< ʻIsaia 27 >
1 ʻI he ʻaho ko ia ʻe tautea ʻe Sihova ʻae levaiatani ko e ngata mālohi, ʻaki ʻene heletā māsila mo lahi mo mālohi, ʻio, ʻae levaiatani ko e ngata pikopiko; pea te ne tāmateʻi mo e talākoni ʻoku ʻi he tahi.
In that day, the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan, the fleeing serpent, and leviathan, the twisted serpent; and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.
2 ʻI he ʻaho ko ia mou hiva kiate ia, ko e ngoue vaine ʻoe uaine kulokula.
In that day, sing to her, “A pleasant vineyard!
3 “Ko au ko Sihova ʻoku ou tauhi ia: te u fakaviviku ia ʻi he kuonga kotoa pē: telia naʻa maumauʻi ia ʻe ha taha, te u tauhi ia ʻi he ʻaho mo e pō.
I, the LORD, am its keeper. I will water it every moment. Lest anyone damage it, I will keep it night and day.
4 ʻOku ʻikai ʻiate au ʻae houhau: ko hai te ne fokotuʻu kiate au ʻae ngaahi ʻakau talatala mo e talatalaʻāmoa ʻi he tau? Te u ʻalu ʻo ʻasi ʻiate kinautolu, te u tutu fakataha ʻakinautolu.
Wrath is not in me, but if I should find briers and thorns, I would do battle! I would march on them and I would burn them together.
5 Tuku ke ne puke mai ki hoku mālohi, koeʻuhi ke ne fakalelei mo au pea te ne fakalelei mo au.”
Or else let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me. Let him make peace with me.”
6 Te ne ngaohi ke aka ʻakinautolu ʻoku haʻu ia Sēkope: ʻe fisi mo moto ʻa ʻIsileli, pea fakafonu ʻae funga ʻo māmani ʻaki ʻae fua.
In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bud. They will fill the surface of the world with fruit.
7 Kuo ne taaʻi ia, ʻo hangē ko ʻene taaʻi ʻakinautolu naʻe taaʻi ia? Pea kuo tāmateʻi ia ʻo hangē ko e tāmateʻi ʻakinautolu kuo tāmateʻi ʻiate ia?
Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or are they killed like those who killed them were killed?
8 ʻI hoʻo fekau atu ia naʻa ke fuofua kiate ia ʻae fakamaau: ʻoku ne taʻofi ʻa ʻene afā ʻi he ʻaho ʻoe matangi hahake.
In measure, when you send them away, you contend with them. He has removed them with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.
9 Ko ia ko e meʻa ni ʻe fakamaʻa ai ʻae hia ʻa Sēkope; pea te ne maʻu ʻae fua kotoa pē ke ʻave ʻene angahala; ʻoka ngaohi ʻe ia ʻae ngaahi maka kotoa pē ʻoe ʻesifeilaulauʻanga ke hangē ko e ngaahi maka hinehina ʻaia kuo momosi, ʻe ʻikai tuʻu ki ʻolunga ai ʻae ngaahi ʻakau fakamalumalu mo e ngaahi tamapua.
Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherah poles and the incense altars shall rise no more.
10 Ka e lala ʻae kolo kuo teuteu ki he tau, ʻe liʻaki ʻae nofoʻanga, pea ʻe tuku ia ʻo hangē ko e toafa: ʻe kai ai ʻae pulu mui, pea te ne tokoto ʻi ai, ʻo ne keina ʻae ngaahi vaʻa litolito ʻi ai.
For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness. The calf will feed there, and there he will lie down, and consume its branches.
When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.
12 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ʻe lohuʻi ʻe Sihova hono ngaahi fua, [ʻo fai ]mei he tafeʻanga ʻoe ngaahi vaitafe ʻo aʻu ki he vaitafe ʻo ʻIsipite, pea ʻe tānaki ʻakimoutolu ʻo tautau tokotaha, ʻakimoutolu ko e fānau ʻo ʻIsileli.
It will happen in that day that the LORD will thresh from the flowing stream of the Euphrates to the brook of Egypt; and you will be gathered one by one, children of Israel.
13 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ʻe ifi ʻae meʻa lea lahi, pea ʻe haʻu ʻakinautolu naʻe meimei mate ʻi ʻAsilia, pea mo e kau ʻāuhē ʻi he fonua ko ʻIsipite, pea ʻe lotu kia Sihova ʻi he moʻunga tapu ʻi Selūsalema.
It will happen in that day that a great trumpet will be blown; and those who were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and those who were outcasts in the land of Egypt, shall come; and they will worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
