< ʻIsaia 56 >

1 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Tauhi ʻae fakamaau, pea fai māʻoniʻoni: he ʻoku ofi ʻae haʻu ʻa ʻeku fakamoʻui, pea mo e fakahā ʻo ʻeku māʻoniʻoni.
Thus saith YHWH, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 ‌ʻOku monūʻia ʻae tangata ʻoku fai ʻae meʻa ni, pea mo e foha ʻoe tangata ʻoku puke ki ai; ʻaia ʻoku tauhi ʻae ʻaho tapu taʻefakaʻuli ia, pea ʻoku taʻofi hono nima mei he fai kovi kotoa pē.”
Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Ke ʻoua foki naʻa lea ʻae foha ʻoe muli, ʻaia kuo ne fakahoko ia kia Sihova, ʻo pehē, “Kuo vaheʻi ʻaupito au ʻe Sihova mei hono kakai:” pea ʻoua naʻa pehē ʻe he ʻiunoke, “Vakai, ko e ʻakau mōmoa au.”
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to YHWH, speak, saying, YHWH hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Ki ho ngaahi ʻiunoke ʻoku tauhi ʻeku ngaahi Sāpate, pea ʻoku fili ʻae ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ou fiemālie ai, pea puke ki heʻeku fuakava.
For thus saith YHWH unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 ‌ʻIo, te u foaki kiate kinautolu ʻi hoku fale pea ʻi hoku lotoʻā ha potu, pea mo ha hingoa lelei lahi ʻi he ngaahi foha mo e ngaahi ʻofefine: te u foaki kiate kinautolu ha hingoa taʻengata, ʻaia ʻe ʻikai ʻauha.
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Pea mo e ngaahi foha ʻoe muli, ʻoku fakahoko ʻakinautolu kia Sihova, ke tauhi ia, pea ke ʻofa ki he huafa ʻo Sihova, ke hoko ko ʻeku kau tamaioʻeiki, ko kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku tauhi ʻae ʻaho tapu kae ʻikai fakaʻuli ia, pea ʻoku puke maʻu ki heʻeku fuakava;
Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to YHWH, to serve him, and to love the name of YHWH, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 ‌ʻIo, ko kinautolu te u ʻomi ki hoku moʻunga tapu, pea te u fakafiefiaʻi ʻakinautolu ʻi hoku falelotu: ʻe maʻu ʻi hoku feilaulauʻanga ʻa ʻenau ngaahi feilaulau tutu mo ʻenau ngaahi feilaulau; koeʻuhi ʻe ui hoku fale ko e falelotu ki he kakai fulipē.”
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
8 ‌ʻOku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki ko Sihova, ʻaia ʻoku tānaki ʻae kau liʻaki ʻo ʻIsileli, “Ka te u toe tānaki mo ha niʻihi kiate ia fakataha mo kinautolu kuo u tānaki kiate ia.”
The Master YHWH which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
9 Mou haʻu ke keina, ʻakimoutolu kotoa pē ʻae fanga manu ʻoe ngoue, ʻio, ʻakimoutolu ʻae fanga manu kotoa pē ʻoe vao.
All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.
10 ‌ʻOku kui hono kau tangata leʻo: ʻoku vale kotoa pē, ko e fanga kulī noa ʻakinautolu kotoa pē, ʻoku ʻikai te nau faʻa kalou; ʻoku mohe, pea tokoto hifo, ʻo manako ki he mohe.
His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 ‌ʻIo, ko e fanga kulī ʻuakai, ʻoku ʻikai ʻaupito mākona, pea ko e kau tauhi taʻeʻilo ʻakinautolu: ʻoku nau vakai kotoa pē ki honau hala taki taha, ke maʻu meʻa mei hono potu.
Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
12 ‌ʻOku nau pehē, “Haʻu ʻakimoutolu te u ʻomi ʻae uaine, pea te tau inu ke tau fonu ʻi he inu mālohi; pea ʻe tatau ʻae ʻapongipongi mo e ʻaho ni, pea ʻe lahi hake ia.”
Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
