< ʻIsaia 53 >

1 Ko hai kuo ne tui ki he ʻemau ongoongo? Pea kuo fakahā kia hai ʻae nima ʻo Sihova?
Who? has he believed report our and [the] arm of Yahweh to whom? has it been revealed.
2 He te ne tupu hake ʻi hono ʻao ʻo hangē ko e ʻakau matengofua, pea hangē ko e aka mei he kelekele mōmoa: ʻoku ʻikai ha sino lelei pe ha toulekeleka ʻiate ia, pea ka tau ka mamata kiate ia, ʻoku ʻikai ha fakaʻofoʻofa ke tau manako ai kiate ia.
And he grew up like shoot before him and like root from ground dry not form [belonged] to him and not splendor and we will look at him and not appearance and we will desire him.
3 ‌ʻOku fehiʻanekina ia pea liʻaki ʻe he tangata; ko e tangata ʻoe ngaahi mamahi, pea maheni ai mo e loto mamahi: pea hangē naʻa tau fufū hotau mata meiate ia; kuo manuki ia, pea naʻe ʻikai te tau tokanga kiate ia.
[he was] despised And rejected of people a man of pains and a [man] acquainted of sickness and like a hiding of face from him [he was] despised and not we valued him.
4 Ko e moʻoni kuo ne toʻo kiate ia ʻa ʻetau ngaahi vaivai, ʻo ne fua ʻetau ngaahi mamahi: ka naʻa tau mahalo kuo tautea mo taaʻi ia mei he ʻOtua, pea mamahiʻia.
Nevertheless sicknesses our he he bore and pains our he carried them and we we considered him stricken struck of God and afflicted.
5 Ka naʻe lavea ia koeʻuhi ko ʻetau ngaahi angahala, naʻe fakavolu ia koeʻuhi ko ʻetau ngaahi hia: naʻe ʻiate ia ʻae tautea koeʻuhi ke tau fiemālie; pea ʻi hono ngaahi tā ʻoku tau moʻui ai.
And he [was] pierced from transgressions our [was] crushed from iniquities our [the] chastening of peace our [was] on him and by wound[s] his it was healed to us.
6 Kuo tau hē kotoa pē ʻo hangē ko e fanga sipi; kuo tau afe taki taha kotoa pē ki hono hala; pea kuo hilifaki kiate ia ʻe Sihova ʻae hia ʻatautolu kotoa pē.
All of us like sheep we have gone astray each to own way his we have turned and Yahweh he has caused to touch him [the] iniquity of all of us.
7 Naʻe fakamālohia, pea naʻe mamahi ia, ka naʻe ʻikai te ne mafaʻa hono fofonga: ʻoku tataki ia ʻo hangē ko e lami ke tāmateʻi, pea hangē ko e sipi ʻoku noa ʻi he ʻao ʻoe tangata kosi, pea naʻe ʻikai mafaʻa hono fofonga.
He was oppressed and he [was] afflicted and not he opened mouth his like sheep [which] to the slaughter it is brought and like a ewe [which] before shearers its it is dumb and not he opened mouth his.
8 Naʻe ʻave ia mei he fale fakapōpula, pea mei he fakamaau: pea ko hai te ne fakahā hono tupuʻanga? He naʻe tuʻusi ia mei he fonua ʻoe moʻui: naʻe teʻia ia koeʻuhi ko e angahala ʻa hoku kakai.
From oppression and from judgment he was taken away and generation his who? will he consider for he was cut off from [the] land of living [people] from [the] transgression of people my a wound [belonged] to him.
9 Pea naʻe tuʻutuʻuni hono tanuʻanga mo e kakai angahala, pea fakataha mo e maʻumeʻa ʻi heʻene pekia; koeʻuhi naʻe ʻikai te ne fai kovi, pea naʻe ʻikai ha kākā ʻi hono fofonga.
And someone assigned with wicked [people] grave his and with a rich [person] in death his on not violence he had done and not deceit [was] in mouth his.
10 Ka naʻe finangalo ʻa Sihova ke fakavolu ia; kuo ne tuku kiate ia ʻae mamahi: ʻoka ke ka ngaohi hono laumālie ko e feilaulau koeʻuhi ko e hia, te ne mamata ki hono hako, te ne fakatolotolonga hono ngaahi ʻaho, pea ko e finangalo ʻo Sihova ʻe monūʻia ia ʻi hono nima.
And Yahweh he desired to crush him he made [him] sick if it will make a guilt offering self his he will see offspring he will prolong days and [the] pleasure of Yahweh in hand his it will prosper.
11 He te ne vakai ki he fua ʻoe mamahi lahi ʻo hono laumālie, pea fiemālie ai ia: ʻi he ʻilo kiate ia ʻe fakatonuhia ʻe heʻeku tamaioʻeiki māʻoniʻoni ʻae tokolahi; he te ne fua ʻenau ngaahi hia.
From [the] labor of self his he will see he will be satisfied by knowledge his he will justify [the] righteous [one] servant my to many [people] and iniquities their he he will bear.
Therefore I will allot a portion to him among the many [people] and with mighty [people] he will apportion [the] plunder because that he poured out to death life his and with transgressors he was numbered and he [the] sin of many [people] he bore and for the transgressors he will make entreaty.
