1 Naʻe fakahā [ha meʻa ]kiate au ʻe Sihova, pea vakai, ko e kato fiki ʻe ua naʻe tuku ʻi he ʻao ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova, ʻi he hili hono fetuku fakapōpula ʻe Nepukanesa ko e tuʻi ʻo Papilone ʻa Sekonia ko e foha ʻo Sihoiakimi ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta, pea mo e ngaahi houʻeiki ʻo Siuta, mo e kau tufunga, mo e kau tufunga ukamea, mei Selūsalema, pea ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki Papilone.
The Lord schewide to me, and lo! twei panyeris ful of figys weren set bifor the temple of the Lord, aftir that Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, translatide Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, the kyng of Juda, and the princes of hym, and a sutil crafti man, and a goldsmith fro Jerusalem, and brouyte hem in to Babiloyne.
2 Ko e ngaahi fiki lelei ʻaupito ʻi he kato ʻe taha, ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi fiki ʻoku tomuʻa momoho: pea naʻe ʻi he kato ʻe taha ʻae ngaahi fiki kovi ʻaupito, ʻaia naʻe ʻikai faʻa kai, koeʻuhi ko ʻenau kovi.
And o panyere hadde ful good figis, as figis of the firste tyme ben wont to be; and o panyere hadde ful yuel figis, that miyten not be etun, for tho weren yuel figis.
3 Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Sihova kiate au, “Selemaia, ko e hā ʻoku ke mamata ki ai?” Pea naʻaku pehē, “Ko e ngaahi fiki: ko e ngaahi fiki lelei, ʻoku lelei ʻaupito; pea ko ia ʻoku kovi ʻoku kovi ʻaupito, ʻoku ʻikai faʻa kai, koeʻuhi ko ʻenau kovi.”
And the Lord seide to me, Jeremye, what thing seest thou? And Y seide, Figis, goode figis, ful goode, and yuele figis, ful yuele, that moun not be etun, for tho ben yuele figis.
4 Pea naʻe toe hoko kiate au ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻo pehē,
And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
5 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; “Te u fakaʻilonga pehē ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi fiki lelei, ʻakinautolu ʻo Siuta kuo ʻave fakapōpula, ʻakinautolu kuo u kapusi ʻi he fonua ni ki he fonua ʻoe kau Kalitia koeʻuhi ke nau lelei ai.
and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, As these figis ben goode, so Y schal knowe the transmygracioun of Juda, which I sente out fro this place in to the lond of Caldeis, in to good.
6 He te u fakahanga hoku fofonga kiate kinautolu koeʻuhi ke nau lelei, pea te u toe ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki he fonua ni: pea te u langaʻi ʻakinautolu, pea ʻe ʻikai vete hifo; pea te u tō ʻakinautolu, pea ʻe ʻikai taʻaki ʻakinautolu.
And Y schal sette myn iyen on hem to plese, and Y schal brynge hem ayen in to this lond; and Y schal bilde hem, and Y schal not distrie hem; and Y schal plaunte hem, and Y schal not drawe vp bi the roote.
7 Pea te u foaki kiate kinautolu ha loto ke nau ʻiloʻi au, koeʻuhi ko au ko Sihova: pea te nau hoko ko hoku kakai, pea te u hoko ko honau ʻOtua: he te nau tafoki kiate au ʻaki honau loto kotoa.
And Y schal yyue to hem an herte, that thei knowe me, for Y am the Lord; and thei schulen be in to a puple to me, and Y schal be in to God to hem, for thei schulen turne ayen to me in al her herte.
8 “Pea hangē ko e ngaahi fiki kovi, ʻaia naʻe ʻikai faʻa kai, ko e meʻa ʻi heʻenau kovi; ʻoku pehē moʻoni ʻe Sihova, Te u foaki pehē ʻa Setikia ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta, pea mo hono ngaahi houʻeiki, pea mo hono toe ʻo Selūsalema, ʻaia ʻoku toe ʻi he fonua, pea ko kinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he fonua ko ʻIsipite.
And as the worste figis ben, that moun not be etun, for tho ben yuele figis, the Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal yyue Sedechie, the kyng of Juda, and the princes of hym, and other men of Jerusalem, that dwelliden in this citee, and that dwellen in the lond of Egipt.
9 Pea te u tukuange ʻakinautolu ke ʻave ki he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻo māmani ki he mamahi, mo e fakamā, mo e ongoongo kovi, ko e manukiʻanga mo e malaʻia, ʻi he ngaahi potu kotoa pē ʻaia te u kapusi ʻakinautolu ki ai.
And Y schal yyue hem into trauelyng and turment in alle rewmes of erthe, in to schenschipe, and in to parable, and in to a prouerbe, and in to cursyng, in alle places to whiche Y castide hem out.
10 Pea te u fekau kiate kinautolu ʻae heletā, mo e honge, pea mo e mahaki fakaʻauha, kaeʻoua ke fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu mei he funga fonua ʻaia naʻaku foaki kiate kinautolu mo ʻenau ngaahi tamai.”
And Y schal sende in hem a swerd, and hungur, and pestilence, til thei be wastid fro the lond which Y yaf to hem, and to the fadris of hem.
