< ʻIsaia 35 >
1 ʻE fiefia ʻae toafa mo e potu lala koeʻuhi ko kinautolu, pea ʻe fiefia ʻae potu liʻaki, pea fisi ʻo hangē ko e lose.
The desert and the wildernes shall reioyce: and the waste ground shalbe glad and florish as the rose.
2 ʻE fisi lahi ia, pea fiefia ʻi he fiefia mo e hiva: ʻe foaki ki ai ʻae nāunau ʻo Lepanoni, ko e lelei ʻo Kameli mo Saloni: te nau mamata ki he nāunau ʻo Sihova, mo e lelei lahi ʻo hotau ʻOtua.
It shall florish abundantly and shall greatly reioyce also and ioye: the glory of Lebanon shalbe giuen vnto it: the beautie of Carmel, and of Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellencie of our God.
3 Mou tokoni ki he nima vaivai, pea poupou ʻae tui ʻoku fengataliʻaki.
Strengthen the weake handes, and comfort the feeble knees.
4 Ke ke pehē kiate kinautolu ʻoku loto manavasiʻi, “Ke mou mālohi, ʻoua ʻe manavahē: vakai, ʻe hāʻele mai homou ʻOtua mo e tautea, ʻio, ʻae ʻOtua ʻaki ʻae totongi; te ne hāʻele mai ʻo fakamoʻui ʻakimoutolu.”
Say vnto them that are fearefull, Bee you strong, feare not: beholde, your God commeth with vengeance: euen God with a recompense, he will come and saue you.
5 Pea ʻe toki fakaʻā ʻae mata ʻoe kui, pea ʻe fakaava mo e telinga ʻoe tuli.
Then shall the eyes of the blinde be lightened, and the eares of the deafe be opened.
6 Pea ʻe toki hopohopo ʻae tangata ketu ʻo hangē ko e hainite, pea ʻe hiva ʻae ʻelelo ʻoe noa: koeʻuhi ʻe tupu ʻi he toafa ʻae ngaahi vai, mo e ngaahi vaitafe ʻi he potu lala.
Then shall ye lame man leape as an hart, and the dumme mans tongue shall sing: for in the wildernes shall waters breake out, and riuers in ye desert.
7 Pea ʻe hoko ʻae kelekele mōmoa ko e anovai, mo e fonua fieinu ko e ngaahi matavai: pea ko e nofoʻanga ʻoe fanga talākoni, ʻi he potu naʻe taki taha tokoto ai, ʻe tupu ai ʻae mohuku mo e kaho mo e mohuku ʻoe ano.
And the dry ground shalbe as a poole, and the thirstie (as springs of water in the habitation of dragons: where they lay) shall be a place for reedes and rushes.
8 Pea ʻe ʻi ai ʻae hala motuʻa, pea mo e hala, pea ʻe ui ia ‘Ko e Hala ʻoe Māʻoniʻoni;’ ʻe ʻikai ʻalu ai ʻae taʻemaʻa; ka e tuku ia kiate kinautolu ni: pea neongo ko e vale ʻae kakai fononga ʻe ʻikai te nau hē ai.
And there shalbe a path and a way, and the way shalbe called holy: the polluted shall not passe by it: for he shalbe with them, and walke in the way, and the fooles shall not erre.
9 ʻE ʻikai ʻi ai ha laione, pea ʻe ʻikai ʻalu hake ki ai ha manu fekai, ʻe ʻikai ʻilo ia ʻi ai; ka ʻe ʻeveʻeva ai ʻae kakai kuo huhuʻi:
There shall be no lyon, nor noysome beastes shall ascend by it, neither shall they be found there, that the redeemed may walke.
10 Pea ʻe foki mai ʻae kakai kuo huhuʻi ʻe Sihova, ʻo haʻu ki Saione mo e ngaahi hiva, mo e fiefia taʻengata ʻi honau ʻulu: te nau maʻu ʻae fiefia mo e nekeneka, pea ʻe puna atu ʻae mamahi mo e toʻe.”
Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall returne and come to Zion with prayse: and euerlasting ioy shall bee vpon their heads: they shall obteine ioye and gladnesse, and sorow and mourning shall flee away.
