1 Ko e folofola naʻe hoko meia Sihova kia Selemaia ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ʻo Sihoiakimi ko e foha ʻo Siosaia ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta, ʻo pehē,
The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, in the daies of Joachym, sone of Josie,
2 “ʻAlu ki he fale ʻoe fānau ʻa Lekapi, pea lea kiate kinautolu, pea ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki he fale ʻo Sihova, ki he potu ʻe taha ʻi ʻolunga, pea foaki kiate kinautolu ʻae uaine ke nau inu.”
kyng of Juda, and seide, Go thou to the hous of Recabitis, and speke thou to hem; and thou schalt brynge hem in to the hous of the Lord, in to o chaumbre of tresouris, and thou schalt yyue to hem to drynke wyn.
3 Pea naʻaku toki ʻave ʻa Seasania ko e foha ʻo Selemaia, ko e foha ʻo Hapasinia, mo hono kāinga pea mo hono ngaahi foha kotoa pē, pea mo e fale kotoa pē ʻoe fānau ʻa Lekapi;
And Y took Jeconye, the sone of Jeremye, sone of Absanye, and hise britheren, and alle the sones of hym, and al the hous of Recabitis.
4 Pea ne u ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki he fale ʻo Sihova, ki he potu fale ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻo Hanani, ko e foha ʻo ʻIkitalia, ko e tangata ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku hoko mo e ngaahi potu fale ʻoe houʻeiki, ʻaia naʻe ʻi ʻolunga ʻi he potu ʻo Māseia ko e foha ʻo Salumi, ko e tauhi ʻoe matapā.
And Y ledde hem in to the hous of the Lord, to the treserie of the sones of Eman, sone of Godolie, the man of God; which treserie was bisidis the treserie of princes, aboue the tresour of Maasie, sone of Sellum, that was kepere of the vestiarie.
5 Pea u tuku ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ngaahi foha ʻoe fale ʻoe kau Lekapi ʻae ngaahi ipu kuo pito ʻi he uaine, pea mo e ngaahi ipu, pea naʻaku pehē kiate kinautolu, “Mou inu uaine.”
And Y settide bifore the sones of the hous of Recabitis pecis, and grete cowpis ful of wyn; and Y seide to hem, Drinke ye wyn.
6 Ka naʻa nau pehē mai, “ʻE ʻikai te mau inu uaine: he kuo fekau kiate kimautolu ʻe Sonatapi ko e foha ʻo Lekapi ko ʻemau tamai, ʻo pehē, ‘ʻOua naʻa mou inu uaine, ʻakimoutolu, pe ko homou ngaahi foha ʻo taʻengata.
And thei answeriden, We schulen not drinke wyn; for whi Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, comaundide to vs, and seide, Ye schulen not drinke wyn, ye and youre sones, `til in to withouten ende;
7 Pea ʻoua naʻa mou langa fale, pe tūtuuʻi ʻae tenga, pe tō ha ngoue vaine, pe maʻu ia: ka te mou nofo ʻi he ngaahi fale fehikitaki ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho kotoa pē ʻo hoʻomou moʻui; koeʻuhi ke mou nofo ʻi he ʻaho lahi ʻi he fonua ʻoku mou ʻāunofo ai.’
and ye schulen not bilde an hous, and ye schulen not sowe seed, and ye schulen not plaunte vynes, nether schulen haue, but ye schulen dwelle in tabernaclis in alle youre daies, that ye lyue many daies on the face of erthe, in which ye goen in pilgrymage.
8 Ko ia ʻoku pehē ʻemau talangofua ki he leʻo ʻo Sonatapi ko e foha ʻo Lekapi ko ʻemau tamai ʻi he meʻa kotoa pē naʻa ne fekau ai ʻakimautolu, ke ʻoua naʻa inu uaine ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē ʻo ʻemau moʻui, ʻakimautolu, pe ko homau ngaahi uaifi, pe ko homau ngaahi foha, pe ko homau ngaahi ʻofefine;
Therfor we obeieden to the vois of Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, in alle thingis whiche he comaundide to vs; so that we drunken not wyn in alle oure dayes, we, and oure wymmen, oure sones, and douytris;
9 Pea ke ʻoua naʻa mau langa ʻae ngaahi fale ke nofo ai: pea ʻoua naʻa mau maʻu ʻae ngaahi ngoue vaine, pe ha ngoue, pe ha tenga ke tō:
and we bildiden not housis to dwelle, and we hadden not a vyner, and a feeld, and seed;
10 Ka kuo mau nofo ʻi he ngaahi fale fehikitaki, pea talangofua, pea fai ki he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē kuo fekau kiate kimautolu ʻe Sonatapi ko ʻemau tamai.
but we dwelliden in tabernaclis, and weren obeiynge, and diden bi alle thingis, whiche Jonadab, oure fadir, comaundide to vs.
11 Ka naʻe hoko ia ʻo pehē, ʻi he haʻu ʻa Nepukanesa ko e tuʻi ʻo Papilone ki he fonua, naʻa mau pehē, ‘Haʻu ke tau ʻo ki Selūsalema koeʻuhi ko e manavahē ki he kau tau ʻoe kau Kalitia, pea ko e manavahē ki he kau tau ʻoe kakai Silia: pea ko ia ʻoku mau nofo ai ni ʻi Selūsalema.’”
But whanne Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, hadde stied to this lond, we seiden, Come ye, and entre we in to Jerusalem, fro the face of the oost of Caldeis, and fro the face of the oost of Sirie; and we dwelliden in Jerusalem.
12 Pea naʻe toki hoko ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kia Selemaia, ʻo pehē,
And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye,
13 ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; ‘ʻAlu ʻo tala ki he kau tangata ʻo Siuta mo e kakai ʻo Selūsalema, “ʻE ʻikai te mou maʻu ʻae akonaki ke fanongo ki heʻeku ngaahi lea?” ʻoku pehē mai ʻa Sihova.
and seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Go thou, and seie to the men of Juda, and to the dwelleris of Jerusalem, Whether ye schulen not take techyng, that ye obeie to my wordis, seith the Lord?
14 “Ko e ngaahi lea ʻa Sonatapi ko e foha ʻo Lekapi, ʻaia naʻa ne fekau ki hono ngaahi foha ke ʻoua naʻa nau inu uaine, kuo fakamoʻoni: ʻoku teʻeki te nau inu ʻo aʻu ki he ʻaho ni, ka ʻoku nau talangofua ki he fekau ʻa ʻenau tamai: ka kuo u folofola kiate kimoutolu, ʻo tuʻu hengihengi hake pe ʻo lea; ka naʻe ʻikai te mou tokanga kiate au.
The wordis of Jonadab, sone of Rechab, hadden the maistrie, whiche he comaundide to hise sones, that thei schulden not drynke wyn; and thei drynken not, `til to this dai; for thei obeieden to the comaundement of her fadir; but Y spak to you, and Y roos ful eerli, and spake, and ye obeieden not to me.
15 Pea kuo u fekau foki kiate kimoutolu, ʻa ʻeku kau tamaioʻeiki ko e kau palōfita kotoa pē ʻo tuʻu hengihengi hake pe ʻo fekauʻi ʻakinautolu, ʻo pehē, ‘Mou tafoki ʻae tangata taki taha mei hono hala kovi, pea fakalelei hoʻomou ngaahi faianga, pea ʻoua naʻa mou muimui ki he ngaahi ʻotua kehe ke tauhi ʻakinautolu, pea te mou nofo ʻi he fonua ʻaia kuo u foaki kiate kimoutolu pea mo hoʻomou ngaahi tamai; ka naʻe ʻikai te mou fakafanongo homou telinga, pe tokanga kiate au,
And Y sente to you alle my seruauntis profetis, and Y roos ful eerli, and Y sente, and seide, Be ye conuertid, ech man fro his worste weye, and make ye good youre studies, and nyle ye sue alien goddis, nether worschipe ye hem, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond, which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris; and ye bowiden not youre eere, nether herden me.
16 Koeʻuhi kuo fai ʻe he ngaahi foha ʻo Sonatapi ko e foha ʻo Lekapi ʻae fekau ʻa ʻenau tamai, ʻaia naʻa ne fekau kiate kinautolu; ka ʻoku ʻikai fanongo ʻae kakai ni kiate au:’”
Therfor the sones of Jonadab, sone of Recab, maden stidfast the comaundement of her fadir, which he comaundide to hem; but this puple obeiede not to me.
17 “Ko ia ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; Vakai, te u ʻomi ki Siuta mo e kakai kotoa pē ʻo Selūsalema ʻae kovi kotoa pē kuo u lea ʻaki kiate kinautolu: koeʻuhi naʻaku lea kiate kinautolu, ka naʻe ʻikai te nau fanongo; pea kuo u ui kiate kinautolu, ka naʻe ʻikai te nau tali.”
Therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe on Juda, and on alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem, al the turment which Y spak ayens hem; for Y spak to hem, and thei herden not; Y clepide hem, and thei answeriden not to me.
18 Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Selemaia ki he fale ʻoe kau Lekapi, “ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; ‘Koeʻuhi kuo mou talangofua ki he fekau ʻa Sonatapi ko hoʻomou tamai, pea tauhi ki heʻene tala kotoa pē, pea fai ʻo hangē ko ʻene fekau kotoa pē kiate kimoutolu:’
Forsothe Jeremye seide to the hous of Recabitis, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, For that that ye obeieden to the comaundement of Jonadab, youre fadir, and kepten alle hise comaundementis, and diden alle thingis, whiche he comaundide to you;
19 Ko ia ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; ‘ʻE ʻikai masiva ʻa Sonatapi ko e foha ʻo Lekapi ʻi ha tangata ke tuʻu ʻi hoku ʻao, ʻo taʻengata.’”
therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, A man of the generacioun of Jonadab, sone of Recab, schal not faile stondynge in my siyt in alle daies.
