1 Pea naʻe toki ʻunuʻunu mai ʻae ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe mātuʻa ʻoe kau Livai kia ʻEliesa ko e taulaʻeiki, pea kia Siosiua ko e foha ʻo Nuni, pea ki he ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe kau mātuʻa ʻoe ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli;
And the heads of the fathers of the Levites draw nigh unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel,
2 Pea naʻa nau lea kiate kinautolu ʻi Sailo ʻi he fonua ko Kēnani, ʻo pehē, “Naʻe fekau ʻe Sihova ʻi he nima ʻo Mōsese ke foaki kiate kimautolu ʻae ngaahi kolo ke mau nofo ai, mo e ngaahi potu takatakai ʻi ai ki heʻemau fanga manu.”
and they speak unto them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, 'Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.'
3 Pea naʻe foaki ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ki he kau Livai mei honau tofiʻa, ʻi he fekau ʻa Sihova, ʻae ngaahi kolo ni mo honau ngaahi potu takatakai.
And the sons of Israel give to the Levites, out of their inheritance, at the command of Jehovah, these cities and their suburbs:
4 Pea naʻe tō mai ʻae talotalo ki he ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe kau Kohate: pea ko e fānau ʻa ʻElone ko e taulaʻeiki, ʻaia naʻe ʻi he kau Livai, naʻe maʻu ʻae tofiʻa ʻi he talotalo mei he faʻahinga ʻo Siuta, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Penisimani, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu.
And the lot goeth out for the families of the Kohathite, and there are for the sons of Aaron the priest (of the Levites), out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, by lot thirteen cities,
5 Pea ko hono toe ʻoe fānau ʻa Kohate naʻa nau maʻu ʻi he talotalo ʻae tofiʻa mei he ngaahi fale ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo ʻIfalemi, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Tani, pea mei he vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu.
and for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities:
6 Pea ko e fānau ʻa Kesoni naʻa nau maʻu ʻi he talotalo ʻae tofiʻa mei he ngaahi fale ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsaka, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻAseli, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Nafitali, pea mei hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase ʻi Pesani, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu.
And for the sons of Gershon [are], out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities.
7 Ko e fānau ʻa Melali ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga naʻa nau maʻu mei he faʻahinga ʻo Lupeni, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Kata, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Sepuloni, ʻae kolo ʻe hongofulu ma ua.
For the sons of Merari, for their families, [are], out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8 Pea naʻe foaki ʻi he talotalo ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻae ngaahi kolo ni mo honau ngaahi potu takatakai ki he kau Livai, ʻo hangē ko e fekau ʻa Sihova ʻi he nima ʻo Mōsese.
And the sons of Israel give to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.
9 Pea naʻa nau foaki mei he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Siuta, pea mei he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Simione, ʻae ngaahi kolo ni ʻaia ʻoku lau honau hingoa,
And they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;
10 ʻAia naʻe maʻu ʻe he fānau ʻe ʻElone, he naʻa nau ʻoe kau Kohate, ʻaia naʻe ʻi he fānau ʻa Livai: he ko e ʻuluaki tufakanga naʻe ʻonautolu.
and they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for theirs hath been the first lot;
11 Pea naʻe foaki kiate kinautolu ʻae kolo ʻo ʻAlipa ko e tamai ʻa ʻAnaki, ʻae kolo ko ia ko Hepeloni, ʻi he fonua moʻunga ʻo Siuta, mo hono veʻe kolo ʻoku tuʻu takatakai.
and they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it [is] Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its suburbs round about it;
12 Ka ko e ngaahi ngoue ʻoe kolo, mo e ngaahi potu kakai ʻo ia, naʻa nau foaki kia Kelepi ko e foha ʻo Sifune ko e tofiʻa moʻona.
and the field of the city and its villages they have given to Caleb son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13 naʻe pehē pe ʻenau foaki ki he fānau ʻa ʻElone ko e taulaʻeiki ʻa Hepeloni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate faainoa: mo Lipina mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And to the sons of Aaron the priest they have given the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Hebron and its suburbs, and Libnah and its suburbs,
14 Mo Satili mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Esitimoa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
and Jattir and its suburbs, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,
15 Mo Holoni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Tipa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
and Holon and its suburbs, and Debir and its suburbs,
16 Mo ʻAine mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Siuta mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Pete-Semesi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe hiva mei he faʻahinga ni ʻe ua;
and Ain and its suburbs, and Juttah and its suburbs, Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs; nine cities out of these two tribes.
17 Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Penisimani, ko Kipione mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Kepa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its suburbs, Geba and its suburbs,
18 Ko ʻAnatoti mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo ʻAlimoni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe fā.
Anathoth and its suburbs, and Almon and its suburbs — four cities;
19 Ko e ngaahi kolo kotoa pē ʻae fānau ʻa ʻElone, ko e kau taulaʻeiki, ko e kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu mo honau ngaahi tuaʻā kolo.
all the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests, [are] thirteen cities and their suburbs.
20 Pea ko e ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Kohate, ko e kau Livai naʻe toe ʻi he fānau ʻa Kohate, naʻe maʻu ʻekinautolu ʻae ngaahi kolo ko honau tofiʻa mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIfalemi.
And for the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, who are left of the sons of Kohath, even the cities of their lot are of the tribe of Ephraim;
21 He naʻa nau foaki kiate kinautolu ʻa Sikemi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻi he moʻunga ko ʻIfalemi, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate faainoa; mo Kesa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
and they give to them the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Shechem and its suburbs, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its suburbs,
22 Mo Kipisemi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Pete-holoni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe fā.
and Kibzaim and its suburbs, and Beth-Horon and its suburbs — four cities.
23 Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Tani, ko Eliteke mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko Kipitoni mo hono ngaahi tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh and its suburbs, Gibbethon and its suburbs,
24 Ko ʻAsaloni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko Kata-Limoni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe fā.
Aijalon and its suburbs, Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs — four cities.
25 Pea mei hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ko Tenaki mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Kata Limoni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe ua.
And out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs — two cities;
26 Ko e ngaahi kolo kotoa pē mo honau ngaahi tuaʻā kolo ki he ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Kohate naʻe toe, naʻe hongofulu.
all the cities [are] ten and their suburbs, for the families of the sons of Kohath who are left.
27 Pea naʻa nau foaki ki he fānau ʻa Kesoni, ʻi he faʻahinga ʻoe kau Livai, mei hono potu ʻe taha ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ʻa Kolani ʻi Pesani mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate faainoa mo Pesitila mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia ko e kolo ʻe ua.
And for the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Beeshterah and its suburbs — two cities.
28 Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsaka, ʻa Kisoni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Tapilati, mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon and its suburbs, Dabarath and its suburbs,
29 Ko Samuti mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Enikanimi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe fā.
Jarmuth and its suburbs, En-Gannim and its suburbs — four cities.
30 Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo ʻAseli, ko Misali mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo ʻApitoni mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its suburbs, Abdon and its suburbs,
31 Ko Elitaki mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Lehopi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia ko e kolo ʻe fā.
Helkath and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs — four cities.
32 Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Nafitali, ko Ketesi ʻi Kāleli, mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate faainoa; mo Hemoti-Toa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Matani mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe tolu.
And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, and Hammoth-Dor and its suburbs, and Kartan and its suburbs — three cities;
33 Ko e ngaahi kolo ʻoe kau Kesoni ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga, ko e kolo ʻe hongofulu ma tolu mo honau ngaahi tuaʻā kolo.
all the cities of the Gershonite, for their families, [are] thirteen cities and their suburbs.
34 Pea ki he ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Melali, ko hono toe ʻoe kau Livai, naʻe ʻatu mei he faʻahinga ʻo Sepuloni, ʻa Sokiniami mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Kaata mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And for the families of the sons of Merari, the Levites, who are left, [are, ] out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and its suburbs, Kartah and its suburbs,
35 Ko Temina mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Nehala mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe fā.
Dimnah and its suburbs, Nahalal and its suburbs — four cities.
36 Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Lupeni, ko Peseli mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Sehasi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and its suburbs, and Jahazah and its suburbs,
37 Ko Ketimote mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Mefati mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo ʻe fā.
Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs — four cities.
38 Pea mei he faʻahinga ʻo Kata, ko Lemoti ʻi Kiliati mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, ko e kolo hūfanga ki he tāmate fai noa; mo Mehanemi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia,
And out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, and Mahanaim and its suburbs,
39 Ko Hesiponi mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia, mo Sesa mo hono tuaʻā kolo ʻo ia; ko e kolo kotoa pē ʻe fā.
Heshbon and its suburbs, Jazer and its suburbs — [in] all four cities.
40 Ko ia ko e ngaahi kolo naʻe tō ʻi he talotalo ki he fānau ʻa Melali ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga, ʻaia naʻe toe ʻi he ngaahi faʻahinga ʻoe kau Livai, ko e kolo ʻe hongofulu ma ua.
All the cities for the sons of Merari, for their families, who are left of the families of the Levites — their lot is twelve cities.
41 Ko e ngaahi kolo kotoa pē ʻoe kau Livai ʻi he tofiʻa ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli naʻe fāngofulu ma valu mo honau ngaahi tuaʻā kolo.
All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel [are] forty and eight cities, and their suburbs.
42 Naʻe tuʻu ʻae ngaahi kolo ni taki taha mo honau tuaʻā kolo naʻe takatakai: naʻe pehē pe ʻae ngaahi kolo ni kotoa pē.
These cities are each city and its suburbs round about it; so to all these cities.
43 Pea naʻe foaki ʻe Sihova ki ʻIsileli ʻae fonua kotoa pē naʻa ne fuakava ke foaki ki heʻenau ngaahi tamai: pea naʻa nau maʻu ia, ʻo nofo ai.
And Jehovah giveth to Israel the whole of the land which He hath sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;
44 Pea naʻe foaki ʻe Sihova kiate kinautolu ʻae mālōlō ʻi he potu kotoa pē, ʻo fakatatau ki heʻene fuakava ki heʻenau ngaahi tamai: pea naʻe ʻikai ha tangata ʻi honau ngaahi fili kotoa pē naʻe faʻa tuʻu ʻi honau ʻao: naʻe tukuange ʻe Sihova honau ngaahi fili kotoa pē ki honau nima.
and Jehovah giveth rest to them round about, according to all that which He hath sworn to their fathers, and there hath not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, the whole of their enemies hath Jehovah given into their hand;
45 Naʻe ʻikai liʻaki ha meʻa ʻe taha ʻi he meʻa lelei kotoa pē naʻe folofola ki ai ʻa Sihova ki he fale ʻo ʻIsileli; naʻe hoko kotoa pē.
there hath not fallen a thing of all the good thing which Jehovah spake unto the house of Israel — the whole hath come.
