< Selemaia 25 >

1 Ko e lea naʻe haʻu kia Selemaia ʻoku kau ki he kakai kotoa pē ʻo Siuta ʻi hono fā ʻoe taʻu ʻo Sihoiakimi ko e foha ʻo Siosaia ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta, ko e ʻuluaki taʻu ia ʻo Nepukanesa ko e tuʻi ʻo Papilone;
The word that came to Ieremiah, concerning all the people of Iudah in the fourth yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah that was in the first yeere of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel:
2 ‌ʻAia naʻe lea ʻaki ʻe Selemaia ko e palōfita ki he kakai kotoa pē ʻo Siuta, pea ki he kakai kotoa pē ʻo Selūsalema, ʻo ne pehē,
The which Ieremiah the Prophet spake vnto all the people of Iudah, and to all the inhabitants of Ierusalem, saying,
3 “Talu mei hono hongofulu ma tolu taʻu ʻo Siosaia, ko e foha ʻo ʻAmoni ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta, ʻio, ʻo aʻu ki he ʻaho ni, ʻaia ko hono uofulu ma tolu taʻu eni, kuo haʻu kiate au ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova, pea kuo u lea ʻaki ia kiate kimoutolu, ʻo tuʻu hengihengi hake ʻo lea; ka naʻe ʻikai te mou fanongo.
From the thirteenth yeere of Iosiah the sonne of Amon King of Iudah, euen vnto this day (that is the three and twentieth yeere) the word of the Lord hath come vnto mee, and I haue spoken vnto you rising earely and speaking, but ye woulde not heare.
4 Pea kuo fekau ʻe Sihova kiate kimoutolu kotoa pē ʻa ʻene kau tamaioʻeiki ko e kau palōfita, ʻo tuʻu hengihengi hake ʻo fekau ʻakinautolu: ka kuo ʻikai te mou fanongo, pe fakatokanga homou telinga ke ongoʻi.
And the Lord hath sent vnto you all his seruantes the Prophets, rising early and sending them, but yee would not heare, nor encline your eares to obey.
5 Naʻa nau pehē, Mou taki taha tafoki mei hono hala kovi, pea mei he kovi ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi faianga, pea nofo ʻi he fonua kuo foaki ʻe Sihova kiate kimoutolu pea mo hoʻomou ngaahi tamai, ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata:
They sayde, Turne againe now euery one from his euill way, and from the wickednes of your inuentions, and ye shall dwell in the lande that the Lord hath giuen vnto you, and to your fathers for euer and euer.
6 Pea ʻoua ʻe muimui ki he ngaahi ʻotua kehe ʻo tauhi ʻakinautolu, pe lotu kiate kinautolu, pea ʻoua naʻa mou fakahouhauʻi au ʻaki ʻae ngaahi ngāue ʻa homou nima; pea ʻe ʻikai te u fai ha kovi kiate kimoutolu.
And go not after other gods to serue them and to worshippe them, and prouoke me not to anger with the workes of your hands, and I will not punish you.
7 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, ka ʻoku ʻikai te mou tokanga kiate au, koeʻuhi ʻoku mou fakahouhau kiate au ʻi he ngaahi ngāue ʻa homou nima ke mou kovi ai.”
Neuerthelesse ye would not heare me, saith the Lord, but haue prouoked mee to anger with the workes of your hands to your owne hurt.
8 Ko ia ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau; “Koeʻuhi naʻe ʻikai te mou fanongo ki heʻeku ngaahi lea,
Therefore thus saith the Lord of hostes, Because ye haue not heard my wordes,
9 ‘Vakai, Te u fekau ke fetuku ʻae ngaahi faʻahinga kotoa pē ʻoe tokelau, mo Nepukanesa ko e tuʻi ʻo Papilone, ko ʻeku tamaioʻeiki, pea ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, Te u ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki he fonua ni, pea ki hono kakai, pea ki he ngaahi kakai ʻoku nofo takatakai ai, pea ʻe fakaʻauha ʻaupito ʻakinautolu, pea te u ngaohi ʻakinautolu ko e meʻa fakaʻulia, mo e manukiʻanga, pea mo e fakaʻauha ʻo taʻengata.
Beholde, I will send and take to mee all the families of the North, saith the Lord, and Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and will bring them against this lande, and against the inhabitantes thereof, and against all these nations rounde about, and will destroy them, and make them an astonishment and an hissing, and a continuall desolation.
10 Pea te u toʻo meiate kinautolu ʻae leʻo ʻoe fiefia, pea mo e leʻo ʻoe nekeneka, ʻae leʻo ʻoe tangata taʻane, pea mo e leʻo ʻoe taʻahine, pea mo e ʻuʻulu ʻoe maka momosi, pea mo e ulo ʻoe tūhulu.
Moreouer I will take from them the voyce of mirth and the voyce of gladnesse, the voyce of the bridegrome and the voyce of the bride, the noise of the milstones, and the light of the candle.
11 Pea ʻe hoko ʻae fonua ni kotoa pē ko e fakaʻauha, pea ko e fakailifia; pea ʻe ngāue ʻae kakai ni ki he tuʻi ʻo Papilone ʻi he taʻu ʻe fitungofulu.
And this whole land shalbe desolate, and an astonishment, and these nations shall serue the King of Babel seuentie yeeres.
12 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, ʻoka kakato ʻae taʻu ʻe fitungofulu, te u tautea ʻae tuʻi ʻo Papilone, mo hono kakai: ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, koeʻuhi ko ʻenau kovi, pea mo e fonua ʻoe kau Kalitia, pea te u ngaohi ia ko e fakaʻauha ʻo taʻengata.
And when the seuentie yeres are accomplished, I will visite the King of Babel and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquities, euen the land of the Caldeans, and will make it a perpetuall desolation,
13 Pea te u ʻomi ki he fonua ko ia ʻeku ngaahi lea kotoa pē ʻaia kuo u lea ki ai, ʻio, ko e meʻa kotoa pē kuo tohi ʻi he tohi ni, ʻaia kuo kikite ʻaki ʻe Selemaia ki he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē.
And I will bring vpon that lande all my wordes which I haue pronounced against it, euen all that is written in this booke, which Ieremiah hath prophecied against all nations.
14 Koeʻuhi ʻe pule kiate kinautolu foki ʻae ngaahi kakai, mo e ngaahi tuʻi lahi pea te u ʻatu kiate kinautolu ʻo fakatatau ki heʻenau ngaahi faianga, pea hangē ko e ngaahi ngāue ʻa honau nima.
For many nations, and great Kings shall euen serue themselues of them: thus will I recompense them according to their deedes, and according to the workes of their owne handes.
15 He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli kiate au: “Toʻo mei hoku nima ʻae ipu uaine ʻoe houhau ni, pea ʻatu ia ki he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē, ʻaia te u fekau koe ki ai, ke nau inu ia.
For thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken vnto me, Take the cuppe of wine of this mine indignation at mine hand, and cause all the nations, to whome I sende thee, to drinke it.
16 Pea te nau inu, pea tasipa, pea faha, koeʻuhi ko e heletā te u fekau kiate kinautolu.”
And they shall drinke, and be moued and be mad, because of the sworde that I will sende among them.
17 Pea naʻaku toʻo ʻae ipu mei he nima ʻo Sihova, peau fakainu ʻae ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē, ʻaia naʻe fekau au ki ai ʻe Sihova:
Then tooke I the cup at the Lordes hand, and made all people to drinke, vnto whome the Lord had sent me:
18 Ko Selūsalema, mo e ngaahi kolo ʻo Siuta, pea mo hono ngaahi tuʻi, pea mo hono houʻeiki ke ngaohi ʻakinautolu ko e fakaʻauha, ko e ofoʻanga, ko e manukiʻanga, pea ko e malaʻia; ʻo hangē ko ia kuo hoko he ʻaho ni.
Euen Ierusalem, and the cities of Iudah, and the Kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them desolate, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse, as appeareth this day:
19 Ko Felo ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsipite, mo ʻene kau tamaioʻeiki, mo hono ngaahi houʻeiki, pea mo hono kakai kotoa pē.
Pharaoh also, King of Egypt, and his seruants, and his princes, and all his people:
20 Pea mo e kakai kehekehe kotoa pē, pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻi he fonua ko Usa, pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻi he fonua ʻoe kau Filisitia, mo ʻAsikeloni, mo ʻAsa, mo Ekiloni, pea mo hono toe ʻo ʻAsitoti.
And all sortes of people, and all the Kings of the lande of Vz: and all the Kings of the lande of the Philistims, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod:
21 Ko ʻItomi, mo Moape, pea mo e fonua ʻo ʻAmoni.
Edom, and Moab, and the Ammonites,
22 Pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo Taia, pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo Saitone, pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi ʻoe ngaahi potu ʻi he matātahi,
And all the Kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the Kings of the Yles, that are beyonde the Sea,
23 Ko Titani, mo Tima, mo Pusi, pea mo kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi he ngaahi muileleu mamaʻo,
And Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that dwell in the vttermost corners,
24 Pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo ʻAlepea, pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi ʻoe kakai kehekehe ʻoku nofo ʻi he toafa,
And all the Kings of Arabia, and all the Kings of Arabia, that dwell in the desert,
25 Pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo Simili, pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻo ʻIlami, pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻoe kau Mitea,
And all the Kings of Zimri, and all the Kings of Elam, and all the Kings of the Medes,
26 Pea mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ʻoe tokelau, ʻae ofi mo e mamaʻo ʻo lau fakataha, pea mo e ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻo māmani, ʻoku ʻi he funga ʻoe kelekele: pea ʻe inu fakamuimui ʻiate kinautolu ʻae tuʻi ʻo Sisaki.
And all the Kings of the North, farre and neere one to another, and all the kingdomes of the worlde, which are vpon the earth, and the king of Sheshach shall drinke after them.
27 Ko ia ke ke lea kiate kinautolu, “ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; Mou inu, ke mou konā, mo lua, mo hinga, pea ʻoua naʻa toetuʻu hake, koeʻuhi ko e heletā ʻaia te u fekau kiate kimoutolu.
Therefore say thou vnto them, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Drinke and bee drunken, and spewe and fall, and rise no more, because of the sworde, which I will sende among you.
28 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, kapau ʻe ʻikai te nau fie toʻo ʻae ipu ʻi ho nima ke nau inu, ke ke toki pehē kiate kinautolu, ʻOku pehē mai ʻa Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, Ko e moʻoni te mou inu.
But if they refuse to take the cuppe at thine hande to drinke, then tell them, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Ye shall certainely drinke.
29 He ko eni, Vakai, ʻoku ou ʻomi ni ʻae kovi ki he kolo ʻaia ʻoku ui ʻaki ʻa hoku huafa, pea te mou hao ʻaupito ʻo taʻetautea? ʻE ʻikai tuku taʻetautea ʻakimoutolu: he te u ui ki he heletā ke hoko ki he kakai kotoa pē ʻo māmani, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau.
For loe, I beginne to plague the citie, where my Name is called vpon, and shoulde you goe free? Ye shall not goe quite: for I will call for a sword vpon al the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hostes.
30 “Ko ia ke ke kikite ʻaki kiate kinautolu ʻae ngaahi lea ni kotoa pē, pea tala kiate kinautolu, ‘ʻE mana ʻa Sihova mei ʻolunga, pea ʻe ongo atu hono leʻo mei hono ʻafioʻanga māʻoniʻoni; te ne ngungulu lahi ʻi hono ʻafioʻanga; te ne kalanga ki he kakai kotoa pē ʻo māmani, ʻo hangē ko kinautolu ʻoku malamalaki ki he fua ʻoe vaine.
Therefore prophecie thou against them al these words, and say vnto them, The Lord shall roare from aboue, and thrust out his voyce from his holy habitation: he shall roare vpon his habitation, and crie aloude, as they that presse the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 ‌ʻE ai ʻae longoaʻa mai ʻo aʻu ki he ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻo māmani; he ʻoku fekovikoviʻi ʻa Sihova mo e ngaahi kakai, te ne alea mo e kakano kotoa pē: pea te ne tukuange ʻae angahala ki he heletā, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova.’”
The sounde shall come to the endes of the earth: for the Lord hath a controuersie with the nations, and will enter into iudgement with all flesh, and he will giue them that are wicked, to the sworde, saith the Lord.
32 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, Vakai, ʻe ʻalu atu ʻae kovi mei he kakai, ki he kakai, pea ʻe fakatupu mei he ngataʻanga ʻo māmani ʻae ʻahiohio lahi.
Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Behold, a plague shall goe foorth from nation to nation, and a great whirlewinde shalbe raised vp from the coastes of the earth,
33 Pea ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ʻe tāmateʻi ʻe Sihova mei hono ngataʻanga ʻe taha ʻo māmani ʻo aʻu ki hono ngataʻanga ʻe taha ʻo māmani: pea ʻe ʻikai ha mamahi koeʻuhi ko kinautolu, pea ʻe ʻikai tānaki, pe tanu: ka ʻe hoko ʻakinautolu ko e kinohaʻa ʻi he funga fonua.
And the slaine of the Lord shall be at that day, from one ende of the earth, euen vnto the other ende of the earth: they shall not bee mourned, neither gathered nor buried, but shalbe as the dongue vpon the grounde.
34 Tangi, mo tangilāulau ʻakimoutolu ko e kau tauhi, pea fetafokifokiʻaki ʻakimoutolu ʻi he efuefu, ko kimoutolu ko e tauhi lahi; he kuo hokosia ʻae ngaahi ʻaho ʻo hoʻomou fakamovetevete, pea mo hoʻomou tāmateʻi; pea ʻe maumauʻi ʻakimoutolu ʻo hangē ko e ipu maʻungataʻa.
Howle, ye shepherdes, and crie, and wallowe your selues in the ashes, ye principall of the flocke: for your dayes of slaughter are accomplished, and of your dispersion, and ye shall fall like precious vessels.
35 Pea ʻe ʻikai ha hala ke hola ai ʻae kau tauhi, pe ha haoʻanga ki he tauhi lahi.
And the flight shall faile from the shepherdes, and the escaping from the principall of the flocke.
36 ‌ʻE ongo mai ʻae leʻo ʻoe tangi ʻae kau tauhi, pea mo e tangilāulau ʻae tauhi lahi: he kuo maumauʻi ʻe Sihova ʻenau ngoue.
A voyce of the crye of the shepherdes, and an howling of the principall of the flocke shalbe heard: for the Lord hath destroyed their pasture.
37 Pea kuo tuʻusi ʻae ngaahi nofoʻanga fiemālie koeʻuhi ko e houhau kakaha ʻo Sihova.
And the best pastures are destroyed because of the wrath and indignation of the Lord.
38 Kuo ne liʻaki hono ʻana, ʻo hangē ko e laione: he kuo lala ʻa honau fonua, koeʻuhi ko e ʻita lahi ʻoe fakamālohi, pea koeʻuhi ko e kakaha ʻo hono houhau.
He hath forsaken his couert, as the lyon: for their land is waste, because of the wrath of the oppressor, and because of ye wrath of his indignatio.
