ʻae kau tangata kuo nau fetolofi fakapōloto, ʻakinautolu naʻe tohi ʻi muʻa ki he malaʻia ni, ko e kau tangata taʻelotu, ʻonau liliu ʻae ʻofa ʻa hotau ʻOtua ko e faianga angahala, ʻo fakafisinga ʻi he ʻEiki pe taha ko e ʻOtua ko hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi.
For certain men have got in unnoticed, they who of old were marked out beforehand to this sentence, ungodly [persons], turning the grace of our God into dissoluteness, and denying our only Master and Lord Jesus Christ.
5 Ko ia ʻoku ou loto ke fakamanatuʻi ʻakimoutolu, ka naʻa mou ʻilo muʻa ʻae meʻa ni, koeʻuhi ʻi he hili hono fakamoʻui ʻe he ʻEiki ʻae kakai mei he fonua ko ʻIsipite, pea ne toki fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu naʻe ʻikai ke tui.
But I would put you in remembrance, you who once knew all things, that the Lord, having saved a people out of [the] land of Egypt, in the second place destroyed those who had not believed.
6 Pea ko e kau ʻāngelo naʻe ʻikai ke tuʻumaʻu ʻi honau muʻaki ʻalunga, ka naʻa nau tukuange honau nofoʻanga, kuo ne tuku ke moʻua ʻakinautolu ki he ngaahi haʻi taʻengata ʻoe fakapoʻuli ʻo aʻu ki he fakamaau ʻoe ʻaho lahi. (aïdios g126)
And angels who had not kept their own original state, but had abandoned their own dwelling, he keeps in eternal chains under gloomy darkness, to [the] judgment of [the] great day; (aïdios g126)
7 ʻO hangē foki ko Sotoma mo Komola, mo e ngaahi kolo naʻa nau vāofi mo fai tatau, ʻonau tuku ʻakinautolu ki he feʻauaki, mo e muimui ki he feholikoviʻaki, kuo fokotuʻu ko e fakaʻilonga, ʻonau moʻua ʻi he totongi ʻoe afi taʻengata. (aiōnios g166)
as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities around them, committing greedily fornication, in like manner with them, and going after other flesh, lie there as an example, undergoing the judgment of eternal fire. (aiōnios g166)
8 ʻOku pehē foki ʻakinautolu ni, ʻae kau misi [kovi], ʻoku nau ʻuliʻi ʻae sino, ʻo manukiʻi ʻae pule, mo lauʻikovi ʻae kau pule.
Yet in like manner these dreamers also defile [the] flesh, and despise lordship, and speak railingly against dignities.
9 Ka ʻi he alea ʻa Maikeli ko e ʻāngelo lahi mo e tēvolo, naʻe fakakikihi ia ki he sino ʻo Mōsese, ka naʻe ʻikai te ne tali ʻaki ia ha lea manuki, ka naʻa ne pehē, “Ke lōmia koe ʻe he ʻEiki.”
But Michael the archangel, when disputing with the devil he reasoned about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a railing judgment against [him], but said, [The] Lord rebuke thee.
10 Ka ʻoku lea kovi ʻakinautolu ni ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ʻikai te nau ʻiloʻi: ka ko e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku nau ʻilo fakakakano pe fakataha mo e fanga manu taʻeloto, ko e ngaahi meʻa ko ia ʻoku nau ʻuliʻi ai ʻakinautolu.
But these, whatever things they know not, they speak railingly against; but what even, as the irrational animals, they understand by mere nature, in these things they corrupt themselves.
11 ʻE malaʻia ʻakinautolu! He kuo nau ʻalu ʻi he hala ʻo Keini, ʻo tāfea atu ki he hē ʻa Pelami koeʻuhi ko e totongi, pea nau ʻauha ʻi he angatuʻu ʻa Kola.
Woe to them! because they have gone in the way of Cain, and given themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 Ko e ngaahi ʻila ʻakinautolu ni ʻi hoʻomou ngaahi kātoanga ʻofa, ʻi heʻenau keinangaʻanga mo kimoutolu, ʻonau kai fekinaki mo taʻemanavahē: ko e ngaahi ʻao taʻeaihavai, ʻoku vilingia fano ʻe he ngaahi matangi; ko e ngaahi ʻakau fua mate, taʻefua, ʻo mate ʻangaua, kuo taʻaki fuʻu hake;
These are spots in your love-feasts, feasting together [with you] without fear, pasturing themselves; clouds without water, carried along by [the] winds; autumnal trees, without fruit, twice dead, rooted up;
13 Ko e ngaahi peau lili ʻoe tahi, ʻoku nau koā atu ʻenau fakamā; ko e ngaahi fetuʻu he fano pe, pea kuo tuku moʻonautolu ʻae ʻuliʻuli ʻoe fakapoʻuli taʻengata. (aiōn g165)
raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shames; wandering stars, to whom has been reserved the gloom of darkness for eternity. (aiōn g165)
14 Pea naʻe kikite kiate kinautolu ni foki ʻe ʻInoke, ko hono toko fitu meia ʻAtaina, ʻo pehē, “Vakai, ʻoku hāʻele mai ʻae ʻEiki mo e ngaahi toko mano ʻo ʻene kakai māʻoniʻoni.
And Enoch, [the] seventh from Adam, prophesied also as to these, saying, Behold, [the] Lord has come amidst his holy myriads,
15 Ke fai ʻae fakamaau ki he kakai kotoa pē, mo fakamoʻoni ki he kakai taʻelotu kotoa pē ʻa ʻenau ngaahi ngāue fakataʻelotu kotoa pē ʻaia kuo nau fai ʻi he anga fakataʻelotu, pea mo e ngaahi meʻa fakamamahi kotoa pē ʻaia kuo lea ʻaki ʻe he kau angahala taʻelotu kiate ia.”
to execute judgment against all; and to convict all the ungodly of them of all their works of ungodliness, which they have wrought ungodlily, and of all the hard [things] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 Ko e kau lāunga mo hanu ʻakinautolu ni, ʻoku nau angimui ki he ngaahi holi kovi ʻanautolu; pea ʻoku lea fakapuhopuha ʻa honau ngutu, ʻonau filifilimānako ki he kakai koeʻuhi ko e koloa.
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts; and their mouth speaks swelling words, admiring persons for the sake of profit.
17 Kae manatuʻi ʻekimoutolu, ko e ʻofeina, ki he ngaahi lea naʻe lea ʻaki ʻi muʻa ʻe he kau ʻaposetolo ʻa hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi;
But ye, beloved, remember the words spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
18 He naʻa nau fakahā kiate kimoutolu, “ʻE ai ʻae kau manuki ʻi he kuonga ki mui, pea te nau angimui ki he ngaahi holi fakataʻelotu ʻanautolu.”
that they said to you, that at [the] end of the time there should be mockers, walking after their own lusts of ungodlinesses.
19 Ko kinautolu ni ʻoku nau mavaheʻi ʻakinautolu, ʻoku fakakakano, ʻo taʻemaʻu ʻae Laumālie
These are they who set [themselves] apart, natural [men], not having [the] Spirit.
20 Ka ko kimoutolu, ko e ʻofeina, ke langa ʻaki hake ʻakimoutolu ki hoʻomou tui fungani māʻoniʻoni, pea lotu ʻi he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni,
But ye, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 ʻO tauhiʻi ʻakimoutolu ʻi he ʻofa ʻae ʻOtua, mo ʻamanaki ki he ʻofa mataʻataʻatā pē ʻa hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi ki he moʻui taʻengata. (aiōnios g166)
keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
22 Pea ke manavaʻofa ki he niʻihi, ʻo fai kehekehe.
And of some have compassion, making a difference,
23 Pea ko e niʻihi, ke fakamoʻui ʻaki ʻae fakamanavahē, ʻo hamusi mei he afi; ka mou fehiʻa pe ki he kofu kuo ʻuliʻi ʻe he kakano.
but others save with fear, snatching [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Pea ko eni, ke ʻiate ia ʻoku faʻa fai ke taʻofi ʻakimoutolu ke ʻoua naʻa mou hinga, pea ke ʻatu ʻakimoutolu taʻehalaia ʻi he ʻao ʻo hono nāunau mo e fiefia lahi ʻaupito,
But to him that is able to keep you without stumbling, and to set [you] with exultation blameless before his glory,
25 Ke ʻi he ʻOtua poto taha pe ko hotau Fakamoʻui, ʻae nāunau, mo e ongoongolelei mo e pule, mo e mālohi, ʻi heni mo taʻengata. ʻEmeni. (aiōn g165)
to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, [be] glory, majesty, might, and authority, from before the whole age, and now, and to all the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
