< ʻIsaia 12 >
1 Pea ʻi he ʻaho ko ia te ke pehē, “ʻE Sihova, te u fakafetaʻi kiate koe: he neongo ne ke houhau, ka kuo ke fakafiemālieʻi au.
And thou shalt say on that day, “I will thank thee, O Lord, that thou wast angry with me: thy anger [now] is turned away, and thou comfortest me.
2 Vakai, ko e ʻOtua ko hoku fakamoʻui te u falala, ka e ʻikai manavahē: he ko e ʻEiki ko Sihova ko hoku mālohi ia mo ʻeku hiva; pea kuo hoko foki ia ko hoku fakamoʻui.”
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust him; for my strength and song is Yah the Eternal: and he is become my salvation.”
3 Ko ia te mou ʻutu ʻae vai ʻi he fiefia mei he ngaahi matavai ʻoe moʻui.
And ye shall draw water with gladness out of the springs of salvation.
4 Pea ʻi he ʻaho ko ia te mou pehē, “Fakafetaʻi kia Sihova, ui ki hono huafa, fakahā ʻene ngaahi ngāue ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kakai, fakamatala kuo hiki hake hono huafa.
And ye shall say on that day, “Give thanks unto the Lord, call on his name, make known his deeds among the people, keep it in remembrance that exalted is his name.
5 Hiva kia Sihova; he kuo ne fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa lelei ʻaupito: ʻoku ʻilo ia ʻe māmani kotoa pē.
Sing unto the Lord; for he hath wrought a stupendous thing: known is this on all the earth.”
6 Kalanga pea mavava ʻi he fiefia, ʻa koe ʻoku nofo ʻi Saione: he ʻoku lahi ʻae tokotaha māʻoniʻoni ʻo ʻIsileli ʻoku ʻiate koe.”
Call aloud and shout, inhabitress of Zion; for great is in the midst of thee the Holy One of Israel.
