< ʻIsaia 24 >
1 Vakai, ʻoku fakamaha ʻe Sihova ʻae fonua, mo fakalala ia, mo ne fulihi ia, pea fakamovetevete ʻa hono kakai.
Here! Yahweh [is] about to lay waste the earth and [is] about to devastate it and he will twist surface its and he will scatter inhabitants its.
2 Pea ʻe pehē pe, hangē ko ia ʻoku ʻi he kakai, ʻe pehē pe ki he taulaʻeiki; hangē ko e tamaioʻeiki, ʻe pehē pe ki heʻene ʻeiki; hangē ko e kaunanga, ʻe pehē pe ki heʻene ʻeiki fefine; hangē ko e tangata fakatau mai, ʻe pehē pe ki he tangata fakatau atu; hangē ko ia ʻoku tali ʻae nono, ʻe pehē pe ki he tangata kole; hangē ko ia ʻoku ʻi he tangata maʻu totongi nō paʻanga, ʻe pehē ʻi he tangata ʻoku ʻatu ʻae totongi nō paʻanga kiate ia.
And it will be as the people as the priest as the servant as master his as the maidservant as mistress her as the buyer as the seller as the lender as the borrower as the creditor as [the one] who a creditor [is] in him.
3 ʻE fakamaha ʻaupito ʻae fonua, pea fakaʻauha ia: he kuo folofolaʻaki ʻe Sihova ʻae folofola ni.
Certainly - it will be laid waste the earth and certainly - it will be plundered for Yahweh he has spoken the word this.
4 ʻOku mamahi ʻae fonua pea mae ia, ʻoku vaivai ʻa māmani pea ʻoku mae, ʻoku vaivai ʻae kakai fieʻeiki ʻoe fonua.
It has dried up it has withered the earth it has languished it has withered [the] world they have languished [the] noble[s] of [the] people of the earth.
5 Kuo ʻuliʻi foki ʻae fonua ʻi hono kakai; koeʻuhi kuo nau maumauʻi ʻae ngaahi fono, ʻo liliu ʻae tuʻutuʻuni, ʻo maumauʻi ʻae fuakava taʻengata.
And the earth it has been polluted under inhabitants its for they have transgressed laws they have overstepped [the] decree they have broken [the] covenant of perpetuity.
6 Ko ia kuo ʻauha ai ʻae fonua ʻi he malaʻia, pea ko kinautolu ʻoku nofo ai ʻoku nau mamahi: ko ia kuo tutu ai ʻae kakai ʻo māmani, pea ʻoku toe ʻae tangata tokosiʻi pe.
There-fore a curse it has consumed [the] earth and they have been held guilty [the] inhabitants in it there-fore they have diminished [the] inhabitants of [the] earth and it will be left humankind of smallness.
7 ʻOku mamahi ʻae uaine foʻou, ʻoku vaivai ʻae vaine, ʻoku toʻe ʻakinautolu kotoa pē naʻe loto fiefia.
It has dried up new wine it has languished [the] vine they have groaned all [the people] joyful of heart.
8 Kuo ngata ʻae fakafiefia ʻoe ngaahi lali, kuo ʻosi ʻae longoaʻa ʻokinautolu naʻe fiefia, kuo ngata ʻae fakafiefia ʻoe haʻape.
It has ceased [the] gaiety of tambourines it has stopped [the] uproar of jubilant [people] it has ceased [the] gaiety of [the] harp.
9 ʻE ʻikai te nau kei inu uaine mo e hiva; ʻe kona ʻae kava mālohi kiate kinautolu ʻoku inu ia.
With song not people will drink wine it will be bitter strong drink to [those who] drink it.
10 Kuo maumauʻi hifo ʻae kolo ʻoe maveuveu: kuo tāpuni ʻae ngaahi fale kotoa pē, koeʻuhi ke ʻoua naʻa hū ki ai ha tangata.
It has been broken [the] town of formlessness it has been shut up every house from entering.
11 ʻOku ai ʻae tangi ki he uaine ʻi he ngaahi hala; kuo fakapoʻuli ʻae fiefia kotoa pē, kuo mole ʻae fiefia ʻi he fonua.
An outcry on wine [will be] in the streets it has become evening all gladness it has departed [the] gaiety of the earth.
12 Kuo tuku ʻi he kolo ʻae fakaʻauha, pea kuo taaʻi ke lailai hono ngaahi matapā.
It has remained in the city desolation and ruin it will be crushed [the] gate.
13 ʻOku hoko ʻo pehē ki he kakai ʻoe loto fonua, ʻe ai ʻo hangē ko e lulululu ʻoe ʻakau ko e ʻolive, pea hangē ko e toenga kālepi ʻoka hili hono tānaki mei he vaine.
For thus it will be in [the] midst of the earth in among the peoples like [the] beating of an olive tree like gleanings if it has come to an end [the] grape harvest.
14 Te nau hiki hake honau leʻo, te nau hiva koeʻuhi ko e māʻolunga ʻa Sihova, te nau kalanga mei he tahi.
They they will lift up voice their they will shout for joy in [the] majesty of Yahweh they will cry aloud from [the] west.
15 Ko ia ke mou fakaongoongoleleiʻi ʻa Sihova ʻi he ngaahi afi, ʻio, ʻae huafa ʻo Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli ʻi he ngaahi ʻotu motu ʻoe tahi.
There-fore in the east glorify Yahweh in [the] islands of the sea [the] name of Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
16 Kuo mau fanongo ki he ngaahi hiva mei he ngataʻanga ʻo māmani, ʻio, ko e fakaongolelei ki he māʻoniʻoni. Ka naʻaku pehē, ʻA ʻeku tutue, ʻa ʻeku tutue; ʻe malaʻia au! Kuo fai kākā ʻae kau fai taʻetotonu; ʻio, kuo fai kākā lahi ʻaupito ʻae kakai fai taʻetotonu.
From [the] extremity of the earth songs we have heard splendor [belongs] to the righteous [one] and I said leanness [belongs] to me leanness [belongs] to me woe! to me [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously and treachery [those who] act treacherously they act treacherously.
17 ʻOku ʻiate koe ʻae ilifia, mo e luo, pea mo e tauhele, ʻa koe ʻoku nofo ʻi māmani.
Dread and pit and snare [are] on you O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, ko ia ʻoku hola mei he longoaʻa ʻoe ilifia ʻe tō ki he luo; pea ko ia ʻoku ʻalu hake mei he loto luo ʻe moʻua ia ʻi he tauhele: he kuo toʻo ʻae ngaahi matapā ʻi ʻolunga, pea ʻoku ngalulu ʻae ngaahi tuʻunga ʻo māmani.
And it will be the [one who] flees from [the] sound of the dread he will fall into the pit and the [one who] goes up from [the] midst of the pit he will be caught in snare for windows from a high place they have been opened and they have shaken [the] foundations of [the] earth.
19 Kuo maumau hifo ʻaupito ʻa māmani, kuo ʻauha ʻaupito ʻae fonua, kuo ngalulu lahi ʻaupito ʻa māmani.
Utterly it has been broken the earth utterly it has been split through [the] earth certainly it has been shaken [the] earth.
Wildly it will stagger [the] earth like drunkard and it will sway like hut and it will be heavy on it transgression its and it will fall and not it will repeat to rise.
21 Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ʻe tautea ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau ʻae kakai ʻeiki ʻoku ʻi ʻolunga, pea ʻi he māmani ʻae ngaahi tuʻi ʻo māmani.
And it will be in the day that he will visit [judgment] Yahweh on [the] host of the height in the height[s] and on [the] kings of the earth on the earth.
22 Pea ʻe tānaki fakataha ʻakinautolu, ʻo hangē ʻoku tānaki ʻae kau pōpula ki he luo, pea ʻe tāpuni ʻi he fale fakapōpula, pea hili ʻae ngaahi ʻaho lahi ʻe ʻaahiʻi ʻakinautolu.
And they will be gathered a gathering prisoner[s] to a pit and they will be shut up at a prison and from an abundance of days they will be visited.
23 Pea ʻe toki puputuʻu ʻae māhina, pea ʻe mā mo e laʻā, koeʻuhi ʻe pule ʻa Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau ʻi hono māfimafi ʻi he moʻunga ko Saione, pea ʻi Selūsalema, pea ʻe ongoongolelei ia ʻi he ʻao ʻoe mātuʻa ʻo hono kakai.
And it will be abashed the moon and it will be ashamed the sun for he will reign Yahweh of hosts on [the] mountain of Zion and in Jerusalem and before elders his glory.
