< ʻIsaia 62 >
1 Koeʻuhi ko Saione ʻe ʻikai te u fakalongo pe, pea koeʻuhi ko Selūsalema ʻe ʻikai te u mālōlō, kaeʻoua ke ulo atu ʻa ʻene māʻoniʻoni ʻo hangē ko e maama lahi, pea mo ʻene fakamoʻui ʻo hangē ko e maama ʻoku ulo.
For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning lamp.
2 Pea ʻe mamata ʻae ngaahi Senitaile ki hoʻo māʻoniʻoni, mo e ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē ki ho nāunau; pea ʻe ui ʻaki koe ʻae hingoa foʻou, ʻaia ʻe fakahā ʻe he folofola ʻa Sihova.
The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name, which the LORD’s mouth will name.
3 Pea te ke hoko foki ko e tatā ʻoe nāunau ʻi he nima ʻo Sihova, mo e pale fakatuʻi ʻi he nima ʻo ho ʻOtua,
You will also be a crown of beauty in the LORD’s hand, and a royal diadem in your God’s hand.
4 ʻE ʻikai toe ui koe “ko e Liʻaki;” pea ʻe ʻikai toe ui ho fonua “ko e Lala:” ka e ui koe “ko Hefisipa,” mo ho fonua “ko Piula:” he ʻoku fiefia ʻa Sihova ʻiate koe, pea ʻe fai ʻae taʻane ʻi ho fonua.
You will not be called Forsaken any more, nor will your land be called Desolate any more; but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD delights in you, and your land will be married.
5 Hangē ʻoku mali ʻae talavou mo e tāupoʻou, ʻe pehē ʻae mali ho ngaahi foha mo koe: pea hangē ʻoku fiefia ʻae tangata taʻane ʻi he taʻahine, ʻe pehē ʻae fiefia ʻa ho ʻOtua ʻiate koe.
For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you. As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.
6 Kuo u fekau ʻae kau tangata leʻo ki ho ngaahi ʻā, ʻE Selūsalema, pea ʻe ʻikai te nau fakalongo pē ʻi he ʻaho pe ʻi he pō; ko kimoutolu ʻoku fakahā ʻa Sihova, ʻoua ʻe fakalongo pe,
I have set watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem. They will never be silent day nor night. You who call on the LORD, take no rest,
7 Pea ʻoua naʻa tuku kiate ia ha fiemālie, kaeʻoua ke fokotuʻumaʻu ʻe ia ʻa Selūsalema, pea ke ne ngaohi ia ko e ongoongolelei ʻi māmani.
and give him no rest until he establishes, and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
8 Kuo fuakava ʻe Sihova ʻi hono nima toʻomataʻu, pea ʻi he nima ʻo hono mālohi, “Ko e moʻoni ʻe ʻikai te u toe foaki hoʻo uite ko e meʻakai ki ho ngaahi fili; pea ʻe ʻikai inu ʻe he ngaahi foha ʻoe muli ʻi hoʻo uaine, ʻaia kuo ke ngāue ke maʻu:
The LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, “Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies, and foreigners will not drink your new wine, for which you have laboured,
9 Ka ko kinautolu kuo tānaki ia te nau kai ia, pea fakamālō kia Sihova; pea ko kinautolu kuo ʻomi fakataha ia te nau inu ia ʻi he ngaahi loto ʻā ʻo hoku māʻoniʻoni.
but those who have harvested it will eat it, and praise the LORD. Those who have gathered it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.”
10 Hū atu, hū atu ʻi he ngaahi matapā; teuteu ʻae hala ʻoe kakai; fokotuʻu hake, fokotuʻu hake ʻae hala māʻolunga; tānaki mei ai ʻae ngaahi maka; fokotuʻu ʻae fuka maʻa ʻe kakai.
Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way of the people! Build up, build up the highway! Gather out the stones! Lift up a banner for the peoples.
11 Vakai, kuo folofola ʻa Sihova ʻo aʻu ki he ngataʻanga ʻo māmani, “Mou pehē ki he ʻofefine ʻo Saione, ‘Vakai, ʻoku haʻu hoʻo fakamoʻui; vakai, ʻoku ʻiate ia hono totongi, pea ʻi hono ʻao ʻa ʻene ngāue.’”
Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the earth: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your salvation comes! Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him!’”
12 Pea te nau ui ʻakinautolu, “Ko e kakai māʻoniʻoni, Ko e kakai kuo huhuʻi ʻe Sihova:” pea ʻe ui koe, “Ko e ʻofeina, Ko e kolo taʻeliʻaki.”
They will call them “The Holy People, The LORD’s Redeemed”. You will be called “Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken”.
