1 Ko e meʻa naʻe hā mai kia ʻIsaia koe foha ʻo ʻAmosi, ʻaia naʻa ne mamata ʻoku kau ki Siuta mo Selūsalema ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ʻo ʻUsia, mo Sotame, mo ʻAhasi, pea mo Hesekaia, koe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Siuta.
[the] vision of Isaiah [the] son of Amoz which he saw on Judah and Jerusalem in [the] days of Uzziah Jotham Ahaz Hezekiah [the] kings of Judah.
2 Mou fanongo, ʻae ngaahi langi, pea fakafanongo mo māmani: he ʻoku folofola ʻa Sihova, “Kuo u fafanga mo tauhi ʻae fānau, pea kuo nau angatuʻu kiate au.
Hear O heavens and give ear O earth for Yahweh he has spoken children I have brought up and I have raised and they they have rebelled against me.
3 ‌ʻOku ʻilo ʻe he pulu ʻaia ʻoku ʻaʻana ia, pea mo e ʻasi ʻae fale manu ʻo ʻene ʻeiki: ka ʻoku ʻikai ʻilo ʻe ʻIsileli, ʻoku ʻikai tokanga ʻa hoku kakai.”
It knows an ox owner its and a donkey [the] feeding trough of owner its Israel not it knows people my not it considers carefully.
4 Oiau! ʻAe puleʻanga angakovi, ko e kakai māfasia ʻi he hia, ko e hako fai meʻa kovi, ko e fānau ʻoku fakahala: kuo nau liʻaki ʻa Sihova, kuo nau fakahouhauʻi ʻae tokotaha māʻoniʻoni ʻo ʻIsileli, kuo nau fakaholomui.
Woe to! - a nation [which] sins a people heavy of iniquity of spring [who] do evil children [who] behave corruptly they have forsaken Yahweh they have spurned [the] holy [one] of Israel they have become estranged back part.
5 Ko e hā ʻe toe teʻia ai ʻakimoutolu? ʻE tupulaki pe hoʻomou angatuʻu: ʻoku mahaki ʻae ʻulu kotoa pē, pea vaivai mo e loto kotoa pē.
Concerning what? will you be struck again will you increase? rebellion all [the] head [is] for sickness and all [the] heart [is] faint.
6 Mei he ʻaofi vaʻe ʻo aʻu ki he ʻulu ʻoku ʻikai ha haohaoa ʻi ai; ka ko e lavea, mo e volu, mo e pala kovi: ʻoku teʻeki ai fakamaʻopo, pe nonoʻo, pe feʻauaki ʻae lolo faitoʻo.
From [the] sole of [the] foot and to [the] head there not in it [is] soundness bruise[s] and welt[s] and wound[s] fresh not they have been pressed out and not they have been bound up and not it has been softened with oil.
7 Kuo lala homou fonua, kuo vela homou ngaahi kolo ʻi he afi: pea ko homou fonua, ʻoku kai ʻo ʻosi ʻe he kakai muli ʻi homou ʻao, pea ʻoku lala ia, ʻo hangē kuo fakaʻauha ʻe he kau muli.
Land your [is] a desolation cities your [have been] burned fire ground your to before you strangers [are] devouring it and desolation [is] like [the] overthrow of strangers.
8 Pea kuo tuku ʻae ʻofefine ʻo Saione ʻo hangē ko e fale siʻi ʻi he ngoue vaine, ʻo hangē ko e fale leʻo ʻi he ngoue kukumipa, ʻo hangē ko e kolo kuo kāpui ʻe he tau.
And she has been left [the] daughter of Zion like a shelter in a vineyard like a watchman's hut in a cucumber field like a city besieged.
9 Ka ne ʻikai tuku kiate kitautolu ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau ha tokosiʻi, pehē, kuo tau hangē ko Sotoma, pea kuo tau tatau mo Komola.
If not Yahweh of hosts he had left to us survivor[s] like a little like Sodom we were Gomorrah we were like.
10 Fanongo ki he folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻakimoutolu ʻae kau pule ʻo Sotoma; fakafanongo ki he fono ʻa hotau ʻOtua, ʻakimoutolu ko e kakai ʻo Komola.
Hear [the] word of Yahweh O rulers of Sodom give ear to [the] instruction of God our O people of Gomorrah.
11 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Ko e hā hono ʻaonga ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi feilaulau lahi kiate au? Kuo u fiu ʻi he feilaulau ʻaki ʻae fanga sipitangata, mo e ngako ʻoe manu sino; pea ʻoku ʻikai te u fiemālie ʻi he toto ʻoe fanga pulu, pe ko e fanga lami, pe ko e fanga kosi tangata.
Why? to me [the] multitude of sacrifices your he says Yahweh I have been surfeited burnt offerings of rams and [the] fat of fatlings and [the] blood of bulls and lambs and goats not I am pleased.
12 ‌ʻOka mou ka haʻu ke fakahā ʻakimoutolu ʻi hoku ʻao, ko hai kuo ne fekau ke ʻomi ʻae meʻa ni ʻi homou nima, ke malaki hoku ngaahi potu tapu?
If you come to present yourselves presence my who? did he require this from hand your to trample courts my.
13 ‌ʻOua naʻa toe ʻomi ʻae ngaahi feilaulau taʻeʻaonga; ko e meʻa fakalielia kiate au ʻae tutu ʻoe ʻakau namu lelei; ko e ngaahi māhina foʻou mo e ngaahi ʻaho tapu, mo e ui ke fakataha, ʻoku ʻikai te u faʻa kātaki; pea naʻa mo e fakataha ke lotu ko e angahala ia.
Not you must repeat to bring an offering of worthlessness incense [is] an abomination it to me new moon and sabbath [the] calling of convocation[s] not I am able to endure wickedness and solemn assembli[es].
14 ‌ʻOku fehiʻa ʻa hoku laumālie ki hoʻomou ngaahi māhina foʻou mo hoʻomou ngaahi kātoanga: ko e meʻa fakamamahi ia kiate au; kuo u fiu ʻi hono kātaki.
New moons your and appointed feasts your it hates self my they have become on me a burden I am weary to bear [them].
15 ‌ʻOka mou ka mafao homou nima, te u fufū hoku fofonga ʻiate kimoutolu: ʻio, ʻoka mou ka hū ʻo liunga lahi, ʻe ʻikai te u fanongo: he ʻoku pito homou nima ʻi he toto.
And when spread out you hands your I will hide eyes my from you also for you will multiply prayer not I [will be] hearing hands your blood they are full.
16 “Fufulu ʻakimoutolu, ʻo ngaohi ke mou maʻa; hiki ke mamaʻo meiate au ʻae kovi ʻo hoʻomou faianga; tuku ʻae fai kovi;
Wash cleanse yourselves remove [the] wickedness of deeds your from before eyes my cease to do evil.
17 ‌ʻAko ke mou fai lelei: kumi ki he angatonu, tokoni ʻakinautolu kuo fakamālohia, fakamaau ki he tamai mate, langomakiʻi ʻae fefine kuo mate hono husepāniti.”
learn To do good seek justice set right [the] oppressor vindicate [the] fatherless conduct a case for [the] widow.
18 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Mou haʻu, pea ke tau alea fakataha: he neongo ʻae tatau ʻo hoʻomou angahala mo e kulaʻahoʻaho, ʻe hoko ia ke hinehina ʻo hangē ko e ʻuha hinaekiaki; kapau ʻoku kulokula ia ʻo hangē ko e kulamūmū, ʻe tatau ia mo e fulufuluʻi sipi.
Come please so let us argue our case together he says Yahweh though they are sins your like scarlet like snow they will become white though they are red like crimson like wool they will be.
19 Kapau te mou loto ki ai mo talangofua, te mou kai hono lelei ʻoe fonua:
If you will be willing and you will obey [the] good thing[s] of the land you will eat.
20 Ka ʻi hoʻomou talangataʻa mo angatuʻu, ʻe ʻauha ai ʻakimoutolu ʻi he heletā: he kuo folofola pehē ʻae fofonga ʻo Sihova.”
And if you will refuse and you will rebel [the] sword you will be eaten for [the] mouth of Yahweh it has spoken.
21 Hono ʻikai liliu fau ʻae kolo naʻe angatonu ko e faʻa feʻauaki! Naʻe fonu ia ʻi he fakamaau; naʻe nofo ai ʻae māʻoniʻoni; ka ʻoku ʻi ai ni ʻae kau fakapō.
How! it has become a prostitute a town faithful full of justice righteousness it lodged in it and now murderers.
22 Kuo hoko hoʻo siliva ko e taʻeʻaonga, mo hoʻo uaine kuo huʻi ʻaki ʻae vai:
Silver your it has become dross drink your [has been] mixed with water.
23 ‌ʻOku angatuʻu homou houʻeiki, pea kaumeʻa mo e kau kaihaʻa: ʻoku nau manako kotoa pē ki he ngaahi foaki, ʻonau muimui ki he totongi: ʻoku ʻikai te nau fakamaau ki he tamai mate, pea ʻoku ʻikai aʻu kiate kinautolu ʻae mamahi ʻae fefine kuo mate hono husepāniti.
Leaders your [are] rebels and companions of thieves all of it [is] loving a bribe and [is] pursuing rewards [the] fatherless not they vindicate and [the] lawsuit of a widow not it comes to them.
24 Ko ia ʻoku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki, ko Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e Toko Taha Māfimafi ʻo ʻIsileli, “ʻIo, te u fakafiemālieʻi au ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku angatuʻu mai, pea te u totongi ʻe au ki hoku ngaahi fili.
Therefore [the] utterance of the lord Yahweh of hosts [the] mighty one of Israel woe! I will ease myself from foes my and I will avenge myself from enemies my.
25 Pea ʻe toe ala hoku nima kiate koe, pea fakamaʻa moʻoni hoʻo ʻuli, pea ʻave mo hoʻo kovi kotoa pē:
And I will turn hand my on you so I may refine like potash dross your and I will remove all slag your.
26 Pea te u toe fakanofo hoʻo kau fakamaau ʻo hangē ko ia ʻi muʻa, pea mo hoʻo kau fakakaukau poto ʻo hangē ko ia ʻi he kamataʻanga: pea hili ia ʻe ui koe, ‘Ko e kolo māʻoniʻoni, ko e kolo angatonu.’
And I will restore judges your as at the former [time] and counselors your as at the beginning after thus it will be called to you [the] city of righteousness a town faithful.
27 ‌ʻE huhuʻi ʻa Saione ʻaki ʻae fakamaau, mo ʻene kakai ului ʻaki ʻae māʻoniʻoni.”
Zion with justice it will be redeemed and repentant [ones] its with righteousness.
28 Pea ʻe fakaʻauha fakataha ʻae kau talangataʻa mo e angahala, pea ʻe ʻauha ʻakinautolu ʻoku liʻaki ʻa Sihova.
And a crushing of rebels and sinners together and [those who] forsake Yahweh they will come to an end.
29 He te nau mā ʻi he ngaahi ʻakau naʻa mou holi ki ai, pea te mou puputuʻu ʻi he ngaahi ngoue kuo mou fili.
For they will be ashamed from [the] oaks which you have desired and you may be abashed from the gardens which you have chosen.
30 He te mou tatau mo e ʻakau kuo mae hono lau, pea hangē ko e ngoue ʻoku ʻikai hano vai.
For you will be like an oak [which is] withering leafage its and like a garden which water not [belongs] to it.
31 Pea ʻe tatau ʻae mālohi mo e kākā, pea mo ʻene ngāue ʻo hangē ko e kalofiama, pea te na vela fakataha, pea ʻe ʻikai tāmateʻi ia ʻe ha tokotaha.”
And he will become the strong [person] tow and work his a spark and they will burn both of them together and there not [will be one who] extinguishes.
