< Selemaia 49 >

1 ‌ʻOku pehē mai ʻe Sihova ki he kau ʻAmoni; “ʻIkai ʻoku maʻu ʻe ʻIsileli ʻae ngaahi foha? ʻIkai ʻoku ai hono hoko? Ko e hā ʻoku maʻu ʻe honau tuʻi ʻa Kata, pea nofo ʻa hono kakai ʻi hono ngaahi kolo?
Of [the] people of Ammon thus he says Yahweh ¿ [do] children not [belong] to Israel or? [does] an heir not [belongs] to it why? has he dispossessed Milcom Gad and people his in cities its has it dwelt?
2 Ko ia, vakai,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “ʻOku hoko mai ʻae ngaahi ʻaho, ʻaia te u fakatupu ai ʻae ongoongo tau ʻi Lapa, ʻi he kau ʻAmoni; pea ʻe hoko ia ko e tuʻunga meʻa liʻaki, pea ʻe fakaʻauha ʻaki ʻae afi ʻa hono ngaahi ʻofefine: pea ʻe toki maʻu ʻe ʻIsileli ʻae nofoʻanga ʻonautolu naʻa nau maʻu hono nofoʻanga,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.
Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will sound aloud against Rabbah of [the] people of Ammon a shout of battle and it will become a mound of desolation and daughters its with fire they will be kindled and it will dispossess Israel [those who] dispossessed it he says Yahweh.
3 “ʻE Hesiponi, ke ke tangi mamahi, he kuo maumauʻi ʻa ʻAi: pea tangi ʻakimoutolu ko e ngaahi ʻofefine ʻo Lapa, mou ʻai ʻae tauangaʻa; pea tangilāulau, pea femaleleaki ki he ngaahi ʻā; koeʻuhi ʻe ʻave fakapōpula ʻa honau tuʻi, mo ʻene kau taulaʻeiki pea mo hono houʻeiki fakataha.
Wail O Heshbon for it has been devastated Ai cry out O daughters of Rabbah gird yourselves sackcloth mourn and run to and fro among the walls for Milcom in exile he will go priests his and officials his together.
4 Ko e hā ʻoku ke polepole ai ʻi he ngaahi teleʻa, ko ho ngaahi teleʻa mahu, ʻE ʻofefine fakaholomui? ʻAia naʻe falala ki heʻene ngaahi koloa, ʻo pehē, ‘Ko hai te ne haʻu kiate au?’
Why? do you boast in the valleys [is] flowing valley your O daughter apostate who trusts in treasures her who? will he come against me.
5 “Vakai,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻoe ngaahi kautau, “Te u ʻomi ʻae ilifia kiate koe, meiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku takatakai koe; pea ʻe kapusi atu ʻakimoutolu ʻae tangata taki taha; pea ʻe ʻikai toe ʻomi ʻe ha taha ʻaia kuo hola.
Here I [am] about to bring on you terror [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh of hosts from all around you and you will be driven away everyone before it and not [one who] gathers together [belongs] to the fugitive.
6 Pea hili ia te u toe ʻomi ʻae fakapōpula ʻoe kakai ʻAmoni, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.”
And after thus I will turn back [the] captivity of [the] people of Ammon [the] utterance of Yahweh.
7 Ko e meʻa ʻoku kau ki ʻItomi: ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau; “ʻIkai ʻoku kei toe ʻae poto ʻi Timani? Kuo ʻosi ʻae fakakaukau ʻi he kau fakapotopoto? Kuo mole ʻenau poto?
Of Edom thus he says Yahweh of hosts ¿ [is] there not still wisdom in Teman has it been lost? counsel from understanding [people] has it been corrupted? wisdom their.
8 Mou hola, ʻo foki mai, ʻalu ki lalo pea nofo, ʻae kakai ʻo Titani; koeʻuhi te u ʻomi kiate ia ʻae tuʻutāmaki ʻo ʻIsoa, ko e ʻaho te u ʻaʻahi ai kiate ia.
Flee be turned back make deep to dwell O inhabitants of Dedan for [the] disaster of Esau I will bring on it a time [when] I will visit it.
If grape gatherers they came to you not will they leave? gleanings if thieves in the night they destroyed sufficiency their.
10 Ka kuo u fakatelefuaʻi ʻa ʻIsoa, kuo u fakaʻilo hono ngaahi toitoiʻanga, pea ʻe ʻikai te ne faʻa fai ke fakafufū ia: kuo maumauʻi hono hoko, pea mo hono kāinga, pea mo hono kaungāʻapi, pea ʻoku ʻikai ia.
For I I will strip bare Esau I will uncover hiding places its and it will hide itself not it will be able it will be devastated offspring its and relatives its and neighbors its and there not [will be] it.
11 Tuku hoʻo fānau tamai mate, te u fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu, pea tuku ke falala kiate au ho kau fefine kuo mate honau husepāniti.
Leave! fatherless your I I will preserve [them] alive and widows your on me let them rely.
12 He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova; Vakai, ko kinautolu naʻe totonu ke ʻoua naʻa nau inu; kuo nau inu moʻoni ki he ipu; pea te ke hao ʻaupito koe ʻi he tautea? ʻE ʻikai te ke hao, ka ko e moʻoni te ke inu ki ai.
For thus - he says Yahweh there! [those] who not sentence their [was] to drink the cup completely they will drink [it] and you he completely will you be exempt from punishment? not you will be exempt from punishment for certainly you will drink [it].
13 He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, kuo u fuakava ʻiate au, ke fakahoko ʻa Posila ko e meʻa fakaofo, mo e ongokovi, mo e liʻaki, pea mo e malaʻia; pea ʻe lala maʻuaipē hono ngaahi kolo.”
For by myself I swear [the] utterance of Yahweh that a waste a reproach a desolation and a curse it will become Bozrah and all cities its they will become ruins of perpetuity.
14 Kuo u fanongo ki he ongoongo meia Sihova, kuo fekau ʻae kau talafekau ki he ngaahi puleʻanga, ʻo pehē, “Mou fakataha ʻakimoutolu, pea haʻu kiate ia, pea mou tuʻu hake ki he tau.
A report I have heard from with Yahweh and an envoy among the nations [has been] sent gather together and come on it and rise up for battle.
15 Vakai, he te u ngaohi koe ke siʻi ʻi he ngaahi puleʻanga; pea ko e fehiʻanekina ʻi he kakai.
For here! small I will make you among the nations despised among humankind.
Horror your it has deceived you [the] arrogance of heart your O dweller in [the] clefts of the rock O occupant of [the] height[s] of a hill for you will make high like eagle nest your from there I will bring down you [the] utterance of Yahweh.
17 Pea ʻe hoko ʻa ʻItomi ko e meʻa liʻaki: pea ʻe fakatumutumu ʻae tangata taki taha ʻoku fononga ofi ki ai! Pea ʻe fakaʻiseʻisa koeʻuhi ko hono ngaahi tautea kotoa pē.
And it will become Edom a horror every [one who] passes by at it he will be appalled and he may hiss on all wounds its.
Like [the] overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and neighbors its he says Yahweh not he will dwell there anyone and not he will sojourn in it a child of humankind.
He ko hai ʻoku tatau mo au? Pe ko hai te ne akonakiʻi au? Pe ko hai ʻae tauhi ko ia te ne faʻa tuʻu ʻi hoku ʻao?
There! like a lion [which] it goes up from [the] thicket[s] of the Jordan to pastureland of an ever-flowing [stream] for I will act in a moment I will cause to run it from on it and whoever [is] chosen to it I will appoint for who? [is] like me and who? will he summon me and who? this [is] a shepherd who he will stand before me.
20 Ko ia fanongo ki he fakakaukau ʻa Sihova ʻaia kuo ne folofola ki ʻItomi; pea mo ʻene tuʻutuʻuni kuo ne tuʻutuʻuni ki he kakai ʻo Timani: ko e moʻoni ʻe taki kituʻa ʻakinautolu ʻe he tokosiʻi pe: ko e moʻoni te ne ngaohi honau nofoʻanga ko e meʻa fakaofo ʻiate kinautolu.
Therefore hear [the] plan of Yahweh which he has planned against Edom and purposes his which he has purposed against [the] inhabitants of Teman if not people will drag away them [the] young [ones] of the flock if not he will devastate on them pastureland their.
21 ‌ʻOku ngalulu ʻae kelekele ʻi he longoaʻa ʻo ʻenau tō, naʻe ongo atu ʻae longoaʻa ʻo ia ʻi he tangi ʻi he Tahi Kulokula.
From [the] sound of falling they it will shake the earth of [the] calling out at [the] sea of reed[s] it will be heard sound its.
22 Vakai, te ne ʻalu hake pea puna ʻo hangē ko e ʻikale, pea mafola hono kapakau ki Posila: pea ʻi he ʻaho ko ia ʻe hoko ʻae loto ʻoe tangata mālohi ʻo ʻItomi ʻo hangē ko e loto ʻoe fefine ʻi heʻene langā.”
There! like eagle someone will ascend and he may swoop down so he may spread out wings his over Bozrah and it will be [the] heart of [the] warriors of Edom on the day that like [the] heart of a woman in labor.
23 Ko e meʻa ʻoku kau ki Tamasikusi. “Kuo puputuʻu ʻa Hamati pea mo ʻAapati: he kuo nau fanongo ki he ngaahi ongoongo kovi: ʻoku vaivai honau loto; kuo fakavai ʻakinautolu ʻi he mamahi ke hangē ko e tahi, ʻaia ʻoku ʻikai ʻaupito malaʻia.
Of Damascus it will be ashamed Hamath and Arpad for new[s] bad they have heard they will melt away [is] in the sea anxiety to be quiet not it will be able.
24 Kuo vaivai ʻa Tamasikusi, kuo tafoki mai ia ke hola, pea kuo moʻua ia ʻi he manavahē: pea kuo maʻu ia ʻe he feinga mo e mamahi, ʻo hangē ko e fefine ʻoku langā.
It will be disheartened Damascus it will turn back to flee and panic - it will take hold distress and pains it will seize it like [woman] giving birth.
25 Ko e hā naʻe ʻikai tuku ai ʻae kolo ongoongolelei, ko e kolo naʻaku fiefia ai?
How! not it has been forsaken a city of (praise *Q(K)*) [the] town of joy my.
26 Ko ia ʻe tō hono kau talavou ʻi hono ngaahi hala, pea ʻe tuʻusi ʻae kau tangata tau kotoa pē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau.
Therefore they will fall young men its in open places its and all [the] men of war they will be silenced in the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts.
27 “Pea te u tutu ʻae afi ʻi he ʻā ʻo Tamasikusi, pea ʻe ʻauha ai ʻae ngaahi fale fakaʻeiʻeiki ʻo Penihatati.”
And I will kindle a fire at [the] wall of Damascus and it will consume [the] fortresses of Ben Hadad.
28 Ko e meʻa ʻoku kau ki Keta, mo e ngaahi puleʻanga ʻo Hasoa, ʻaia ʻe teʻia ʻe Nepukanesa ko e tuʻi ʻo Papilone, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova; “Mou tuʻu, ʻo ʻalu hake ki Keta, pea maumauʻi ʻae kau tangata mei hahake.
Of Kedar - and of [the] kingdoms of Hazor which he attacked (Nebuchadnezzar *Q(K)*) [the] king of Babylon thus he says Yahweh arise go up against Kedar and devastate [the] people of [the] east.
29 Te nau ʻave honau ngaahi fale fehikitaki pea mo ʻenau fanga manu: pea te nau ʻave maʻanautolu ʻae ngaahi puipui, mo ʻenau ngaahi ipu kotoa pē, pea mo ʻenau fanga kāmeli; pea te nau tangi kiate kinautolu ʻo pehē, ʻoku ʻi he potu kotoa pē ʻae manavahē.
Tents their and flock[s] their people will take away tent curtains their and all equipment their and camels their they will carry off for themselves and people will call out to them terror [is] from round about.
30 “ʻAe kakai ʻo Hasoa, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Mou hola ʻo ʻalu mamaʻo, pea nofo māʻulalo; koeʻuhi ko Nepukanesa ko e tuʻi ʻo Papilone, kuo ne fakakaukau ha meʻa kiate kimoutolu, pea tuʻutuʻuni ha meʻa ke fai kiate kimoutolu.
Flee take flight exceedingly make deep to dwell O inhabitants of Hazor [the] utterance of Yahweh that he has planned on you Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon a plan and he has purposed (on you *Q(K)*) a purpose.
31 ‌ʻOku pehē mai ʻe Sihova, ‘Mou tuʻu, pea ʻalu hake ki he kakai ʻoku fakafiemālie, ʻaia ʻoku nofo fakafiemālie, pea ʻoku ʻikai ha ngaahi matapā pe ha ngaahi fakamaʻu, ʻoku nofo taha pe ʻakinautolu.
Arise go up against a nation at ease [which] dwells to security [the] utterance of Yahweh not a pair of gates and not a bar [belong] to it alone they dwell.
32 Pea ʻe vetea ʻa ʻenau fanga kāmeli, pea ʻave mo ʻenau fanga manu lahi: pea te u fakamovetevete ʻakinautolu ki he ngaahi potu kotoa pē, ko kinautolu ʻoku ʻi he ngaahi muileleu mamaʻo; pea te u ʻomi ʻenau mamahi mei he ngaahi potu kotoa pē, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.
And they will become camels their spoil and [the] abundance of livestock their plunder and I will scatter them to every wind [those who] are cut off of [the] corner and from all sides its I will bring disaster their [the] utterance of Yahweh.
And it will become Hazor a habitation of jackals a desolation until perpetuity not he will dwell there anyone and not he will sojourn in it a child of humankind.
34 Ko e folofola ʻa Sihova naʻe hoko kia Selemaia ko e palōfita ki ʻIlami ʻi he kamataʻanga ʻoe pule ʻa Setikia ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta, ʻo pehē,
Which it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam at [the] beginning of [the] reign of Zedekiah [the] king of Judah saying.
35 “ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ‘Vakai, te u fesiʻi ʻae kaufana ʻo ʻIlami, ko honau mālohiʻanga.
Thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to break [the] bow of Elam [the] beginning of strength their.
36 Pea te u ʻomi ki ʻIlami ʻae matangi ʻe fā, mei he ngataʻanga ʻe fā ʻoe langi, pea ʻe fakamovetevete ʻakinautolu ʻi he feituʻu matangi ko ia kotoa pē; pea ʻoku ʻikai ha kakai, ʻe taʻehoko ki ai ʻae kau liʻekina ʻo ʻIlami.
And I will bring against Elam four winds from [the] four [the] ends of the heavens and I will scatter them to all the winds these and not it will be the nation where not it will go there [the] outcasts of (Elam. *Q(K)*)
37 Pea te u fakailifiaʻi ʻa ʻIlami ʻi he ʻao ʻo hono ngaahi fili, pea ʻi he ʻao ʻonautolu ʻoku kumi ki heʻenau moʻui: pea te u ʻomi kiate kinautolu ʻae kovi, ʻio, ko e kakaha ʻo ʻeku tuputāmaki,’ ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova; ‘pea te u ʻomi kiate kinautolu ʻae heletā, kaeʻoua ke u fakaʻauha ʻaupito ʻakinautolu:
And I will shatter Elam (before *LAB(h)*) enemies their and before - [those who] seek life their and I will bring on them - calamity [the] burning of anger my [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will send after them the sword until have made an end of I them.
38 Pea te u fokotuʻu hoku nofoʻanga fakaʻeiʻeiki ʻi ʻIlami, pea fakaʻauha mei ai ʻae tuʻi pea mo e houʻeiki,’ ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.
And I will set throne my in Elam and I will destroy from there king and officials [the] utterance of Yahweh.
39 ‘Ka ʻe hoko ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho fakamui, ʻa ʻeku toe ʻomi ʻae fakapōpula ʻo ʻIlami,’ ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.”
And it will be - at [the] end of the days (I will turn back *Q(K)*) ([the] captivity of *Q(k)*) Elam [the] utterance of Yahweh.
