< ʻIsaia 28 >
1 Malaʻia ki he tatā ʻoe laukau, ki he kau konā ʻo ʻIfalemi, ʻakinautolu ʻoku hangē ko e fisiʻiʻakau mae ʻa ʻenau toulekeleka ongoongolelei! Kiate kinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he ʻulu ʻoe vanu kelekele moʻui ʻonautolu ʻoku konā ʻi he uaine!
Woe to! [the] crown of pride of [the] drunkards of Ephraim and a flower withering [the] beauty of splendor its which [is] on [the] head of a valley of fatness [those] struck down of wine.
2 Vakai, ʻoku ʻi he ʻEiki ha tokotaha māfimafi mo mālohi, ʻo hangē ko e taufa ʻuha maka, ʻo hangē ko e afā fulikele, ʻo hangē ko e tafe hifo ʻae ngaahi vai lahi ʻoku tafe mālohi, te ne tā hifo ki he kelekele ʻaki hono nima.
There! a mighty [one] and a strong [one] [belongs] to [the] Lord like a storm of hail a tempest of destruction like a storm of water mighty overflowing he will thrust [it] down to the ground with a hand.
3 Ko e tatā ʻoe laukau, ʻae kakai konā ʻo ʻIfalemi, ʻe molomoloki ʻi he lalo vaʻe:
With feet they will be trampled [the] crown of pride of [the] drunkards of Ephraim.
4 Pea ko e toulekeleka ongoongolelei, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he ʻulu ʻoe vanu kelekele moʻui, ʻe hoko ia ko e fisiʻiʻakau mae, pea hangē ko e fua tupu vave ʻi he teʻeki hoko ʻae faʻahitaʻu mafana: ʻaia ʻoku toli leva ʻe ia ʻoku mamata ki ai, pea ʻi heʻene ʻi hono nima ʻoku ne kai leva ia ʻo ʻosi.
And it will be a flower withering [the] beauty of splendor its which [is] on [the] head of a valley of fatness like an early fig before summer which he will see the [one who] sees it while still it [is] in hand his he will swallow it.
5 ʻI he ʻaho ko ia ʻe hoko ʻa Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau ko e tatā ongoongolelei, pea ko e pale fakasanisani, ki hono toe ʻo hono kakai,
In the day that he will become Yahweh of hosts a crown of beauty and a diadem of splendor for [the] remnant of people his.
6 Pea ko e laumālie ʻoe fakamaau kiate ia ʻoku nofo ke fakamaau, pea ko e mālohi kiate kinautolu ʻoku fakafoki ʻae tau ki he matapā.
And a spirit of justice for the [one who] sits on judgment and strength [those who] turn back battle [the] gate towards.
7 Ka kuo nau hē ʻi he uaine, pea koeʻuhi ko e inu mālohi kuo nau hē mei he hala; kuo hē ʻae taulaʻeiki pea mo e palōfita ʻi he inu mālohi, ʻoku nau moʻua ki he uaine, kuo nau hē mei he hala ko e meʻa ʻi he inu mālohi; ʻoku ninimo honau mata, ʻoku nau humu ʻi he fakamaau.
And also these with wine they reeled and with strong drink they staggered priest and prophet they reeled with strong drink they were confused from wine they staggered from strong drink they reeled in the vision they tottered decision.
8 He ʻoku fonu ʻae ngaahi keinangaʻanga kotoa pē ʻi he lua mo e fakalielia, ko ia ʻoku ʻikai ha potu ʻoku maʻa.
For all [the] tables they are full vomit filth not room.
9 Te ne ako kia hai ʻae ʻilo? Pea ko hai te ne akonakiʻi ke ne ʻilo ʻa ʻene akonaki? Ko kinautolu kuo fakamavae mei he huʻahuhu, pea kuo toʻo mei he huhu.
Whom? will he teach knowledge and whom? will he make understand [the] message [those] weaned from milk [ones] removed from breasts.
10 He kuo ʻai ʻae fekau ki he fekau, ʻae fekau ki he fekau; ʻae ʻotu lea ki he ʻotu lea, ʻae ʻotu lea ki he ʻotu lea; ko e siʻi ʻi heni pea siʻi ʻi hena:
For command to [the] command command to [the] command line to [the] line line to [the] line a little there a little there.
11 He te ne lea moʻoni ʻaki ki he kakai ni ʻae loungutu fakaleʻoleʻovale pea mo e ʻelelo kehe.
For by stammerings of lip and by a tongue another he will speak to the people this.
12 ʻAia naʻa ne pehē kiate kinautolu, Ko eni ʻae mālōlō te ke fakamālōlō ʻaki ʻae kakai ongosia; pea ko eni ʻae fakafiemālie; ka naʻa nau fakaongotuli.
Whom - he said to them this [is] the resting place give rest to the weary and this [is] the place of rest and not they were willing to listen.
13 Ka naʻe ʻiate kinautolu ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova ko e fekau ki he fekau, ko e fekau ki he fekau; ko e ʻotu lea ki he ʻotu lea, ko e ʻotu lea ki he ʻotu lea; ko e siʻi ʻi heni, pea siʻi ʻi hena; koeʻuhi ke nau ʻalu ai, pea hinga fakaholomui, pea mafesifesi pea tauheleʻi, pea moʻua ai ʻakinautolu.
And it will be to them [the] word of Yahweh command to [the] command command to [the] command line to [the] line line to [the] line a little there a little there so that they may go and they will stumble backwards and they will be broken and they will be ensnared and they will be captured.
14 Ko ia mou fanongo ki he folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻakimoutolu ʻae kau tangata paetaku ʻoku pule ʻae kakai ni ʻoku ʻi Selūsalema.
Therefore hear [the] word of Yahweh O people of mockery O rulers of the people this who [are] in Jerusalem.
15 Koeʻuhi kuo mou pehē, “Kuo mau fuakava mo e mate, pea kuo mau feʻofoʻofani mo heli; ʻoka hā mai ʻae tautea fakaʻauha, ʻe ʻikai aʻu mai ia kiate kimautolu: he kuo mau hūfanga ʻaki ʻae loi, pea kuo mau fufū ʻakimautolu ʻi he kākā:” (Sheol )
For you have said we have made a covenant with death and with Sheol we have made an agreement (a scourge *Q(K)*) overflowing if (it will pass by *Q(K)*) not it will come to us for we have made falsehood refuge our and in deception we have hidden ourselves. (Sheol )
16 Ko ia ʻoku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki ko Sihova, “Vakai, ʻoku ou ʻai ʻi Saione ʻae maka tuʻunga; ʻae maka kuo ʻahiʻahiʻi, ko e fungani maka tuliki, ko e tuʻunga maʻu: ko ia ʻoku tui kiate ia ʻe ʻikai puputuʻu ia.
Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh here I he has laid in Zion a stone a stone of testing a corner of preciousness of a foundation founded the [one who] trusts not he will make haste.
17 Te u ʻai foki ʻae fakamaau ki he afo fua, mo e māʻoniʻoni ki he meʻa fakatotonu: pea ko e ʻuha maka te ne tafi ke mole ʻae hūfanga ʻoe loi, pea ʻe lōmakiʻi ʻe he ngaahi vai ʻae toitoiʻanga.
And I will make justice a measuring-line and righteousness a leveling tool and it will sweep away hail [the] refuge of falsehood and [the] shelter waters they will overflow.
18 “Pea ʻe maumauʻi hoʻomou fuakava mo e mate, pea ʻe ʻikai tuʻu homou loto taha mo heli; ʻoka hā mai ʻae tautea fakaʻauha, ʻe toki malaki hifo ai ʻakimoutolu. (Sheol )
And it will be annulled covenant your with death and agreement your with Sheol not it will stand a scourge overflowing if it will pass by and you will become for it a trampling place. (Sheol )
19 Pea ʻi heʻene hā atu te mou moʻua ai; he te ne ʻalu atu ʻi he pongipongi mo e pongipongi, ʻio, ʻi he ʻaho mo e pō: pea naʻa mo ʻene ʻuʻulu mai pe ʻe tupu ai ʻae ilifia.
As often as passes by it it will take you for in the morning in the morning it will pass by in the day and in the night and it will be only terror to understand [the] message.
20 He ʻoku nounou ʻae mohenga ki he tokoto ʻi ai: pea ʻoku lausiʻi ʻae kafu ke ne fakakafu ʻaki ia.
For it is [too] short the bed for stretching oneself and the blanket it is narrow when wraps oneself up.
21 ʻE tuʻu hake ʻa Sihova ʻo hangē ko ʻene ʻi he moʻunga ko Pilasimi, te ne houhau ʻo hangē ko ia ʻi he teleʻa ʻo Kipione, koeʻuhi ke ne fai ʻene ngāue, ʻa ʻene ngāue fakaofo; ke ne fakahoko ʻa ʻene ngāue, ko ʻene ngāue foʻou.
For like [the] mountain of Perazim he will arise Yahweh like a valley in Gibeon he will rage to do deed his [is] strange deed his and to work work his [is] alien work his.
22 Ko ia ke ʻoua naʻa mou manuki, telia naʻa ngaohi homou haʻi ke mālohi: he kuo u fanongo ʻi he ʻEiki ko Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ʻe fai ʻae fakaʻauha, ʻio, kuo tuʻutuʻuni ki māmani kotoa pē.
And therefore may not you show yourself a mocker lest they should become strong fetters your for complete destruction and [what] has been decided I have heard from with [the] Lord Yahweh of hosts on all the land.
23 “Mou fakatokanga, pea fanongo ki hoku leʻo; fanongo, pea fakaongo ki heʻeku lea.
Give ear and hear voice my pay attention and hear utterance my.
24 He ʻoku fakahinohino ʻae huo toho ʻe he tangata kelingoue ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē ke tūtuuʻi? ʻOku ne langaʻi pea fakamolū ʻae ngaahi konga ʻoe kelekele?
¿ All the day does he plow the plowman to sow does he loosen? and he may harrow? land his.
25 ʻOka fakamolemole ʻae funga ʻo ia, ʻikai ʻoku ne tūtuuʻi mamaʻo ʻae ngaahi tili, pea tūtuuʻi ʻae kumino, pea ai mo e uite lelei, mo e paʻale kuo tuʻutuʻuni, pea mo e lae ʻi honau potu?
¿ Not if he has leveled surface its and does he scatter black cumin and cumin does he sprinkle? and does he put? wheat a row and barley an appointed [place] and spelt territory its.
26 He ʻoku ako ia ke poto ʻe hono ʻOtua, pea ʻoku ne akonakiʻi ia.
And he instructs him to judgment God his he teaches him.
27 He ʻoku ʻikai haha ʻae tili ʻaki ʻae meʻa haha, pea ʻoku ʻikai fakatakamilo ʻae saliote ki he kumino; ka ʻoku tā ke ngangana ʻae tili ʻaki ʻae ʻakau, pea mo e kumino ʻaki ʻae tokotoko.
That not with threshing sledge it is threshed black cumin and a wheel of a cart over cumin it is turned for with staff it is beaten out black cumin and cumin with rod.
28 ʻOku fakavolu ʻae uite ki he mā koeʻuhi ʻoku ʻikai te ne fie haha maʻuaipē ia, pe momosi ia ʻaki ʻae teka ʻo hono saliote, pe fakavolu ia ʻaki hono kau tangata heka hoosi.
Bread it is crushed for not to perpetuity certainly anyone threshes it and he sets in motion [the] wheel of cart his and horses his not he crushes it.
29 ʻOku haʻu foki eni meia Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ʻaia ʻoku fakamanavahē ʻi he fakahinohino, pea lelei lahi ʻi he ngāue.”
Also this from with Yahweh of hosts it has gone out he has made wonderful counsel he has made great sound wisdom.
